  1. As per the title, does anybody have a spare Speedline alloy wheel they'd be willing to part with? Postage to Devon, unless it's close enough to collect! First post in goodness knows how long. It's good to be back!
  2. For what it is worth, that's one of the nicest Rados I've seen. Love it mate.
  3. Maybe give Matt at Volkscraft a call. He's in Exeter and is undoubtedly the most honest and thorough mechanic I've ever dealt with. :salute: http://www.volkscraft.com/
  4. If someone was interested in the AWK element, they could pick up anything from G1 to G20 from the DVLA for £499. The G60 is of obvious attraction for the Dub crowd, so I'd say anything up to £500 is realistic. Dealers will always push the price up to tempt you into listing it with them.
  5. Yep - Adrian Flux seem very good to me. Had the Rado on limited mileage discount, but switched to off road cover last month. Got a refund on the policy, so can't say exactly how much it costs, but is somewhere around the £100 mark. Going to insure the Passat with them also. Everytime I call, they are courteous, knowledgeable and based in the UK. Top job.
  6. May be totally fine, but if you look in the information that eBay self completes, the registration mark is down as an 02 plate?! eBay automatically disguises it, but when you click on the link it states that the DVLA has no recollection of the mark. Again, may be an honest mistake, but probably worth doing an HPI check if you haven't already.
  7. Is on sale tomorrow. Front page is the new Scirocco and they feature the Corrado and MK1 Scirocco. Might be worth checking out. Sorry if this has been posted before.
  8. Good to have Sunday nights back to normal. No doubt Clarkson will be blamed when the first petrol tanker is stolen! I was fortunate enough to see it being filmed back in 2005. Was fantastic. The whole thing is done in about five hours, depending on how many takes it takes (if that makes sense!). After each segment, there's a mass brawl to get to the front behind the presenters. Girls (and blokes) were literally reapplying their make-up between each scene in case they got noticed. I was just happy to mingle round the back and check out the cars. Good day out - they should bring out an 'un-cut' version as some of the unbroadcastable jokes/comments are very close to the mark. Happy Days.

Well done that man! Looks a treat. What number is it? The early ones came with LSD. Enjoy!

Bring it on! You'll love it! If you stumble across #351, let me know. I was the second owner of this. Really tempted to get one again myself, but am veerint towards an Integra Type-R next time. Good luck in your search for an FRP.
  11. B3081 - Shaftesbury to Wimborne (as already mentioned) - such a great road for so many reasons. B3306 - St Ives to St Just (Cornwall) - early morning before the tourists - a wonderful experience. A272 - Winchester to Haywards Heath - especially the wooded section and tunnel! B3157 - Weymouth to West Bay - especially the bit coming into Burton Bradstock. B3274(?) - old A30 near Roche (Cornwall) to Tregonehta - now liberated thanks to new A30 and tourists being re-routed. A15 - Sleaford to Bourne in Lincolnshire B4494 - Newbury to Wantage - love it! Plus the Klausenpass and Grossglockerpass - but not sure if they count?!

Yes and I think BMW bought five when they were tweaking the dynamics for the new MINI.
  13. Now is not the time to sell anything remotely powerful or interesting. The market is extremely low and it is a definite buyer's market. I'm in the same position. Umming and arrring about whether to sell the Passat workhorse or cherished Corrado. Corrado wins everytime! :D
  14. Welcome back to the fold! Great choice of colour...! :notworthy: I actually quite like the wheels...

In defence of the Puma... I bought one new in 2001 and it was a cracking little driver's car. Traded it in after only nine months to buy a Racing Puma. Now THAT was in a different league - unbelievable handling, wonderful exhaust note, the best Sparco seats in the business etc, etc. I'd have one in my dream garage everytime - enjoyment levels ALMOST on a par with my VX220. If it had more power, it would probably be up there with the likes of the ITR, E30 M3, Escort Cosworth etc as one of the best ever driver's cars. To write the standard Puma off as a girly car does it no justice whatsoever. It is commonly regarded as one of the best FWD cars of all time and the 5 evo stars are a testament to its ability. £1.5k to £2k gets you behind the wheel of a 80k miler R or S plate and that's not a lot of money for a whole lot of fun. For me, 1.7 in silver with the original propellor alloys is the one to have. Memories of the Steve McQueen ad! Try one out - it'll put a smile on your face. Cheers.
  16. Welcome! I'm just across the border in Devon, so will look out for you! Although I'm in the Passat more than the Rado at the moment.
  17. *ding* Good point. 120k miles with loads of bills, receipts and low number of owners is better than 80k miles with sketchy history and multiple owners. In my opinion!
  18. Congratulations mate. Looks very nice. What steering wheel does it have on it? Enjoy the drive back!
  19. £258 - limited mileage, fully comp, agreed value, 4 years NCB, garaged, rural postcode. Adrian Flux were by the far the cheapest and most helpful. Got a 15% discount for mentioning this forum, Club GTi and SWDubs!
  20. Blimey, goes back to the days when Clarkson spoke 'BBC English" :D I remember sitting down to watch that epidose too - 8.30 BBC2, Thursday night I seem to remember. 14 years ago... :(
  21. Really sorry to read about this. She looked like a nice one too. Hope the situation sorts itself out and pleased you and your wife are ok. Best.
  22. In the words of a recent Honda ad - "I couldn't have put it better myself". R8, RS4, S5, S3, RS6 - in my opinion the best of each breed currently available on the market.
  23. For me, it is a classic halo ad - designed for the brand, rather than direct sales. They have created an aspirational product - it will drive footfall in to dealerships, increase web traffic and enhance the Audi brand. Sales of the A5, TT and new A4 will increase as a result. Sales of the R8 will be a secondary objective. All in my opinion of course!
