Yeah, i've read somewhere that mk2 1.3 golf cables will fit. There a bit shorter but will go apparently.

I've put a 2 litre 16v in mate. Well, my mate did it for me this time after the near breakdown yours gave me. Lol. Used the box off the 1.8 tho cos i knew it was a good one.

The bit that goes in the gearbox. MOT looms so need to get it sorted. 2.0 engine but i'm sure the 1.8's will be the same. Thanks

Saw an aqua blue? rado, not sure what flavour on the A449 at Gailey. It was just about Stafford side of the A5 junction. Was in the A6 so didnt flash.

Mine has been as good as gold. I left it for 5 days sat on the drive getting covered in snow and it still fired instantly. It heats up dead quick too, everyone in the street was looking puzzled as the old girl defrosted 3 times quicker than their modern machines. Handling wise its been superb, think its the low centre of gravity. My A6 Avant has been a nightmare, the friggin doors wont even latch in minus temps until the car warms up. :camp:

Sounds like diesel to me. I've done it on 2 wheels, i very nearly sh*t myself. :shock:

Went to view an Audi A6 at a local dealership (Autovogue in Stafford) which specialises in rather high end motors. Parked up the C and the mechanic promptly came out and started walking round giving it a proper good looking over. I walked back over and said "do you want it shifting mate?" but i knew he was admiring it. "Are you chopping this in?" he asked. "Not a chance mate, this baby is going nowhere". He seemed a little dissapointed but went on to tell me how he had a mk2 gti and loved rado's. It seemed a little bizarre that the forecourt was full of 10k to 40k motors and were stood talking about my £800 rado. Thats why Corrado's are so special imo.

Yeah, i'm much the same mate. I only really use the rado to go work when its pissing down (quite a bit lately) as i live on western downs and work at Alstom on the lichfield road. I was having issues with rich running but mine is a bit simpler to sort as i have k-jet fuel injection. I do have a good mechanic mate who could probably have a look if your losing patience. Give me a shout if so.

Sorry to go off topic but whereabouts in Stafford are you Stafford16v? I've not seen you around. Nice to know there is another valver in the area to compare problems with. Lol.

I've resurrected this thread as i'm looking at some borbet t's atm. They are 16x7.5, 4x100 and the offset is et20. The tyres are 205/45/16. I know the stud pattern is correct but will they fit my valver with no spacers or rubbing on lock etc. My car is lowered 40mm. Thanks guys.

After owning an array of 80's and 90's VW's with notoriously suspect handbrakes, i have learnt to always leave my cars in gear. Even the newer non dubs i've owned. It's become a habit really.

I took a photo of my mate in front a a "ride the beaver" bus at Twycross zoo. How we laughed :lol: I'll try and dig it out.

Saw a black J reg coming round the castlefields roundabout going towards Stafford town centre. Looked like a G60 but not too sure, would have been about 6pm.

Good work. Those photos were well worth the effort.
