Hi All I am after a passenger side inner upper door card trim in black. The plastic strip that covers the top of the door card. I have a black leather interior (not sure if there is any difference between the trim on the cloth or leather door cards) and mine has a crack in it. Would need to be in perfect condition with no cracks of scratches on the visible edge. Many thanks, Jon

It's all gone a bit quiet hasn't it? I'd be interested too if we were to look at a group buy. Seems we have a fair amount of interest. But if there is no potential saving afoot we may as well just buy them all individually as and when we need them.

Very interested in one of these too so let me know when u get round to selling your spare ones. Although something tells me I am not first on the list judging by the thread. I'm not a car audio expert so this might be a stupid question but surely fitting is simple? Don't they have a standard ISO connector on the back or is the wiring different to aftermarket units? Any update on these Pat? Did you manage to get hold of a few of them with the green illumination. Interested to see how it looks when it's all illuminated etc.

Whenever possible I use the better fuel, 97,98 or 99 if available. To be perfectly honest I never really feel the difference with normal driving between the higher RON fuels and normal 95. Its just peace of mind really that you are putting in better fuel. I do think I get slightly better MPG with the higher RON fuels and I know in theory I should be getting slightly more power but for my standard vr it definately isn't very noticeable to me. There is also the addatives that go into the more expensive fuels that are another benefit. Although I don't use it very often, my vr runs perfectly on 95. But I would say stick to the good stuff if possible. Best to treat the car to the good stuff if only to make you feel better. :) Anyone else have similar experiences?

Ha ha, cheers for the advice. Yeh, I am kinda set on the spring + t/a combo now. Ill just do a bit of research into what has been the most successful on Vr's. From experience, what am I looking at with regards to insurance premium increase. Currently have the car on a limited mileage Classic Car policy as I have another car so hopefully it won't make much difference?

Hi Guys I have a ‘95 VR which is totally standard. Up until now I have liked the standard look but recently the ridiculously high ride height has started to annoy me. :scratch: I know this subject has been covered many times but I was just after a bit of guidance suspension wise. Current setup is OEM and has probably never been touched in its 15 years. Strangely though, the car rides really well with no crashing or knocking at all and the suspension seems to be in great condition. The car has done 95k. What I’m after is a subtle drop of around 35-40mm just to make it look normal! I am no boy racer and quite like the current comfort levels. I know that lowering the car inevitably increases the stiffness and I quite like the idea of tightening the handling a bit. I really just want to know the best and most subtle way of doing it without upsetting the cars ride and looks too much. Essentially I want the car to still look quite standard but just sit better on it’s 15” speedlines. As my current suspension seems to be in great nick, is it bad form to look simply at lowering springs? Will 15 year old OEM shocks just be awful on some 40mm lowering springs? Coilovers aren’t really on my shopping list as I am not in need of adjustability or race spec handling. I have been thinking of Koni TA shocks and some H&R or PI springs, these seem to have gone down well in the past. It’s probably good form to replace the top mounts irrespective of what I choose isn’t it? Jon

Perfect! Thanks Olly. Ill have a butchers this afternoon and set about replacing the pump in the next week or so. There is a little conflicting information regarding the sender. I've got a 95 VR so I'm hoping the existing sender will fit the new pump. Providing I get the 4 bar '1HO 919 651 Q' type? Sounds pretty straight forward. Thanks again. Jon

Hi I've got the described pump 'whirring' sound coming from the rear drivers side of my VR. Fairly sure it is the fuel pump making the noise but performance seems ok (Or at least if it has dropped off, it has only done so gradually) so I guess its just getting a bit tired. I will probably replace the pump just to be on the safe side if not simply to get rid of the constant whirring! Haven't been able to find much in the way of information about how to replace it. Where is it located and how do I access it? I'm fairly mechanically minded but just haven't got around to having a close look yet. Any help would be much appreciated.

Spotted 3 in Abingdon today! Seen none around for ages then 3 in one day. Anyone on hear? - Dark Green with cream leather aftermarket rear lights, lowered. - Navy with cream leather, lowered. - Navy with black leather and a child seat.
