  2. hi i had a loom off him and sent it back , was not happy with some of the ways he joined wires and he used wire cutters instead of a crimper for the lucar connectors , he did give me a refund ,but did not answer when i asked him about the crimping, this is only my personal dealings with him there me be others. i made my own soldered and heat shrinked all my joints , i was just being lazy with the ebay one :)

i still dont understand do you mean worse than 20mpg , you can not be going any sort of distance and your car cant be getting hot or something
  11. Don't suppose his brakes failed? no he just drove in there i saw it being pulled out then he drove away, and if you look at the pic the back end of the car is in the gravel deeper than the front were he try d to get out :)
  12. its on a really steep hill were i live they put it in after a tank transporter carrying a tank lost its brakes and plowed into a tree at the bottom near the junction there is a building at the bottom of the hill were the have a play group for kids it good have been nasty ,oh yeah it took the tree out but then an 80 ton tank transporter will do that :shock:2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDCP_0017.JPG[/attachment:jcwevj8r]DCP_0018.JPG[/attachment:jcwevj8r] i have pics of the crash but i cant find them but you get the idea the noise it made was unbelievable as it crashed and the tank broke its chains and nearly took the cab out Was that the accident that happened on the road into Pembroke from Castlemartin? I think that the transporter was carrying one of our tanks on the back at the time, as I'm sure one of my tank drivers was also in the cab. The female soldier who was driving the tank transporter potentially saved the lives of alot of children that day, by her quick thinking and deliberately crashing into the wall and tree on the way down the hill to scrub off the speed. She got a commendation for her actions. I think it happened about Mar/April 2004? Since then the council have installed the gravel trap slip road to prevent a repeat performance. thats the one well done on her could have been a lot worse for her or anyone else , good job with the quick thinking took a lot of bottle to put that transporter into the tree like that , its a lot longer than that thou it has to be around 5 - 6 years ago now not sure exactly but i know because i was living somewhere else at the time and i moved at least 5 years ago if not longer , i quite often think about it as i use the road every day hence the top picture
  13. no mate new one fresh on they dont look as chunky as the pic seem to make them below is a different views they sit flat but at the end of the day its all personal choice if we all liked the same thing life would be boring :D
  14. hi personaly dont like a stretch so i would always run a 205 , 40/45 is up to you and why go narower than standardDSC00245.JPG[/attachment:f3d6btjz]
  15. my rear track is even less than standard due to the 16v rear beam and the vr6 front wishbones. I want to fit wider tyres, not so fussed on going larger diameter i would definately go with wider tyres than diameter corrados look much better with a nice meaty wheel on the back ,but i am not a fan of the stretched look
  16. it would be great if any of our goverment had half as much back bone :?

whats with the vr owners bit its the best car i have ever owned on fuel anywhere between 30-37 mpg great stuff Not if you drive it properly you wont! I think im qualified to comment as I also OWN a 97 VR6 highline golf, standard engine, and around the town you will be lucky to get 20-25 out of it!! on a motorway run i have seen (on MFA) upto 37mpg, its hardly economicla if you drive it hard, unless you have one of those Ebay fuel savers fitted [/quote:2qdqiprh] your getting 20-25 you want to try getting the engine out of the redline i do drive 0-60 as you are meant to and as for driving it properly anytime your at a track day give me a shout i will show you driving properly , i have owned many fast cars my last car i would hit low 20s but that was frequently 100 plus (private track officer) and that was over 350bhp so i can only think you dont get out of 3rd gear the worst i have seen the vr is 27 avg on the mfa ,dont understand what your doin mate :)

Sorry Mum! I always go in expecting something to fail, I'm NOT a MOT tester so I don't know everything that it will fail on. However a couple days before it was due, I noticed a split UJ boot so, not being able to get one in time, and the fact that I'm out the house at 6am and not home till 8pm (by when I really don't feel much like working on the car when I get in) I gave it to my mate who's a mechanic to take for a MOT, advise me on what it failed on (if anything) and let me know how much and how long. Oh and the fact that I'd lost my front UK plate the day before to an idiot in the station carpark that took TWO attempts to destroy it it would have failed on that too! Apart from plates (with the above "fails") It did only fail on the CV Gaiter (and not on the clicky CV under it strangely enough!), and a bulging soft line (which looked fine to me when I was under the car, but I guess without tramping on the pedal...) i should think so too they cant fail the cv click because the mot does not include a road test madly enough so you would never know its clicking unless it was really stuffed and it clicked driving in hope you have it sorted now MUM
  20. i had this email the other day the thread has sort of gone this way Britain Needs A Leader Like This! Prime Minister John Howard - Australia Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.' 'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom' 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!' 'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.' 'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.' 'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.' 'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.' Maybe if we circulate this amongst ourselves, British citizens will find the backbone to start speaking and voicing the same truths. If you agree please SEND THIS ON P.S I think this also goes for us when going to other countries as well!
  21. i think he did not realise the escape road was so deep plonker
  22. hi i owned one and sold it about 3 months ago there great cars and really nice to drive mine was mrc chipped which gave it 320bhp and was very reliable , 60 came up in about 5 secs and i did see 165 mph not bad for a family car and suprised a lot of people , the down side is there very complicated, the engines are solid they use a 2.7 v6 quad cam 30v with variable valve timing and of course 2 K03 turbos , if you were buying one get a face lift model also if its had a K04 turbo conversion all the better and also the earlier cars had a problem with internal heatshield in the manifold breaking up ,turbos are fairly easy job on most cars but the v6 s4 needs the engine out to do so which is around a 30 hour job hence if its already been done all the better ,otherwise you could see anything upto 3k dissapearing all this is why i sold the car but it was a fantastic car if you need more info go on the RS246 forum and have a look in there it did put a big grin on my face every time i drove it so does the vr but its different , the s4 was a fantastically quick car ps. i miss the power
  23. mk1 wheels bottom row each end multispoke was an audi coupe wheel which vw was it on and the last one was a coupe and seies 2 a80 wheel called a cookie cutter if thats a nic name or real i dont know the cookie cutter was audi only as far as i am aware , and the corrado selection is looking a bit bare to as already mentioned, fun to look through thou and loved his disclaimer
  24. we should be more like aussies if you want to go into the country its there way if you dont like there rules dont go , and the best bit if you want to live there you have to support yourself for 2 years before there governent even recognises you so no spongers and drop outs unlike this country that will take any tosser in and give them what the hell they want it make me sick i have worked since i was 15yrs old and all i get is taxed on every thing to support the bloody wasters , this country is just a big sponge for all the crap , and the have to go through other countrys to get here because they no there on east street when they do it ,makes me sick and angry rant over

    mot s

apparently if it goes ahead the mot would cost £100 instead of 50 so the cost would be the same effectively ,and if you failed your first you would then be put on an 12 month test again , but all in all it is a bad idea as far as i am concerned
