I guess in the span of 2 years and 600+ looms there are going to be some problems. use a crimpers for lucar connectors not a wire cutters , and if there is a problem dont send it out , if i had not checked it and just fitted it ,it would have left me in the dark , and if he has done 600+ i had mine a couple of months ago surely they should be perfect by now.

shooting them is too quick they want stringing up by there bollox :mad2:

the blue relay is a flasher relay ( the clue is in the pictures on it ) :D its an electronic one that looks like it was fitted in conjunction with the dash light for the trailer indicators , i take it the towbar is gone off the car ?

Just been looking through your past posts but not found what you mention. James makes more than one type of loom so i'de like to know what anyone finds questionable and try and quash any fears. i had one of these looms and promptly sent it back , i had a 35 pound loom so not a cheap one , initially it looked ok then i noticed the lucar connectors were crimped with a wire cutters so they were split through the insulation of the connector also a few were loose to start with also at the relays were the live headlight supply wires were , was a botch job , fair deal he sent my money back once i returned the loom minus my paypal charge and return postage so it cost me , so it serves me right in a way as i was only being lazy and i made my own soldered and heat shrinked , and as for 4 relay job a lot of cars only have a single relay for dip and a single for main so as long as you use quality relays there is no issue , have 4 if you feel the need but i have been uprating my various cars headlight looms for years and have never lost dip or main , and this is not a dig at james its what i found with the loom i had supplied to me.

all stuff looses power through drivetrain its a fact of life thats why fly wheel bhp dosnt really matter its whats at the wheels ,and even more important is torque as that whats turning the wheels and thats what we all want the most bucket fulls of torque mmmm :D

i tend to use the audi in the rain more , the vr does get used in the rain but not as much if i can help it , and the quad is just for fun :) and as some have said why more than one car well the audi the missus drives too (keeps her out of the C)the C is mine and mine only but i use it most days and motorway use , and the quad thats just for green laneing and general fun so why not were only here once its not a rehearsal it will be over soon enough so live it to the full :)

very intresting , but i have to ask what sparked it off :) and when does part 2 come

hi i would use one of those engine supports that go across the engine bay and support the engine off the inner wings you will have no worries about the engine falling off anything and you can still jack the car up and down without any hasle

oil is blue coming out of tail pipe , white smoke is usually caused by a head gasket when the engines hot, but we all get white smoke with a cold exhaust system (ie. in the mornings especially at the moment )its life because an engine produces 1 gallon of water for every gallon of fuel burnt :) and i also use fully synthetic ,sylkolene pro s 10w /50 and its noticeably better sounding engine and lots of people mention the price , its roughly 35 to 40 pounds a gallon ,plus a filter so how much is a rebuild for the sake of good oil every 6 - 8k
-
Cheers mate, I'm really impressed with them and I think they are fairly accurate. Getting about 4 bar oil pressure at cold idle and just under 2 bar at warm idle so about what I'd expect. Now if only I can sort everything else! thats about right i get a little more but i am running silkolene pro s 10w/50, very envious they even light up really nice, they look back lit if they are why did they not do the dash like that looks so much better
