  1. nice car great colour :)
  2. That looks great. Job done. I had mine fitted by a :cowboy: , when the pressure needle went off the scale (and where it currently resides) and I remarked on the wrongness of it, he said 'it's 'cause the engine's so good'. Mug. :( I've always thought the Corrado script should have been in the original style, same with the dash. :geek: What's the thingies on the thingy area-never seen that before?.. vdo guages go straight off the scale if they are connected to voltage without the sender wire being connected or as said on the switch side of the sender not the guage side
  3. have a guess what wheels i think look best on everything , all my own cars , if a car comes with nice wheels i wont change them , but if it needs a wheel update below is what i use :)
  4. when will people learn sand is soft
  5. i was not trying to put anyone off , just to beware there is nothing you can do to make them legal on a c unless you put all required extras on, i run them myself with inpros as you get a perfect beam cut no matter what light bulbs are in them as projecters use a plate for cut off ,not a lens pattern, they are still not legal ,and if you use the low k ratting ie, 3500 k to 4500 k no more you actualy get more light on the road and they dont look blue and to modern for the c , mot wise there is nothing to do with it as they only check light output and beam pattern and adjustment so no worries there. :)
  6. Yah cause X5's all have really well adjusted "self-levelling*" lights! *-self level at Corado rear-view mirror height! your not wrong, :) and disco s and range rovers
  7. look up kadvr6's car, he dyed them red but they are rover recaro's so they fit and look rather swish :-) i thought my ears were burning  heres an old pics to show you how they fit compared to the standard seats. they are comfy seats but not as comfy as ford recaros. karl hi there spot on fit they sit as good as the originals top job mate and apologies to dublife for the hyjack :)
  8. look up kadvr6's car, he dyed them red but they are rover recaro's so they fit and look rather swish :-) cheers i will :)
  9. so your looking at 2.5k then but at least you know your engines good in theory for the life of the car , it must be nice not to have any engine worrys for a long time :)
  10. hi when you put the fronts in can you post a pic up have thought of rover half leather ones but never seen them in cheers paul :)
  11. hi no hid retro fit is legal unless: the car has self levelling lights , and headlight washers and no standard corrado light gives a proper beam pattern any way they allways give to much light scatter with hid fitted new lens and reflector or not , the new lens and reflector has no bearing on legality at all do it by all means but dont excpect it to be legal its all here http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps
  12. i hope we did not loose to much off our hands
  13. the way i see it , the service book is for correspondence to mileage and date of services , a well filled in book is better than an empty one the book is no good to anyone empty , if someone buys the car after, the book is no good as they cant back stamp it ,dare i say u cant change history :D
  14. they want the car mot d otherwise you could take any plate off any thing in a scrap yard and they would nt want that you might make some money with out them .
  15. if it was me i would write in the service book mileage and date and service type, and keep the paper work as a proof of purchase of service parts reciepts are always nice to see for anything to do with your car

    Help please

no probs, no it was 92 k onwards but its changed so even with cat bypass you should have no problems ,if your car was running over 3.5% co, it would need sorting any way good luck with your test paul
  17. thats the way i have only had one car on 5x100 and thats the vr i own now the rest of my cars have always been 5 x112 or 4x 108 as my 80 v6 quattro is now which i still own

    Help please

hi if you have upto and including M registered car you dont need a cat and only have to pass a 3.5% co limit , but an N reg car and onwards has to pass a 0.3%co upto late 2001 then it goes to 0.2%co but NO car has to have a cat if it will pass these limits without one but its unlikely and very rare , hope this helps :)
  19. oh nuts thanks for the thread its just answered why my car still sits high on the rear but the front dropped i never even thought about the rear bump stops being too long , and ive been a mechanic for 20 yrs , i was waiting for the springs to settle cheers
