Thats not right, I've bought loads before and they are a couple of quid max with the nut - I'd be very worried about using B&Q ones unless they say 12.9 on them!!! A couple of quid from VAG bolts and nuts? The ones i bought from B&Q fit snug, just a tad long. Had no issues with them, i checked them after a month or so and they were still as tight as they were when i first fitted them. hi i have just bought some genuine strut bolts and nuts and they were not that exspensive but i would not be happy with the strength of the b & q ones get the genuines or some with a 12.9 stamped on the head which relates to the tensil strength they wont come loose they will just snap under load if they are weaker ones

hi vr on 35mm vogtland springs and koni sport gas adjustable dampers not to harsh only on big pot holes but very nice handling :)

fair comment anything over 240bhp has to be 4wd otherwise it will just be a waste of power and tyre rubber :)

theres nothing wrong with the basics of a beam axle all these cars with multilink suspension are an excuse for car manufacturers to mess about with things and as usuall make things over complicated more bushes to wear and more play and movement in things , only people it helps are mechanics /garages as they get paid to renew bushes a plenty , and on the main subject 4wd is great and i have had many quattro cars including UR quattro 20v turbo and a 320bhp s4 but i must say the 2wd corrado is as much fun ,but if you have the parts and competence do it ,it will be an intresting project :) edit :or from what i am reading is a completed project how is it sticking it

ABS pump noise at low speeds or slowing to a stop
paul20v replied to corrado g's topic in Drivetrain
get an abs diagnostic , diagnostic can measure abs sensor individual speed readings ,or bring a fault code up but clean the rings first its free. -
ABS pump noise at low speeds or slowing to a stop
paul20v replied to corrado g's topic in Drivetrain
hi bang on i would say dirty sensor rings it causes the abs sensors to miss read and effectively tell the abs you are having wheelslip as you are pulling up to a stop ,i had it with a 90 quattro once cleaned the abs rings and all was good ,and not the only car its happened to which i have fixed the same way :) -
thanks mate thats all i wanted to know cheers

hi would a coilover kit off a mk2 golf fit a vr6 corrado cheers
-
agreed but with hid the lumens are determined in conjuction with the k rating hence 4500k kit is brighter on the road than a 6000k kit the blue light has less actual light on the road so colour does matter in the real world
