  1. I'm not sure I could go with either the C20 just annoys me... can you not get C04 RDO/C08 RDO or something? Best plate I ever saw was on a suped up pillarbox red convertible beemer in warrington, driven by a black dude with a massive afro; M111 NGR. so good!

    ABS Light

Wish I'd seen that before my last MOT! My abs had been disconnected, so the garage reconnected it and the light came on (orange light of doom...). they ended up replacing two wheel sensors because of the fault codings but I bet they didnt check any connections for corrosion etc etc!! Bar steward...
  5. Cheers for sorting these Jake, must be an effort with handwriting addresses and whatnot! Got mine yesterday and they look good.
  6. The car doesn't look as bad in the vid as in the pictures, I was wondering how the hell he survived at all!
  7. Are the headlight covers some of you guys are fitting offering a different look or protection from the laminex? Just wondering why you havent gone with the film everywhere...
  8. you council workers :nono: :nono: :nono: FOR SHAME![/quote:20us5kov] Haha, nice Alex, your rage is noted! Lets not brow beat all council workers tho, they don't all have 6 garages. Or do they?!!
  9. Dark blue L reg 16v with the rear 'corrado' badge missing and in need of a clean outside Boots at Cheshire Oaks...
  10. Cheers Kate, I will have a look for it shortly. Hadn't looked into the council option either so thanks for that guys
  11. Yes but you still have the asset which may well have appreciated in value. Another way of looking at it is what would it cost you to borrow £30K or what interest could you get on £30K of your savings? less than the £2700 income/yr you might be getting (c9%) although it might be hard to get £75/month from 3 punters each and every month. I'm not sure I would still have the asset on such measly incoming cash, I don't see those ends meeting! That £2700 would disappear fast if you start thinking about expenses and overheads that might crop up. Altho after looking about, £75pcm is probably too cheap for such a cosy sounding setup
  12. So how long til you can make those seats to order? :norty: Great car, I'm not sure where you get the time! Insomniac???
  13. This looks ideal; http://manchester.gumtree.com/manchester/93/52451193.html a snip at only £30,000. £75pcm x 3 = £225 £30,000 / £225 = 133 months, or 11 and a bit years to pay back the capital, not including interest, tax, and other costs... surprisingly the maths don't stack up!
  14. In that case I will go with 2 instead of my original one please :D
  15. Yep, looked on gumtree. Any more details about it? Reddish is right round the corner from me! My kinda price range too...
  16. Yeah, I just want somewhere to keep mine out of the crap weather and replace the occasional bust crack pipe etc. I think I was expecting about the £30pcm mark but there doesn't seem to be much in manchester anyway, just lots of outdoor spaces to let, more for people who work in the city centre. 20 miles away in a barn is random! lol. beefy security would definitely be the idea anyway, part of the buildings construction ideally Not part of the plan! I think some careful wording including 'at your own risk' should avoid the need for that. Technically individuals would be leasing space so what they do in it is their own business... yada yada
  17. lol, lets see if Swompy can get some of those made up along with the window stickers!
  18. Just wondering of the people who keep their corrado's somewhere other than home, what sort of space have you got and how much does it set you back pcm? I've been looking for a lockup in manchester with very little joy... :brickwall: I'm also wondering whether there is enough demand out there to invest in some land, build a decent garage style hangar and rent the space to people who want to use it to work on longer term projects. What would you pay for a secure workspace with good lighting and a small but flat area outside that could be used for mini test runs etc.
  19. Yeah the ones coming off the road should improve the life of the ones that need parts, and overall the herd will be healthier on average. Mine was on the road 2007, currently SORN (but in good nick!)
  20. Cheers guys, aye, that's what I'll do. some of the threads are so long tho, I was just looking for the basics before i take hours looking at them! good advice, i've learnt the hard way on other things I've done... if it was a typo then it was someone else's, i'm sure that was what I read! Cheers for the various answers Walesy, all well noted, its a case of too much info on here to start with! lol. And dammit, don't i just know you are 100% right... :D Shane
  21. lol, i am confusing threads somewhere... a nice colour anyhoo
  22. that's not nice, maybe the guy was out with his sledgehammer to put it down and thought your car would do the job better? its a shame it happened to you but its entirely the owners fault..
