How come yours doesn't go over 120? The G60's are good for 140mph+:)
-
Alright James You never cease to amaze  me with your VW's. They look really nice. Those Porka seats have always been a favourite and I thought about doing a similar transplant. Keep up the good work Sy

I'm interested and can confirm when a date in October is sorted. Will be good to see what other cars are doing with what mods. Must get my charge cooler water pump sorted as hot air isn't going to help my BHP figures.
-
They look pretty tasty. How do they compare to the BB RSR outlets. I assume as they are ported to match the charger then they would enable even more air flow?
-
I had exactly the same setup. A JR cone filter (not from Jabbasport, bought seperately). I ended up going back to the standard airbox with cold air feed from the removal of the carbon canister. I changed back as was more worried of the JR filter letting more dirt through into the charger. Only my opinion thats all. When I had the JR filter you would get a wicked whine from the charger on the over-run...... always a crowd pleaser :)!! Still with the standard box I get a nice little whistle when changing gears.

Looks the business! Was wondering what those In Pro rear lights would look like on a black car as I thought about getting M3 style ones; answer: they look spot on! The paint work on your car looks really good, is it all original

The radiator fan on my 92 Corrado G60 only comes on at the higher of the two temperatures. The motor has a three pin socket allowing for two speeds. It has a new switch which should enable the fan to come on firstly at 85 then faster at 92. An auto electrician told me that the fan motor was on its way out and could do with replacing. I was then told by someone else that the radiator fan motor will either work or not; not at one temperature/speed or the other. Any ideas?

You should be able to get hold of this pipe secondhand as there are always people breaking Corrados. Induction kits are a personal thing. A lot of people use them but personally I would prefer to keep the standard box and panel filter. The reason being that I feel that the performance induction kits could potentially let more dust/dirt through into the charger. Also to gain from them they need shielding from the engine to help prevent engine heat from being sucked into the filter. Induction kits do sound pretty cool though :):):). Maybe have an induction kit for the summer then change back to the standard box etc throughout the winter months.

Live in Chelmsford Essex :( but am always going back and forth from the Berkshire area. I hate the M25

Trimsport sell a range of badges including the VR6. Their website is: http://www.trimsport.co.uk/html/badges.html

I lowered mine on coilovers so low that the driveshafts where rubbing whilst going over bumps on the front subframe  Thought I had better raise it a lttle!! If you have it too low :) , it's a nightmare going anywhere with speed bumps. Also I couldn't park in multistory car parks as I couldn't get up the ramps.

Mines 116,000 and growing fast at the moment  ...... need a second car so as not to rack up the mileage too quickly.

I've got one and its ok, not always that easy to find what you are looking for  . Its worth having one if you can get one cheap say off Ebay (Haynes do not do a manual for the Corrado), but I would be reluctant to pay the full wack for it. There are a lot of people on the forum that can always post up the pages from the CD if you have any specific problems.

Owning a car like the Corrado requires you to be willing to do as much work on it yourself as possible (unless you are minted and can afford the cost at the stealers  ). A simple oil change surely has to be done yourself or get someone you know to do it for you. Its a twenty minute job and can be done virtually anywhere and for a cost of around £30-£40 all in. I would always recommend changing the oil filter and doing an engine rinse at the same time. A can of the stuff costs about £5 from Halfords and helps removes some of the rubbish within the engine.

Dan Where about in Berkshire are you from. I have never seen your Corrado in the Bracknell area. Looks sweet though :D

Rams A12.... know it well  M25.... know it well  Quiet open roads with the whining charger
-
It looks sweet. The mods that you have done are spot on. It's my opinion, but the Corrado was styled so well from the factory that it doesn't need body kits etc. The 17's and clean bodywork is pretty much all you need on the outside, however, theres always room for plenty of tuning under the bonnet to make them go even quicker. Faster the better :D :D :D

Rams He loves his VW's and modding them. I think thats one reason why he got rid of his C Storm cause its to rarer car to start going mad on it. Still looked the nuts with the replica Porsche Turbo alloys. When I'm next down in Bmouth ill get in touch as I wouldn't mind checking out your C. It looks sweeeeeeeeeeet!

It was only a year ago that I left Bournemouth. There are few places that can beat it for night life!! I try and get down there when I can as still know people that live there. I know Simon S and his MK2 with half rollcage etc. I used to go to school with him before he moved to Bournemouth.
-
I know. I only found out about it when I got the invite from Club Corrado the other week and Greece had already been booked. Your lucky anyway as coming from Bournemouth there are quite a few of you driving up and as you say you can go up (race up) in convoy. I miss Bournemouth (I went to Bournemouth uni). I used to drive a Mars Red MK1 GTi down there.

I am gutted that I'm on holiday and wont be able to go. Make sure all the photos are posted on this site so I can see what I missed.

Hi Are there any Corrado owners on this forum in the Essex area that want to meet up. Alternatively is there already a meet in the area? I can't say that it was my choice to move to Essex (job demanded). I know there are some Corrado's amongst all the Ford's   Please help me stamp down some VW authority 8) 8) 8)

Looks spot on. The BBS look sweet and can be picked up for a bargain. Just need to keep them clean which is a bit of a pain but ok if done regularly. Is it a 16 valver? Have you any plans to do any modifications and if so what? Sy

I can't comment on how good the MR2 is having never driven one, but one thing I would miss is the VW social scene. I have always had VW's and have got to know lots of cool people that share this same interest. They are also really handy when things go wrong or you need advice when modding your Corrado!

You just got mine in, against my mates silver 944 Turbo. P**sed off I had to go into forth otherwise would have beaten him on the 1/4 mile. As it was he pipped me by 0.15 seconds; and he has 278BHP and rear wheel drive :D  8)
