g60..symtoms suggest o2 sensor , could it be anything else?
Richardshoes replied to steveo29's topic in Engine Bay
I thought it might be worth checking. You may have an open circuit on the blue temp sensor or something, causing funny things to happen at operating temp. Just a suggestion. :| Alternatively you could read the ECU fault codes. I think that Riley guy has done a guide for getting the blink codes from the ecu with a simple switch setup. Try his site www.corradog60.co.uk -

Have you checked the ignition timing? Then the ignition advance? -
Been on holiday this week.... so got started on this build. Mahle 81.5mm Pistons Standard rods Balanced crank Ported rebuilt head

How are you checking that? To check the crank for concentricity it would need to be out of the block. The only part you could check would be the two ends - clutch and pulley ends I mean. If you put a dti on the ends and turn it, this will highlight any issues.

Very nice indeed. 8) What exhaust system have you opted for? That tail pipe looks shiny and new -
Nasty. Never trust someone else with your girl. :pukeright:

Hi, What is the difference in valve size between the standard head, and the big valve head from cnc heads? Cheers.

Thank you.

Hi, Where is the best place to buy G60 PG conrod bearings, other than VW? I got some main bearings of German Ebay, but am struggling to find conrod bearings. Any ideas? Cheers.

I would go direct to the forum member. He/she will know it's past. If you think they are lying to you, I'd name and shame them on here.

Hi mate. If the reservoir is full and there is no fluctuation in fluid level, then your pas system is not leaking. Otherwise, it's got an aftermarket mini top up feed system located in a hiding place that you can't see.... that's the only other logical explanation. That will most likely have a finite supply as well though lol. Alternatively, You could have both feed and return lines blocked, causing the tank to remain at the same level. Unlikely though.

Hi mate. 1 litre for 400miles? Dude, I hope it's a leak. Where did you buy it?

I'd be interested to know the actual difference in power/torque generated between a standard charger with good boost, and then taking that chager and porting it to a stage 4 then 5. Sometimes I wonder if it's a bit of a gimmick to get people to part with more cash. As far as I am aware they grind the outlet fins (which are structural) to death and a little mod to the inlet, then charge an arm and two legs for it. :|

There's a topic on the vortex where a dude has dynoed (supposedly) the car using different induction kits. The best one was SWG twin cone.

Alloy refurbs? How do they work? Don't you need the elastomer cross section to aid dampening? There is a zero at the tdc centre mark this differentiates it from the 6btdc mark. RPM = 2500 Temp >80c setting 6+-1 Coolant temp sensor removed Once done re-attach sensor and measure the advance at same rpm. The advance should be +30odd if not there is an open loop or a fault with the sensor. I just fitted a schrick asymmetric cam and am running 7degrees advance with a 65mm pulley. She is getting rather strong!
