1.8 16V, the colour is weird but very nice, most people that looked over it last Wednesday found it very nice although it hasn't been done as well as I had hoped. I love the wheels too, I didn't realise when I bought her that she has a full size spare but she has her problems, electrical, lights and central locking so I'm having someone take a look as we speak, keeping fingers crossed. I did have 16's on my Golf, OZ Super-T's but decided, especially at the moment to keep the ones that I have on her, split BBS alloys, marvellous :0) Keep in touch everyone, Paul

Sorted thanks, you can do it two ways, either take the clear plastic off and then do it which is the easiest way or take the thing apart from the other end that goes into the roof that is a big waste of time. Cheers for your help. Paul

Cheers m8, got all 5, the spare as well, result. My mate has just looked over it and a lot has been replaced, at a closer inspection the paintwork isn't as good as first seems but still nice colour, rear seats need to be cleaned and little screws need replacing, bulbs, etc. but nothing is that bad especially for the money. I will get it just right soon.

Can someone please tell me why when I put a cd in my player in chucks it back out saying error, I have it rigged up to a changer that is full but if it has a slot for another in the actual head unit I want to use it, any help would be great. Cheers, Paul

Can someone please tell me how you get the bulb out of the main interior light as I can't see and the handbook doesn't say, it doesn't seem to have a plastic holder like the other interior light, the smaller one of the two, it is just laying flat but I can't seem to get to it which is damn annoying. PLEASE HELP!!

What is a HPI check and I have checked all over the car and no sign of a prang, thank god, I love the car and will see if the door has dropped at all and just needs tightening, maybe someone can tell me, please.

I've got a G reg Corrado 1.8 16v and when I went to look at it noticed that it had a couple of tiny dents in both wings but never noticed that the drivers door doesn't close properly, almost but not quite, if you run your hand down the side of the car you call feel a slight lip but I don't think it has been in a crash although it has been resprayed. Can someone tell me what I can do that won't cost me the earth. Cheers, Paul

I've got a 1.8 16v Corrado and have ordered a K&N panel filter but don't know what else to do that will improve the performance, Blue ignitor ignition leads? NGK Spark plugs? Can someone please tell me where to start, I need more speed but don't yet have the money for the exhaust system from Supersprint or someone else including 4 branch manifold, new head, etc. so I need to start somewhere and need help, PLEASE!! The only odd part that I don't like the look of is my drivers door won't shut flush against the car, if you run your hand sideways along the car when the door is shut, obviously, then it isn't smooth but I have checked it over as did my father and it doesn't seem to have been in a crash but what do I know. It's only a 1.8 16v at the mo, the handbrake is a bit high and the accelerator pedal is heavy but I can't get it fixed until next Thursday, I'm looking for more performance but don't know where to start and clear side indicator lenses but I don't know who to contact, can anyone help, please? Can anyone tell me what the top speed without mods a 1.8 16v can get, my old car being a Mk1 Golf GTI Cabriolet 8v got about 120mph and I'm hoping for more. This is my car, I have finally got it.

I'm off to get my G reg 1.8 16v later today, checked already, heavier accelerator pedal than my 8v 1.8 GTI Golf but other than that it has a couple of tiny dents and I do mean tiny dents in the passenger wing and drivers side but as they are so small I haven't worried about it but my dad came too and has locked for big bumps and crash damage, he didn't notice anything and the clutch pedal height looks good, weird gear stick position and feel but that is because I'm used to a long shaft, oh err mrs, lol. Having a garage take a look ASAP when I get it home and hopefully they will give it the all clear for the Pack A head, Supersprint 4-1 Manifold and system, or any other option that anyone might have.

I've seen cars in the mags that have been de-badged and de-locked how do you do it and is it expensive?
