vr6 plug lead removal tools for sale (metal type)
MarkFoster replied to zerocool's topic in Suppliers Forum
Don't suppose you know the part number do you?? My local stealer manages to be both expensive and inept at the same time so they'll never find it if I go in unarmed, as it were. Thanks Mark -
I enquired too.... If enough of us ask though we may be able to shame them into making Rado exhausts again! I feel a campaign coming on... :norty:

Just wanted to give a quick heads up for a company that have been very useful in helping my efforts to source a silicone hose to fit my CDA. They're called SFS or http://www.siliconhose.com and were helpful in sourcing the section size and colour (a real nuisance if you don't want blue!) I was after - even offered advice on the kind of stretch ( ) that was realistic with their hoses and suggested an alternative way of solving my problem... Top company. Mark

My KWs came by UPS....

Image wheels will make wheels to order, I think, and they're UK based. I would imagine it's fairly costly though... http://www.imagewheels.co.uk

That's because the whistle from the turbo drowns everything out!

The third review's the best one... :)

They just look better than the worn out plastic ones I currently have on the clutch and brake, and the scratched and slightly rusty looking bare throttle pedal that I have doesn't exactly shout high end finishing  Haven't got them on yet so can't comment on feel...

Thanks for the advice guys.

I managed to pick up some TT pedals off the Bay for a decent price but am struggling to get them on.... :epicfail: The clutch has gone on - a piece of pi*s, but the brake pedal has a strange lump of rubber on the back that would seem to imply there must be a hole in a TT brake pedal, and the accelerator pedal is quite a bit smaller than Rado's meaning I'd have to do some fairly serious modding (ie reduce the size of the Rado pedal!) to get it to fit.....? Should I be adapting the rubber lump on the back of the TT brake pedal and taking the dremel to my Rado's accelerator pedal?!?! - Seems a bit drastic... The pedals came from an 04 TT if that affects anything, so I'm wondering if anyone out there with these pedals has encountered similar problems and how they got around them??? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks Mark

That's definitely been done on purpose as a comment on how you've parked your car. What a tw@t, just because you're trying to look after your car a bit. It's a sad state of affairs but if I ever have to use those big car parks I always park way out on my own as far away as possible - takes me 10 mins to ge to the shop mind you but at least I feel a bit happier about leaving the car...

Does the Becker integrate with an iPod at all? Thanks Mark

I have to confess I'm just regurgitating what I've read - I've never even taken the spark plugs out!! :ignore:

I just so happened to be looking at this last night - it is in Bentley, it's in the 93-94 update at the back..... I have to say I'm not entirely sure what it said now (12 hours is a long time for my aged memory!!) but I vaguely recall 0.7mm being mentioned. - Check it, it's definitely there.

It's the ANPR cameras that can't read non-legal plates. I guess speed cameras get checked by a human eye. The ANPR system, as I understand it, is primarily for being able to quickly track a certain registration in a security emergency, ie terrorists using the motorway network to move around quickly. If they don't enforce the use of legal plates then it would be easy for naughty people to simply slap on some 'show' plates and evade detection - hiding amongst us lot!

Buy a cheap set of standards and use them to get through the test....? -
A big thumbs up for KADVR6 (Karl) - top wheels, top bloke, very easy to deal with and an absolute bargain to boot! Even went out of his way to meet me half way on the journey between the two of us. Thanks very much mate - see you in the beer tent! :norty:

I don't know where you're based, but Paul and Simon at Trimstar near Colchester in Essex are very good. Theyv'e done a couple of 'show cars' which have been in magazines, but don't let that put you off. They're good guys who will give honest advise and are even helpful at suggesting ways you might save costs. Mark

I'd definitely be interested in seeing a 'how to' on deleting the rear towing eye hole..... -

Superb! What a great write up. Right, I'm off to get a spare bumper and soldering iron! Mark -
Quick shout for ShaunG60 who has kindly sorted me out with various bits and bobs that have fallen off my car, or were never on it in the first place....! Top bloke, very honest and even sorted a couple of fixings for me gratis. So, if you need any replacement parts give Shaun a shout before traipsing down to your local breakers. Mark

Excellent - thanks very much guys.

Thanks for that VR6, I think I've got the gist of it... One thing though, what's the best way to remove the horn cover - don't want to inadvertently break it as I may want to use it again one day! Thanks Mark

I'm sure, some time ago, I came across a 'how to' that ran through the steps to changing the steering wheel to a Momo/Issotta etc. I've convinced myself it was on the wiki knowledge base, but for the life of me can't find it anymore - I've also tried numerous searches all to no avail. Can anyone help me out and guide me in the right direction?? Thanks Mark
