Hi All, as in the title i was on my way to the vw show @stonham barns yesterday when my front left drive shaft started making a grinding noise then lost all drive!! on inspection i found the drive shaft has come out of the gear box :confused4: i didnt think the drive shaft should have enuf play in and out to do this? i checked the cv and seems ok, doesnt twist just in and out so tapped it back in looked all the way home and had drive again. i drove it a short distance and it started to come out again? can any one shed any light on this? am i missing some thing? oh car is a corrado 1991 g60 thnx stu

  3. so if i use an early loom in a late door with late doorcards the only difference is the mirror adjuster as described in the wiki guide? is that right ? i hope so!!
  4. Hi all i have searched this forum to death and cant find out what i need to know. Right basicly i have a 1991 G60 with knackered doors rust everywhere. I have a 2 late spec doors and late door cards i need to fit. What is the best way of going about this? I have read that the wiring is all different. am i best to leave the late wiring loom in the door or thread through the old loom? HELP!!???? Stu

    wheres the horn?!

    had same problem last week. found two seperate horns behind front grill disconnected one of them and the other worked?! worked for me and got me through the MOT??
  7. yes it will do if you tell them thats wot u want. They only do a green top tint for corrados tho!!
  8. take it back mate its under warranty if u just had it done! its not been fitted properly if the trim has come out. the screen its self should be put in and pulled tight against the body while the glue drys to hold the trim in.extra sealant shoulnt be used as this can hold water in the aperture blocking drainage of water and causing premature rust! the trim thats come out isnt a waterproof seal so water shouldnt come in but might whistle a bit. hope this helps stu
  9. i used to fit windscreens and original allways fits better,but its not really the make u should be worryed about its more the experience of the the guy fitting it! Believe me the last thing u want is a trainee having a go! My advice is to have it fitted in their depot not a mobile appointment as are more likely to get a good job done.
