Ive washed my car again..... Wanted to buy the Megs 3 stage stuff today but its going to have to wait a few weeks til after Pod

I take the VR to work but then most of the time if I need to nip anywhere during the day I take my Escort Van cos work pay for the diesel. But now and then think, balls to it, will go in the C. Like last week, had to go over to Preston to pick a part up from the VW main dealer. No way was I going there in the van! So went in the C and loved the people in the dealers looking at it :clap:

If I could afford to run a 2nd car I would leave the C for weekend, purely to try to keep mileage down on it and so it doesnt start to look sorry for itself. But I dont think I could bring myself to drive something crap all week, would need a V8 M5 for my daily haha

I got pushed along a dual carriageway this morning by a A4 2.0 TDI whilst in my Y reg Escort Van haha Moved over and it wafted past me easily on all its torque. Kept thinking, wish I was in the VR. But then still reckon it would struggle against alot of modern TDI engines, just so torquey. Having said that, the 57 plate Accord CDTI that wouldnt move over on the M55 on Sunday seemed to run out of steam about 135mph so moved over and the VR roared past hehe *the M55 I refer to is in fact a local private airfield which belongs to a friend, not the local extremely straight motorway :norty: )

Hmm I never checked to see if it was heated, I forgot all about that. Now Ive thought about it that car had grey dash and plastics, mine are black. Probably wouldnt look right hmmmmm

A guy came in work today and asked who owned the Rado outside, said it was me so we got talkin. Turns out he is breakin a blackberry VR and wanted to know if I wanted any bits. Went to look at it cos he said it has leather and it has grey leather in good condition, small amount of wear on drivers bolster but alot better than I were expectin TBH. He just said make him an offer. So, what is it worth???

Yea I know Im riskin a fine but the police round here seem to be ok with them. Know a few mates have them and never had any bother and Ive been sat in front of a couple of traffic cops and they didnt bother.

Cant afford BBS, well not yet anyway. Put my aero wipers on today and very very impressed, now I can see where Im going in the wet!!! Didnt go down the Lupo wipers route simply as couldnt afford them. I got some cheap aero blades off Ebay for £16 and then my mate Dean at work just bent the existing arms a bit so they put more pressure on the blades. Result!!! Work just like a brand new car now :clap:
