Hi, A year ago or so Jay Renshaw did a group buy for a set of polyurethane engine mounts for the VR6. They replaced the front and O/S engine mounts. Does anyone have any that they perhaps purchased and no longer need? I'm after the front one more so than the rear one but will take both if available. Thanks in advance! Tom

Corrado666 - sorry, belt buckles and bolts have already sold. Colinman - PM sent. Tom

I've got a full stainless Scorpion system in good condition if you're interested? Round exit, would like £100 collected. Btw its a late system with the late type hangers.

I do have the steering wheel but its pretty affected by the sun to be honest, quite cracked on top. I plan on having it refurbished in alcantara which means the very good condition wheel that's on the car will be available at some point but not yet. I presume you'll want the centre console posting to South Africa? If so then I'll do it for 65 pounds posted...breakdown is 40 pounds for the console and 25 pounds for the postage. Tom

Jason, sorry for the delay. I've hunted high and low for the radiator top plastic cover and have come to the conclusion that I must have sold it previously - sorry about that! Here's a couple of pictures of the centre console - it's unfortunately not perfect due to a couple of the plastic lugs where the heater controls attach having broken off but you might be able to repair it with a bit of plastic welding possibly? Other than that it's pretty reasonable - no cracks and everything where it should be: Let me know if you're interested. Cheers Tom

I think 30 pounds posted is pretty reasonable to be honest, not really willing to go any lower than that.

Hi, I've got one, only removed because I've fitted a moonroof and associated motor. 30 pounds posted - price breakdown: 20 pounds motor 10 pounds postage Let me know if you want it. Cheers Tom

Upgrade to the Polo 6N switch, available from TPS/VW dealers. Part number - 6N0 905 865 Price is about £20 I think.

Posted this morning first class, should be with you tomorrow!
-
No! It's meant be 30 pounds...think something got lost in translation there!

Sean it's a brake light feed. There should be a black/red wire with a grey male connector somewhere in the loom behind the fusebox which will plug straight into it. If not then just splice into the brake light switch wiring itself.

Voo - £30 collected for the sunroof mechanism please!
-
Jason - haven't been able to picture the centre console or find the radiator guide as I've been in the wrong location, I'll get some pictures of it tomorrow for you. Voo - I do indeed have a fully working sunroof frame - it's the one removed from the car I've just finished rebuilding which worked well, I've just swapped it in favour of a moonroof. The rear reds are really nicely done, they've been sprayed well but small strips of orange have been masked off on the indicators meaning that enough orange shows through for it to still be obvious that the indicator is flashing when its on, I've taken a couple of pictures for you to try to show it: Let me know if you're interested! Cheers Tom

Got one here Stuart. See picture, mounting bracket is intact. Bung me a tenner by Paypal and I'll get it in the post to you. Cheers Tom

Jason - I have another radiator plastic guide which I'll dig out for you - I also have a complete centre console which I'll get photographs of today for you too. Cheers Tom

Ok cool, am I right in thinking it was a mk3 system?
-
No, I haven't listed any parts on eBay. I think a guy down the road in Belper broke a red Corrado not that long ago but either way it's not me!

Before you worry too much I *think* there is a way of getting the Corrado ABS light to work with the Teves 20 system. I need to look into a it a little bit more but if so it'd make things a lot easier. I haven't thought of a price for the package as its missing the servo so isn't ready to bolt on. For the 256mm conversion this is what you need: - The DRUM brake stub axles from a 6N2 Polo, 6K2 Ibiza, 6Y Fabia or Lupo, but they must be from an ABS equipped car. Stub axles from a later car will not work as the ABS sensors are different. Disc brake stub axles from the above cars will fit but you will need to cut off the caliper mounting lugs. - The 5 stud hubs with cartridge bearing from a 9N or 9N2 Polo (and other variants, probably Ibiza and Fabia as well). Mk4 Golf items will not fit. - The rear brake spacer plates from a Lupo GTi - these were ONLY fitted to the Lupo GTi but are still available from VW. Part numbers are: 6E0 501 465 A and 6E0 501 466 A. - Corresponding 40mm long hi-tensile bolts for the above, VW P/N - N 908 863 01 - quantity x 8. - 256mm calipers and carriers from either a 2WD or 4WD car. 2WD are preferable as 4WD carriers will require some small spacers to get the spacing right for the disc. Plus the relevant 256mm vented disc and correct brake hose. Once you've got the hubs you will need to remove (using a drift) the integrated ABS ring from the hub itself then machine a thin ring to press onto the hub in place of that ABS ring. Press the ring on to the hub then machine it down to the correct diameter in order to press on the standard Corrado ABS ring. Alternatively you could use other methods (tape wrapped round the hub? glue the ABS ring on?) but I preferred the machining route as it is a fit and forget part then. Then bolt it all together and job is a good'un. I didn't take any pictures when I was doing the conversion as I was in a bit of a hurry to get the car working but if I get time I'll strip one side back down so you can see how it all works.
-
I need to compile a list of the parts you need for the 256mm rear brake conversion. Everything is available out of the box but there is a small amount of work required to get the ABS rings to fit on the 5 stud hubs. I do have a spare ABS light for the Teves 20 system but I'm going to be selling it as a package with the complete conversion (loom, module, master cylinder etc). Sorry!

I've got a door handle, bonnet, N/S door and N/S wing, all in flash red. They will all need to be painted if you want them to be perfect but they're all reasonable and I don't want high prices for them: £50 for the door handle (it has a dave16V repair piece already fitted) £30 for the bonnet £25 for the N/S door £15 for the N/S wing £120 in total. Based in Derbyshire DE56 2JQ. Cheers Tom

Quick update - it is MOT'd and back on the road. Had quite a few problems along the way with various bits and bobs, mostly wiring related and involving issues with the Teves 20 conversion however I eventually got to the bottom of the issues (some bodgery by a previous owner) and got it sorted out. Didn't really get chance to take too many pictures of the build as I've been squeezing it in around doing my response driver training at work so was a little bit restricted by time but here's a few that I did manage to get: Partly back together: Teves 20 plumbed in: Powdercoated hubs and brand new drive flanges etc: 256mm rear brake conversion with powdercoated rear beam etc: Recaros and dash almost back together: At the MOT station: Getting there now: I've still got the reattach the side rubbing strips and sort a few other bits of trim out but it went straight through the MOT with no advisories and is a joy to drive :-) Still need to sort the final wheel alignment out which is booked for Tuesday and then a quick polish up before taking it to Harewood House next Sunday. Not much more to say really - I'm happy! Tom

Sorry for the slow reply to the thread - been on a training course for the last three weeks with work which has really kept me busy, in amongst trying to get my VR6 back together. beastie - will get pictures of the doors for you today. vr-man and cinadine - PM's replied to. Stonejag - I do indeed still have the coilovers, let me know if you want them. Cheers Tom
-
Clumpy - drop me a PM with exactly what you want and I'll sort out the relevant pictures for you as soon as I can. vr-man - I do indeed have those parts, including the scuttle panel seal however let me double check on the condition of the handbrake slidey handle! Cheers Tom

Yeah, sorry, by the arch liner I meant the small piece that covers the auxiliary belt, PAS pump etc. Good luck with it anyway!
