  1. I have Vag-com with the 16pin obd2 connector willing to help anyone i'm in West Lothian.
  2. I changed the distributor cap & rotor arm when I serviced it a couple of months ago. Could the ignition coil be on its way out or would it either give a good spark or nothing.
  3. When you say the dizzy is this the distributor cap??
  4. I had trouble getting my car to start after a short journey to my local garage this morning luckily outside the garage they reckon its a problem with my ignition not fuel related. It started eventually so I changed the plugs today also took of the ISV and gave it a clean with brake cleaner. Noticed that my HT lead from the ignition coil to the Distributor cap had a couple of marks look like scorch marks so next step will be a new set of leads. The old plugs looked ok they were just normal light brown colour. My car has been ok no problems today. See how it go's but I think new leads at the weekend will be in order.
  5. Hi I have the following fault coming up on my 94 2.0l 16v 00587 - mixture control adjustment limit 09-10 - adaptation limit surpassed - intermittent Car drives ok. Sometimes the revs at idle can go high then drop down to near stalling but then return to normal only lasts about a second or 2. Also sometimes when driving when going easy on the accelerator it will stutter a bit like no fuel but if I put the foot down then no problems. I've had my corrado for about a year and the last service I done I didn't change the plugs (haven't changed them since i've had the car) could this be my problem. I'm going to change them probably at the weekend after Christmas is out the way. Any ideas help would be apreciated. Cheers. Mark.
  6. Thanks it was open cct so i've connected a wire to earth and its now working. Cheers.
  7. The connector & pins are ok i nicked the wires next to the air filter and measured the resistance from there and its the same as the sensor itself getting around about 6.5k ohms this morning don't know if this is the right sort of meausurement its a couple of degrees outside. Not sure if the sensor is knackered but the resistance of the sensor varies with temperature.
  8. Hi I'm thinking of doing this upgrade as headlights are crap is there a big improvement once done? Is it better to replace the main headlight bulbs as well. Cheers.
  9. Hi looking for a bit of help my MFA has stopped giving the outside temperature it just skips by it. A couple of months ago it would give me the reading when I first started the car then after a couple of minutes it would skip by it. I removed the sensor and measured it with my multimeter when the temperature of the sensor varies the resistance varies hot lower resistance cold higher resistance varied from 300-3000 ohms (put it in a warm oven and into the fridge) So I think the sensor is ok. the wiring looks ok from the sensor to the loom. Does anyone know what else it could be or if my sensor is knackered should the resistance be differen't? Cheers for any advice in advance. Mark.
