  1. Ok here we go with some pics of the installation. There is a third mounting point on the Golf handbrake which you could utilise if you welded a bolt to the floor pan. I may do this later. I cut away most of the two pieces of plastic that will prevent the inside tunnel cover from going over the handbrake. I also cut away some of the top opening to ease the operation of the lever. You may notice two self tapping screws that I had installed before in order to solve the "loose tunnel rattle" that Corrado's are notorious for! This I think aides the installation. Hope this all makes sense!
  2. OK - will take the covers off and post up some pics - hopefully later today
  3. OK – fitted the golf 4 handbrake. As in previous post it is not a straight fit but a little “adjustment” to the mounting points has it fit over the original mounts and also straightened out the offset. The inside tunnel cover requires quite a bit of modifying to allow the golf part to fit but I did not have to cut the outer cover. The only other thing you need to do is to wire in the brake light switch – couple of mini female terminals to the new unit and that’s it.
  4. OK - if they do not have any cracks or major chips - I would like them so PM me with your details and payment details. Thanks
  5. Hi - how much for the indicators posted?
  6. Looks the part - so I have just bought one for £15 delivered so would love some advise on the fitting before I try myself.

    99.9 MPG - Fixed

Arghhh! - its back to 99.9 MPG today - Boxxcks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Been getting the very annoying 99.9 MPG reading foe a while now. Checked the usual suspects (vacuum pipe to cluster etc) but it was still happening. I took the pipe of the cluster again and started the engine with the pipe disconnected and there was suction. So I thought it might be the unit it connected to in the cluster and as I had a spare cluster I bought for the LCD display I dismantled the cluster (again!) and changed it and it now works!
  9. Quick update - received the sender today (excellent service from VW Heritage - ordered on Sunday evening) and everything is working fine. Thanks again JSCVR6 for the link

  13. Hi I have been trying to source a vdo dual pole sender for my oil pressure gauge (vdo 10 bar) - can anyone confirm this the one I require http://www.amazon.co.uk/Instruments-accessories-252-23-57-PRESSURE-CONNECTION/dp/B00AXI4XTS/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1EPE6KKQD2JLE Thanks
  14. Hi - pretty sure there are issues with the mounting points between the various models and with clearance over the throttle body on the 16V (there was with a previous one I bought). I think I will leave it to save you the hassle of measuring Thanks anyway
  15. Hi If it will defo fit a 16v - I would be interested. What is the modifing mark?
  16. G Reg 1990 16v First outing since the front end reburb (refurbished front sub frame, new wishbones, new ball joints, new track rod ends, every bush changed, new gearbox and rear engine mounts). 150 mile round trip up the west coast Scotland to Loch Kishorn Sea Food Bar for lunch! You don’t notice as things go gradually off but what a transformation. Solid, planted and secure under heavy braking -feels like it’s on rails. Even the gear change is sweeter with the new mounts. Lovely! Just received my rear axle bushes and hope to get them fitted in the near future. Here's to a long (hot?) summer!
  17. Well - no sign of refund despite reminder being sent - guess I can kiss my £24 goodbye! As I sent the funds as a "gift" paypal don't want to know. Shame as I will be very reluctant to pay for anything again via paypal gift.
  18. I knew I had to change the subframe so it seemed the obvious thing to replace all the bushes etc. I used mostley Lemforder bits (ball joints, drop links, bushes, tierods) and genuine VW wheel bearing. Looking forward to putting the handling to the test on Highland roads!
