I've been on that road in my corrado - during the heatwave last summer so windows open with the v6 roaring. A beautiful thing.........

For 2.5k you'd get a pretty decent vr at the moment. Not sure what you consider mega miles, but if you're happy to spend a few quid on it post purchase to get 100% this vr http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=87071 looks pretty good................... Welcome btw ! EDIT I had a 172 and wouldn't completely recommend for motorways.....terrible build quality and other niggles really got on my nerves, the corrado is a MUCH superior car

Corrado modern classic, custom cars had their day?
gregulate replied to OSV's topic in General Car Chat
Its the same with most dubs I think....hence the (imo overused and now slightly meaningless term) 'OEM+' craze...... -
I'd rather have the reliant robin in the background............

Its not a VR  Just a joke - welcome to the joy of corrado ownership you won't regret it..........

Rover metro 'sport' (oh the irony!) Pug 306 dturbo Mk3 golf gti 8v Renaultsport clio 172 'exclusive' (BMW) Mini cooper s :camp: but a laugh to drive Corrado vr6 Not sure whether to be proud of this list or not........

Damn it, that looks good and confirms my previous thoughts.......I should have forked out the extra $$$$$ and gone for the dubpower instead of the powerflow....... mind you have done 1k with the powerflow and the fit is good, and noise is good, although not excellent A bit of a bargain at £310 fitted, but that dubpower OE look is the nuts.....

Hi, some twit decided to key my c last night, 12-18 inch long scratch to the drivers side above the rear wheel arch. It doesn't look good so wanted to sort it out this weekend. I've never used t-cut or anything before as have never needed to. What are peoples thoughts ? are there better products than t-cut ? If it makes a difference the colour is metallic pearl green, and the cut is not down to the metal. Any advice welcome. Cheers,g

Just out of interest KADVR6 have you got any photos of the c with the compomotive Dages rims on ????? I just can't picture in my head how they would look ! EDIT for the record the credit crunch has limited me to the original, albeit minty, speedlines that it came with........

Don't forget to check the prices at your local independent tyre garage - they can normally give you as good a price as anywhere on line.....

I thought you guys would appreciate this..... Yesterday I was best man at my best mates wedding. We both got suited up at his mums house and I had to drive him and 2 ushers from his mums to the church, in the corrado. So on the way what happens ??? The hose coming from the top of the radiator comes loose, and comes away from its fixing pouring all the coolant over the engine. So there I am in full wedding gear on the main road out of bath, with the groom and 2 ushers, bonnet up trying to refix the hose. No coolant left in the system, and steam p1ssing off of the engine. Managed to refix it in the end but a lot of people coming into bath had a laugh at my expense. The groom was not a happy chap though ! No shops nearby, so was lucky I had a few bottles of water in the car to put back into the system, and it didn't overheat for the rest of the journey. Got to the church about 5 minutes late in the end, but there was a terrible moment I thought we would have to walk the last mile or so. Didn't tell mother of the bride as she would have strangled me ! Only in a corrado........

Those rota rb's are my all time favourite rims - never seen them on a C tho but thats what I'd get........shame they don't do them in a 5x100 fitment else I'd get some for my VR......

My mate had a gtv and the electrics were shocking (excuse the pun)......when he put his headlights on full beam the electric windows would wind down.....

I think its group 14 from memory - had one a few years ago and its def less expensive to inusure than a VR.....

Is it just me or are corrado prices - particularly for the VR - all over the place at the moment ?? There seems to be dozens of +100k miles, not A1 condition VR's on PH for around £4k, and at the same time if you look hard enough on PH and here you could get a sub-100k nice standard c for about £2-£3k. I'm guessing unless you have an absolute minter £4k is too much for a VR - so why bother overpricing your car if you want to sell  Was thinking about chopping mine in but just don't know what its worth at the moment...........
-
Cheers dude - sounds like a bit more of a pain in the ar3e than I was expecting ! Will get some of the coolant flush for sure tho. g

I noticed that the coolant level in my VR was gradualling decreasing and traced it to a small crack the expansion tank. I've got hold of a replacement tank, but to swap it I'll presumably need to drain the coolant from the system. Presumably is a valve or something on the radiator - but can anyone point me in the right direction ?? Also i guess its worth flushing the system - is it as simple as filling the system with tap water and going for a brief blast until the fans come on then emptying & filling with a coolant / descaled water mix??? Have searched to forum but can't find anything. Sorry I know this is basic stuff to most of you guys ! Cheers
