  1. Try the exhaust discussion thread for manufacturers http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25077&start=510 I went to Top Gear in Bristol for my exhaust - got a cat back powerflow system for £315 fitted and thought the fit was excellent - although to be expected really as it took the guy 3 days. He doesn't really know VW's though but will fit a system you bring to him - I was hoping to get a dub-power but just couldn't afford one in the end. http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/Stainless_Steel_Exhausts_Systems.php Don't think there's anywhere I'd go in Bath though. Also bargain hard at VW, the lady there (Sally I think ?) always seemed to drop her price pretty easily although still a bit overpriced imo. At least you get a free wash and vac !
  2. Sh1t mate, genuinely gutted for you...nothing worse than having your car broken into. Where abouts in Bath was that ??? There doesn't seem to be much car crime in Bath, so I'm surprised. Only ever been broken into once, and that was my dads mx5 I borrowed for the weekend a couple of years ago - the soft top made it easy pickings. I'm on the Newbridge Road - Bristol side. Easy for the daily commute basically. I ended up barely using the corrado so don't really need a car now - moneys in the bank just waiting for the right Mk2 to come up basically. You'll find the love for yours again tho mate. Give me a PM if you want details of any of the garages, or anything else Bath based generally.........
  3. Hi mate, I'm in bath but sadly no longer a corrado owner as of a few weeks ago. Theres 3 or 4 C's I see regularly about but other than a few waves I've not had any contact with them and don't think they're on here. Garage wise try GCS which is a good local service but not a VW specialist. The volkswagen main dealership in Newbridge are fairly easy to bargain with especially on service costs, and the service is A1 but you do get stitched up on parts costs if your not careful. I used to use Vee W services in Bristol though - the guys there know there stuff and are dirt cheap - £30ph labour cost. You can walk ther from temple meads station as well which is handy. What sort of corrado have you got ??
  4. I like it mate, cream looks good - glad to see my rear badge went to a good home ! Personally i like the slight tuck on the rims especially at the back, will look even better if you choose to drop it further.
  5. Theres one in the UD's thread about half way down - M reg blue car http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=85579&start=75
  6. I used on of these to do mine, and whilst it caused a bit of a downpour at times it generally did the job pretty well. Will also work on the floor & boot carpets but I guess as you've got a storm you don't need to worry about shampooing seats.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vax-Rapide-Compact-Carpet-Upholstery/dp/B002CZQ3VQ/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1267797358&sr=1-19 Just remember to leave a the windows or sunroof open slightly afterwards to allow it to dry properly inside......
  7. ^^ Nice one - think I've got a coilpack then by the look of it. Thanks for the quick response !
  8. Hello - quick question - how do I know if my VR6 is the coilpack model or not ? Is it something that i can derive from the VIN ? Sorry for the newb question - I'm not particularly mechanically minded....
  9. Saw 3 today... Blue VR, on black design 90's with a 'ring sticker on the back about 1.30 parked up off Victoria st in Bristol....private plate something like MyVR I think. Blue valver in Larkhall in Bath at about 4ish, and finally a rad H reg think it was a valver coming into Bath on the A4 batheaston bypass...... As I barely drive it these days I was not in my VR to give anyone a wave or a flash
  10. I challenge you not to start dancing or playing air-sax to this - what a tune !!! [youtube:5mzxxn4d] [/youtube:5mzxxn4d]
  11. Not the lowest mileage corrado per se I know.......BUT I think I'm right in saying I own the lowest mileage Corrado in green currently for sale on this forum maybe ???
  12. What car is that in the back of the 2nd last photo ? Mk1 rocco ???? Hats off to you if so !
  13. £120 a set for the original red ones from VW. You'd spend that sort of money on a car you're trying to sell would you? I just did !!!
  14. As with most things mate you get what you pay for......if you're looking at bargain basement VR6's then you're asking for trouble in my opinion........
  15. Gutted for you mate......presumably you're insured so at least you're covered financially. Theres a guy on another forum who had his S3 nicked, recovered, then nicked again. By the time he had it stolen the 2nd time his insurance had run out so lost his car completely. For what its worth I'll keep my eyes peeled in this neck of the woods....
  16. yeah dude it was me in the ... wag valver, was you also in a corrado? its my first spot since joining, nice one :) You drove past me on the Newbridge Rd into Bath today at 12.15ish.....I was on foot with my gf & dog. My c was parked half a mile or so back on the main road.....
  17. I know these cars are meant to be dogsh1t, but a maser for £1250 even with what looks like a half velour interior has to be a bargain...... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1501354.htm
  18. Do it mate - you won't reget it. BTW theres a nice VR with only 94k in the cars for sale section (see my sig below).... Shameless Plug !!!!
  19. Not sure if this is a pearoast but made me laugh. I love the guys reaction when he gets out....i don't speak german but get the message
  20. I personally think they look pretty cool......in any event I would rather have a corrado with a roof box than a bloody estate every time...... Do it and post up some road trip pics !!
  21. yeah dude it was me in the ... wag valver, was you also in a corrado? its my first spot since joining, nice one :) Nah i was on foot walking to temple meads, nice car though mate.......
  22. Saw 2 in Salisbury yesterday, both at about 4.30ish. Black one on going north on the A36 - sounded like a 4 pot of some sort - then glanced the nose a blue one parked on some side street or other no idea where ! Also loads of modded mark 4's and a chavtastic bora......there must be something in the water down there......
  23. Swompy fair play to you for sorting this out, I'll take 2 please...
