Possibly Inane chat?!!...Corrado running cost...
capnahab replied to Concept-e's topic in General Car Chat
Just to confuse the matter, I get very similar MPG from my VR to my GF's Valver.. Its actually 2mpg better on the motorway at 70mph :) -
Yes.. but does his car have soul? ;)
-
341 miles on one VR6 tank of fuel, can 360 be done surely not

See, piece of p1ss mate. My VR made 38mpg all the way down from Scotland to Taffyland, but that was keeping it between 60 and 70. -
not sure i can justify spendin another 900quid on the g60?
capnahab replied to g60greeny's topic in General Car Chat
bloody hell, £900 is not far off complete respray kind of cash. Was every panel knackered then?? -
Me old scraper. I think it looks better with all the indicators and fogs gotten rid of. The indicator is moved into the headlight area.
-
na its not noisy.. sounds as it should, but i'll check it out!
-
Yes, my K plater is definatley lower than later VR's and its all standard. Incidentally its got later clocks and interior.
-
No no no.. Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 . . . erm. .
-
Thats a MK1 Thats a mk2 Thats a mk3 Thats a mk4 Thats a mk5 :)
-
Standard corrado lights when theyre on look quite 90's agressive I think. And thats a good thing :)
-
Well fully closed the window by pulling it up and whipped off the battery for 5 minutes.. no joy. Did the same with the window fully down.. no joy. I'll try it tomorrow when I can leave the battery off a bit longer
-
Thats a very good point.. come to think of it, it started after I popped the battery off to reset my alarm.. Ill go try that now! Cheers phil
-
hahahaha! i think if they were one some really wide bodied 90's German rado then they'd probably look respectable.. but in standard form theyre very bad..
-
Hi all. My drivers window (93 vr6) is stopping short about 5 mm from totally closing. Its just short enough for wind noise to get on my wick, but not let water in. I can manually drag it up and it stays seated properly until I open and close it again... its as if the mechanism's forgot about the 5mm further it has to travel :) Any suggestions? Cheers!

And lupo wipers! I've been bitten in the same way too. Got a Bahn Brenner, then a passat 1.8t, then a Polo G40, Then a BMW 7 series... but 3 weeks ago came back to a VR6 :) And i've only just turned 25..
-
do you know i've only just noticed that.. (I didn't build the engine!)
-
Pink stuff just good old coolant for the charge cooler, and the second PAS bottle was the reservoir for it :)
-
here's a pic of my old charge cooler. Do it properly and it adds an 'ooh, thats interesting' factor to the car, if nothing else :)
-
I've got one on my VR6 and I think its tat to be honest. I know a good place with an awesome fitter... Z-EX..but its in Cardiff :/
-
anyone got a part number or a pic of what one looks like? mine's crumbled. Is it the same as the holder on the valver? Cheers
-
arr but with just Halfraud's 'max power' style tint spray? and spray the inside reflector, or the inside of the glass if I just want to do the 'inner' birt of the lights, like G60 Griffs pics?
-
erm, sorry for being a fool, but how do you get em yellow? spray or summit??
-
agree, not for a C. Would suit a slammed MK3 though. Possibly with the centres painted black and leave that lip polished.. mmm.
-
I would not fix the panels, just scrounge some glass for the moment. Keep an eye on the forums and the trader for a g60 with a aknackered charger / engine and drop yours in.. that would be the cheapest method. Repairing all the panels and paint like you say will probably exceed £1500 quid.. so depends on the finances

I think they maybe proper splits but im not 100%. I thought they may have had the look of the 'venoms' about them so just wanted to check.. Cheers!
