Hi. Managed to sort the problem out on the G60. Found the signal wire broken on the loom side of the engine wiring loom. Repaired and set up and all is spot on now. Thanks Joe

Hi everyone. I am now sorting the problem out on this car. It has had a new lambda probe and I have tried another ECU on and this did not sure it. I have checked voltage at the fuel rail (13.8V) and this is well within tolerance. I have also put another blue temp sender on just to be sure. Basically the car runs spot on until it gets warm and then within an instant it just start overfueling massively. I have had it on the emissions machine and it takes about 4-5 seconds to go from running perfectly to off the scale. The car is running red top injectors and the chip is a bbm chip to suit the bbm charger, red top injectors and uprated camshaft. Two other observations with the car are that it will not idle withe the blue tem sender disconnected. Not sure if it is linked or whether it could be the faulty idle microswitch on the throttle body. And also disconnected the knock sensor and this has slightly improved the car but is still reading high on the emissions. Any help would be greatly received a d if anymore infro is required please ask and can get back to you asap.

Hi. Im possibly going to be considering to put 2 bucket seats in my car. Do you need to fit these to a corrado seat frame or can they be fitted other ways? thanks Joe By the way im looking at these seats http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COSWORTH-RALLY-CAR-WRC-FOCUS-RECARO-HANS-BUCKET-SEATS_W0QQitemZ220570914910QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item335b0d105e

Yeh i will have to be careful. Already on 6 points. Only going to be going 60 anyway on public highways or 70 of course if it is a motorway :) Looking forward to spring fest and taking her to santa pod and see what she can really do.

Cheers guys, got it a bit cheaper than that price to be fair. Was gonna look to do a similar build engine wise but have managed to get a near perfect shell and amazing gearbox for the same amount of money and no hassle. :)

Just a little background info: I started off with a 92 G60 with no engine mods, all chassis etc. I soon started on the engine going stage 4 charger, chip etc. but then soon went BBM charger, red top injectors, piper cam and was running 210bhp. I then and now currently have a 20VT corrado bought from sam16V on here which is running approx 230bhp. However i was getting the G60 itch again and this time wanted to go for a big power rebuild. However I saw this one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230445944533&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Put a deposit down and going to pick it up next sunday. I know i am doing the right thing in my head but just wanted to know other people thoughts etc. Comments welcomed... Joe

If your car fails an MOT the date on your MOT certificate is still valid.

I can see it being a good idea, but can see it running into serious problems with H&S etc. i mean most people are able to change an oil and filter easily enough but then you may get some people trying to fit brakes or something which in turn could be a danger if not done properly. Dont forget that is why people train so they know how to do these jobs correctly and safely and that is why garages charge the money they do. Scenario to think about is someone changing their brakes or something related to the braking system which they dont do correctly as they arent qualified to do so, go down the road and hit a car resulting in a death of someone innocent. I know how truly aggrieved i would feel if this was my family member. This is why I think only someone fully qualified work on my car. Just my opinion on the topic though....

Anyone work for VW/Audi/VAG ?? warranty/guarantee question?
Joe_60 replied to rolex's topic in General Car Chat
You also need to be careful as the warranty is only valid if you have a full main dealership service history and also I have heard they wont cover it if you arent the original owner of the car. -
Hi there. looking to do a brake upgrade to my 20vt corrado. Currently running standard 16v brakes which cope surprisingly well but would like some nice brakes to sit under my Porsche boxster s alloys.Does anyone know of anywhere that sell good packages with everything that would need for the swap? Fitting is not a problem so just after product really. thanks Joe

I had a BBm charger on my G60 and it was the best decision I ever made. They are reliable and dont need rebuilding plus that noise is awesome! :D

When I had my BBM charged G60 I got pulled over for noise pollution but when i proved it was the supercharger making the noise he had to let me go :D

A stage 2 rebuild is a standard rebuild with no porting isnt it?

See if anyone has a spare glass. You can just replace that then. Saves trying to bend the door. Or if you have AA cover then ring them and let them sort it out.
