  1. I don't know the part number, I presume its going in the boot? If so its a 5 metre (ebay), Leon / Toledo have 6 disc changers in the glovebox (A3 dash), a lot less aggro feeding wires front to back of the car.

  3. Make sure you wear gloves when touching burnt wiring, nasty stuff burnt insulation
  4. There appears to be something wrapped around the amp power lead in the pic, that fuse in the amp power lead should be closer to the battery to prevent this happening.
  5. The V5 AQN engine is basically a 4mo engine less a cylinder, maybe a source of cheaper spares? I'm breaking the Toledo due to stretched chains, a friends Bora was towed home earlier this week with that silly alternator pulley in 2 halves............
  6. Does the corrado have a hard plastic cover? Mine came with a material wrap around thing, I upgraded the battery so it wont fit. I've listed it on ebay anyway, then had an after thought if it would fit a corrado.
  7. Has anyone fitted a MK4 battery cover to a corrado? Pics?
  8. VIC = Vehicle Identity Check, they check that the car has been repaired and its not a ringer. If the damage is more than 2 thirds of the cars value they apply cat C or D, it doesn't take much damage to write off a 10+ year old car. Buy on condition as you would any other purchase
  9. I can't do 29th (working) or 11th (commitments), 18th or the 25th are good for me

I don't know the part numbers, they're still on the car. Seat Toledo 2001 Y plate V5 170 BHP 2 wheel drive 256mm vented discs. If you need more info re the part numbers then the soonest I can take them off is tuesday.
  12. I've just bought a shot blaster, the carriers were going to be the first trial, I need to transport my compressor here first and build a cabinet, hopefully by the end of next week it'll be ready for action
  13. Thats fine, I'll keep them for you. I take it you're doing the MK4 rear caliper upgrade? Are you looking for 312mm fronts?
  14. Make me an offer including postage if needed - (I can't post until Tuesday anyway)

Near side Off side The near side looks to have been renewed, the off side maybe an original
  16. I should have a pair in a box somewhere, I bought with a load of other stuff, I'm in Nantwich Cheshire ---------- Post added at 03:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:03 PM ---------- The rubber bellows / dust covers are perished and need replacing
  17. http://www.peterbestinsurance.co.uk/ My online quote was much cheaper for the same cover than over the phone, paid around £250 on a classic policy for 3K miles

I've got 5 x 100 rears off a 170 bhp Toledo v5, 256mm vented, the calipers appear to have been replaced recently, I can post pics if needed.
  19. 46mm from the piston to the outer part of casting when the piston is fully wound back. HTH
  20. I suppose what really matters is the overall pad / disc / pad measurement. I've got a pair of calipers off a 1999 Golf V5 estate in the shed, if you want pics or measurements shout up.
  21. Black or silver would be my preference. A bright colour would look good if the wheel is full of brakes like your pic above, 17s would make the brakes look too small. Skud VRS have green calipers with 312mm brakes with 17s and look good, the 229mm rears would look poo on the same car IMO.

She previously tried patches, pills, gum, all failed. The first three weeks were hell, rowing, bickering etc She was a 10 a day smoker so the course has already paid for itself.
  23. Are you sorted now? I've only just seen your PM from the 8th
  24. Clamp the pin in a vice and tap the carrier lightly with a hammer and rotate with the carrier side to side a little at a time to get it moving. They're easy enough to straighten and emery cloth up until you get a replacement.
