get some to simulate it. spray with a hose while your inside... pull carpets up etc
-
try the grommets in the engine bay.. there is a few leading to the footwell, 1 for acelerator cable etc. mine were missing so had to get new 1s but never had a leak in fairness. but in theory would run down into footwell.
-
i wondered the same thing lol. i think im going for gun metal grey look. thought about satin black aswell. currently im shot blasting the wheels at work for my bro. would be nice to see a set in black tho. what colour calipers have you got or go for?

Whats the best MPG anyones had out of a Corrado?
casual replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
53 mile journey 95% spent cruising at 60mph. also calculated the fuel and it was pretty much spot on. sad i no but i didnt believe it myself -
you dont have a tool for the plugs or the leads...? are u sure its not running too rich with it miss firing and thats what ur smelling? how come you painted the exhaust may i ask? check obvious ignition based things as previously posted is best bet
-
id be checking all connections with the altenator as previsously posted.
-
could be fuel? i cant remember which the fuel pump relay is. but thinking along the lines that it does take a second for the fuel to be pressured, then you say its fine straight after as its stil got pressure, runs fine, but if left the pressure will drop.

have you got any aftermarket gadgets fitted?
-
just from what your sayin id still think it was ignition based problem, hope you get it sorted soon

i think i need to up my price ...damnnnn  -
  i think uv diagnoise ur own problem  oil gets onto spark plugs or ht leads will cause it to misfire deffinatly. hope u get it all sorted, let us no casual
-
im just going to throw something out there, and if you dont like it, u can go on and throw it right back! might possibly be misfiring under load, one possible way of lookin for the drive shaft is if you have axle stands, wack it up. and run the car, however if it stops when you put clutch down, im assuming your still travelling at speed when you do this and so it shouldnt be a drive shaft as that would be constant and get worse the faster you go. id check leads and ignition coil pack etc. has it suddenly just started?

BASTARD-O !!!

quality car.......very jealous!!!
-
have u checked its not leaking into the spark plug holes and causing misfire from their. if its gettin on disi then could cause misfire, but not from just running down the back

hi guys has anone got the figures for the front n rear tracking for a vr6? so far iv set it up as front 1mm out rear 2mm in. casual

Hi all. just wondered what oil people are using in their C's, engine and gearbox and how they find them, any trouble with any brands? also the grade of the oil. i was advised mobil 1..... also anyone know if an RSI gearbox will fit onto the corrado? think there off new bettles ??? cheers casual

im sure that looks like the standard locking wheel nut, iv got one on each of mine....they dont do anything. cuz there nackered, i just use 17mm.
-
should be 17mm as far as im aware. only thing is to go back to halfords n get the correct sized socket. maybe some one has fitted different sized heads. or retapped them to bigger size... you got modded wheels or standard? strange! might need rubber mallet to knock them off if been on for a while. dont think can be any more help with that one sorry mate
-
when i first started i paided 750 for a 998cc mini city, bog standard..... i thought that was good lol. my mate had a 1.2 punto n they charged him 2500... but he was a very naughty boy n drove without licence lol :nono: so 6 points n no no claims means he was payin more than the car was worth. 450-500 would be good deal. big companies seem to try n rip younger drivers off.
-
sorry m8 cant find it on the ol' trusty auto data .....FT???
-
i found that fully comp was actually cheaper for me....weird. my advice would be just keep bartering with them. go back n forth, find 2 companies that will price match  i did it to adrian flux n brentacre i got it down over 200 quid  on my vr6 i had a cooper s before n i couldnt have protected no claims as "apparently " i was too young for it, compared with the type of car.... i was 22!!!! fully comp also helps out if ur windscreen gets chipped or cracks. only 60-70 quid. little things like that help

hi, i would be interested in one of these. would stop me :bad-words: -
Casual, sorry to Pee on your bonfire... If I were you, take em back, get a refund then go to your local happy VAG dealer and buy Genuine... unless you want to do rears again in a couple years time... GSF & ECP ones are (generally) made of toffee why they are cheap! Have a look on suspension thread, GSF/ECP topmounts are known to only last a year, if that, have heard of them failing in 3000 miles! Pay cheap, fix twice... u have put my bonfire out  yeah i understand what ur sayin, i cant say i drive the car hard, 100 mile a day motorway cruising. well because i brought the car from a specalists they put 3 months warrenty on the car so, im down there wknd getting them sorted. im sure they'll only use the cheapest anyway. saves me a job for now tho. i want to do all the brakes anyway. is that the only way to change them? discounneted the lines from the Pressure valve at the back n drop the axle down complete? still think id try the cheap 1s first tho, as i say, i can then make up my own mind. cheers tho casual
