  1. had my corrado vr6 for 1 month now, however havent driven it due to insurance.....until this saturday :D i too was lookin into these poly bushes, i had them on my old mini i used to have, but that was a mini, n to be honest the rubber 1s wore out about once a year. i inspected my vr n the rear passenger axle bush is in need of replacement, has a knocking when going over fairly bumpy roads but also can see it quite clearly shot! i brought some bushes from GSF yesterday, rubber 1s, as if the ones in there now have only failed after 15 years il give the rubber 1s another go for a while. fairly cheap as well. the poly 1s will affect the handleing i would imagine, however the are easier to fit, i personally want to sample the corrado in standard form first, however i have a problem with the passenger side 1 as it looks to be the hardest 1 to fit as all my brake pipes are corroded and they run along that side, and the bias valve as well. oh well its all fun but id stick with rubber, that way you can compare the difference and have your own opinion on the powerflex or poly bushes if or when u decided to fit them casual

i know snap on (rip off) and mac tools do a tool with about 4 different types in 1 and also sell a box of about 10 different pin tools. obviously they come out from the back, sometimes iv used a paper clip or a very very thin screwdriver to push the pin down that locates it. tricky tho. i normally end up braking something tho :bad-words: sorry cant be any more help on this casual
  3. they are mint to look at but unfortunatly not reliable as in theres always seems to be a little light on the dash. engines are pretty sound, you can pick a cheap 1 up, and they go like shit off a shovel, dont bother with a manual gearbox aint brilliant and nor is tryin to find 3rd ....4th....5th lol auto's are good tho, shame they didnt do the paddle shift in them. not very fogiving tho, especially in the wet. most are abit rattley by now tho. its the little problems that are so annoying with thses, electrics mainly. servicing and spares are expensive tho. its the downfall of the car. wouldnt buy early 1, late yes!! boomerang lights are quality, wish they continued them onto the 4200, bloody americans!!! diffinatly a fun car tho!! casual

not unless you know them very well  i think im right in thinking that if it was a sensor fault it would not show up as it takes 1 revolution of the wheel before they sense anything. i think mine is possibly a wiring fault but we shalll see. the corner i looked at wknd was heavily corroded and plug contacts so wont hurt just tryin a clean up first tryin to get hold of vag-com to see if i can get any further info.

ahhh cheers for that, well i got it sorted in the end..well in process of being sorted. i phoned specialist i got it from and i was waiting on a bloke to ring me who checked the car over....well i got bored of waiting so i went round all the main sensors checking the resistance and voltage. got the values off autodata, all fine apart crank sesnor gave me an intermittent reading, made sure all plugs n contacts clean. tried to start it n it fired up..... seems the crank sensor was dodgey, wiggled it about n the engine cut out. random that it was fine driving it into my garage 1 day then few days later its a no go-er. especially as id just had spare key copied..... ah well lesson learnt. cheers for the help tho. spent whole wknd polishing n undersealing :D casual
  7. yeah i did pick up on the ol' timing belt but as i was doing a dodgey print screen as it doesnt let you copy and paste from autodata. most of the things on autodata are pretty general tho. still pretty good stuff used it many a time. you can buy it, not sure how much it is, you can get book or software. i got mine through a legitimet source of course. but if you guys need anything off it just give me a shout casual
  8. hope this helps just looks like a standard service with check overs nothin too major. may take time to do all of it tho. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf60k 1.jpg[/attachment:v60ru3fb]

found in the engine bay one of the two fuses has blown the 5amp by the coolant tank. cant find in the hand book anywhere that this leads to, if anyone can point me in the right direction for this it would be a gret help. i have replaced the fuse however now it still does not fire up but i get a short circuit type sound (crackling) while ignition is on??? the wires from these fuses seem to join up and go to the fan motor so i was prosuming it was the fan run on fuse, one of them, however it seems to loose a couple of wires along the way which i can not see anywhere.......... need to get myself a diagram for a vr6 or mayb one of those cd's off ebay, are they any good ? what a lovely saturday  i thought id given ll this up, when i sold my old mini. cheers in advance casual

hi guys if any one can help with this i would appreciate it. story is. vr6, only 1 key, got a new key made up with transponder etc. tried new key wouldnt start, turns over but does not fire. tried old key exactly the same. i had not started the car for a few days before doing this, and only other thing i have done is give the engine abit of a clean ( which sounds dodgey) but to my knowledge i hadnt took any connectors off, spayed brake cleaner to wash any oil off bell housing. wondering if a new key could of possibly done anything but i wouldnt of thought so. i have had it jacked up to 1 side, is there a fuel cut off switch, incase of accident that might of been switched by this? cheers casual
  14. ah ha thought as much, nice one. cheers again paddy casual

  17. just a quickie, these holes look like they go through into the bell housing? should they be covered? or are they used for something else? just spotted them, looks dodgey to me. wasnt sure if they were acess holes for timing or inspection holes that just have no been plugged back up? cheers casual

can anyone tell me if im right in thinking the ABS light should light up with the ignition? im pretty sure it does (well mine doesn't) any mojor faults with these? i think im going to pull out the abs box/button in the dash and make sure no monkey has pulled out the light or something. cheers casual
  21. ahh cheers paddy, any help would be much appreciated. :notworthy: cheers carl
  22. not sure what either of the 2 black boxes are in the picture....
  23. hey, Does any one have any clues on where they install clifford alarm boxes? im guessing its under the dash somewhere. just brought a vr6  however no paper work for the clifford alarm, im guessing its a concept 300 but iv only got 1 key fob so i need to get another 1 attached and i dont know the code. so i need to find out what type it is. i traced the wires through the bulk head from the siren, 1 wires disappears up the back of the dash and doesnt come out the other side ???? other comes down to sensors and into a small black box under the heater unit in the dash. being new to the corrados im not sure if this is standard equipment of for the alarm. havn't got my self a manual either as yet. il try posting a picture to explain abit more clearly. any help appreciated cheers casual
