  1. I know what your saying only thing that puts me off is the weight and Im just not sure about the curved spoke. Know of any pics with Corrado's wearing some already???? Matt
  2. If anyones got any other suggestions or has wheels for sale I am all ears. I would really like some Oz Turbos's but not only are they rare as hens teeth, not sure if they came in the size I want??? Matt
  3. Again these very nice but only trouble is finding some in right size!
  4. Now I really really like these but they are expensive! So dont want to get bored of them
  5. Must say do fancy some speedlines same as std but bigger 8)
  6. I need new tyres so perfect time to get some new rims I think  Trouble is cant decide wether to go for std look or go a bit more bling, opinions please :) What worries me is that I will get bored of the bling look after a while. Oh also decided that 16's are the way to go (95% sure anyway) and no stupid widths so 9" are out :-P Matt :confused4: Standard look first these are 17" MO's on ebay at the mo if anyone is interested.
  7. Hey sounds nice always wondered about that motor 8) Pics would be greatly appreciated m8 thankyou :notworthy: Matt :-)
  8. You dont have some pics of yours do you Mike? Would be good to actually see what I'm missing. Are you happy with the performance? What engine spec are you running. I have a good mind to cut my losses and just buy a supercharger. Matt :-)
  9. Cheers all, you have all been really helpful, feeling slightly better about it all now. Will call Vince on Tuesday and see what he has to say. :thumb right: Matt
  10. Cheers Supercharged so as long as I go for a remap then its not a complete and total loss. Think I may go for my own map though rather than use someone elses, I was thinking of cams, 6 branch, hi flow cat as well. So what does the opening of the flap actually do then above 3500-4000 rpm? Does it just help to flow an extra few horses at the top end  Matt :compress:
  11. Ahh no, no good came off my EGG card, going to give them a ring today but I cant see me getting much joy from them either. Cheers Matt
  12. Hi G60Jet Whats a DD indemnity claim? I have already filed a report with Paypal and they dont want to know. Matt
  13. I bought it off a guy in Germany who was using ebay to strip his car of parts (ie advertise) So not bought on ebay. He had good feedback, his car was mag featured and he answered all my questions including wether or not the VSR came complete with all the parts to fit  However that was obviously not the case. Have already had a word with antera309 who was very helpful :) So I reckon I could get most of the parts made at a large cost though (and I did pay a LOT in the 1st instance) However I cant see me being able to get the electronics made up to operated the flap at any sort of reasonabl cost at all :( So would there be any way round the pinking at 3500-4000 with a remap do you think? I know this guy had it fitted to his car I saw the pictures! Cant believe he put it on for 1 photo shoot???? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1 Matt
  14. I have just bought a VW VSR however when it arrived it did not have any of the parts to make it work, solenoid, vacuum tank, electrics etc. The flap mechanism is also missing and the hole where it should go is sealed shut. I'm not having much response from the seller and paypal dont want to know! Sooooo what would happen if I fitted it to my motor as it is???? Would there be any gain, would it act like a normal manifold but look pretty! Or would it in some way damage my engine having the flap closed on it 100% of the time??? Cheers Matt
  15. Koni Dampers and Eibach Springs. Soon to be H&R's as the Peak District roads are getting worse and I must be getting old :(
  16. Nice Polk amp for sale in the classifieds

    S3 or R32?

Nice choice although the EVO would have been better

    S3 or R32?

Evo and Autocar the only two magazines worth buying. Evo has R32 as its favourite hot hatch/luxury sports hatch and there bias is definately towards driving 1st. Autocar has it second behind Focus RS but as you probably all know if you live anywhere above birmingham the LSD makes it rather interesting on bumpy roads. The Audi is DEFINATELY not set up to be drivers car and has completely different chassis to R32 as far as I am aware.

    S3 or R32?

Not as driver orientated as the R32 :D

    S3 or R32?

What have you decided to go for then pookvr6?

    S3 or R32?

Owned Audi S3 a 225bhp one and it was dull as you like for driving but awesomely put together don't forget to tick the Bose stereo option :) Drove my mates R32 and the dynamics are brilliant although the boominess (is that a proper word) of the exhaust at about 4000rpm gave me a stonkin headache on long journeys (and I normally drive a VR6 with exhaust and induction), oh and its not screwed together as well as the Audi lots of annoying rattles after just 1000miles!:( How about turning to the darkside and buying one of the below, only problem is makes the C seem a tad slow :D
  22. 1 month later still waiting for a reply I guess nothings changed there then

    Tyres Again

I used to swear by Pirelli P6000 great all round performance tyre, don't know if they are available still though and if they have changed at all.

    Tyres Again

Yep michelin pilot sports (the new ones) are probably the best tyre you can buy however they won't last you a significantly longer time and you could buy two of the Toyo's I quoted above for the price of the michelin so the Toyo's would last longer :D Plus if you get a puncture £130 is a lot to replace a tyre!

    Tyres Again

From a value for money point of view i would buy some Toyo T1's from here http://www.mytyres.co.uk/start.html for £64 each inc postage and VAT for 17's! I do use A539's though and they are a great tyre although not as good as the A520's they replaced but they do last longer and are 'better' in the wet.
