  1. Liking the sound of that Joe will seriously consider it, in fact I will go and have a look now at availability and prices :)
  2. How much would that little lot set me back?
  3. I am sure I probably will/would get used to the power and that the Corrado chassis can cope admirably with the power a supercharger gives although I do like the balance of the std set-up on the tight b-roads where I live. The only thing really stopping me going for big power in the C though is that i get to drive a Mitsi EVO VI Tommi Mak at the weekends so fortunately my big power craving is met.(and there are more mods to come on that as well! :D )
  4. Nice one guys cheers, thats all useful stuff. To be honest I thought about a super charger but I don't really want that much power. I'm sure 220bhp and 215ish ftlb torque will be spot on for VR chassis. Just can't afford manifold yet and thought if the heads got too come off anyway! Compressions not to bad so may wait save my pennies and get it all done in one go later in the year. Thanks again Matt :)
  5. Cheers, only really considering it as i am thinking of getting head skimmed as compression is down on one cylinder and a lot of cost is in the labour of taking off and refitting head. Whats a VGI, manifold?
  6. Nice one mate that sounds promising, I had better bite the bullet then :-P Living in the Peak District I'm used to the ride being a LOT harsh so should be ok.
  7. Anyone had done or know what sort of performance gains you could expect for fitting fast road cams and gas flowing the head on a VR6? :) Cheers
  8. Nice one guys that cheers me up no end :D Does running 17's ruin the handling much?
  9. Anyone running 17 inch alloys with Koni/Eibach suspension? Does it rub at all and does it ruin the ride/handling? Also am i right in thinking Golf Mk3 gti fit wheels are the right fit and offset to bolt straight on to VR6 hubs? Thanks and a Happy New Year to everyone :)
  10. Yep I have one lot of money awesome sound and looks, small power gain but feels like small loss of torque as well. Worth it just for the sound though :D
  11. Scorpion system always fitted fine on my VR no noteable power gain but sounds spot on.
  12. My sister drives mine when she wants to, not very often mind because it means i get to drive her Mitsubishi Evo 6 Tommi Makinen
  13. 59k on the clock probably done 20,000 in last three years I'm pretty lucky as have got access to loads of other cars :D
  14. Your completely missing the point about starting a thread like this and I look fwd to hearing Corozins reply to my concerns when he replys to my e-mail I sent him.
  15. Make sure you buy a good one in the 1st place and keep on top of the maintenance and i don't think its to bad. It has probably cost me an average of £800 a year to maintain including servicing.
  16. I am pretty sure Momo do a similar wheel a LOT cheaper :D
  17. Looking good James I didn't know Scorpion did a different tail pipe design
  18. It was sold like that with the badge as Storm spec it has pearl paint, silver leather Recaros, ABT coilovers and some Storm carbon look ABT bits inside. As for suspension unfortunately previous owner sold ABT coilovers so I am now running Koni/Eibach although I find the springs a bit hard for the Peak District so may change to H&R. Still loads better than standard set-up though.
  19. I guess that doesn't help at all then
  20. Mine probably has about a 10 degree rise on it :? If that helps at all :D
  21. That was why i joined Club VR6 as I thought this might suit my needs more. But unfortunately like CCGB joined at Stealth rolling rd day had a great day and then didn't here anything from them for the 12 months of my membership :(
