  1. That's a quick Bora! Civic sounds good in the 'zone' 8) Honda horns sound hilarious though- 'meep meep' look out for the Roadrunner  I never used to beep the horn in my VTI's- so darn embarassing!
  2. Some chav once asked me if my old VR was a Porka.
  3. Have you seen this one? Clicky 32K on the clock! Recaros too... 8) The VR above looks good value too. If only, if only :(
  4. Behind bordeux pearl 16v K***YBO this morning just after 8, going off from A38 towards Thornbury.
  5. That German derv one looks cracking! Lovely colour. LHD though... Jim, why don't you get hold of a tidy valver and drop a chipped 130 or 150 diesel lump into it? Early valvers are cheap as chips at the mo'. Would be a nice little project. I'm sure Steve would help ya out. Best of both worlds!
  6. Have a look at this. Not exactly the spec you're after, but a bargain IMHO. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36567
  7. I'd agree with Stephanie- around £5k. Although C prices have been at an all time low, they seem to be picking up again, and cars with that sort of spec are few and far between- real collector's items. The value of these cars is just going to carry on increasing as they get harder to find. Worth every penny IMHO.
  8. There seem to be lots of different figures quoted for the 2.0 16v. I've had 2 and the 0-60mph is certainly not 10+ secs! Reckon it's prob a smidge over 8 seconds. Not especially quick, but not slow either.
  9. Silver H-reg going onto the M5 @ J14 Wotton/Dursley this afternoon after 4pm.
  10. Halfords do something very similar for around £70.
  11. LOL! = you cheeky bastard! EDIT - I still can't believe you were selling a car with a broken dipstick! hehe Replacing the radiator and PAS pipework on it totally cleaned me out- no way I could have afforded a dipstick handle on top of all that!  PS- how come 'bastard' gets through the swear filter, you cheaky shit?
  12. but did you get the right price though  Yeh. Was a good deal for both of us. Was (and still is!) a nice mota. Put out very healthy power figures at the recent Stealth day 8)
  13. Love the spoiler! Maybe I'm just a big kid, but the spoiler is 8) One of the many facets of the C's character. Never used to get bored looking in the rearview mirror to watch it doing it's work. When I sold my last C, and had to use my wife's Civic Coupe, I used to find myself looking in the mirror for some spoiler action, without even realising, only to realise a second later that I wasn't in a C any more :(
  14. ardandy, know how you feel! It's sooo annoying when you change all your plans so you can be in for them to view the car... and they don't turn up. gaz the geezer, had this when I sold my first VTI. My road was invaded by Japanese students- most of them turned up in their souped up ricemobiles- there were at least 3 Civics, a Prelude and a 200SX  . They stayed for ages and all wanted to drive it, but I wouldn't let them. The guy came back and bought it next day though. They were pretty intimidating! Worst one was selling my last VR to Gazman. He brought along a right pair of knuckleheads to check the car out...
  15. You could get a good VR6 for that kind of money, or a very good G60. Just go and test drive as many as you can, because even though a chipped G60 will be putting out similar power to a standard VR6, the driving experience is very different.
  16. Nice review :) Agree about the prices- those are low even in today's poor market.
  17. Great little cars, but they are really little! Bit pricey too, for what they are. I'd defo go down the Ibiza/Leon/Octavia vRS  route if you want to stay VAG.
  18. Have you driven an S14A? So much car for the money- think they were around £25K new. You can get 2001 low milers for well under £6K... Think you're right to have a look at the 150 TDi's- quality. Won't an old M3 have similar probs to a C? They're awsome, buta any older car (unless v. low mileage) is bound to have picked up trim rattles etc over the years.
  19. Best sounding exhaust I've had on any of my cars was a Powerflow custom exaust on my second 2.0 16v. It was bought by the previous owner. From memory it was fitted by Top Gear Performance in St Albans. Had a really nice bassy rumble and popped a little on idle. Wasn't too loud and boomy at all, but sounded nice and sporty when booting it. It looked very OE, pretty much identical to Phil K's. Had a Magnex cat back on my first valver. Looked and sounded good, although I would have preferred it slightly louder.
  20. If I had £10K ish, I'd prob get a Scoob or an Integra (although like you, I'd prefer the DC5). Loads of other good options though. You could get a mint, late low mileage S14A 200SX for around £6K. Rear wheel madness with huge tuning potential. Look really mean too. Or you could go VAG. Golf PD150 GTDI, Octavia vRS, Leon Cupra, Ibiza Cupra etc etc. Think all the above would be much better than the Clio day to day. More refined, nicer place to be on longer journeys, more reliable (in theory!), much better build etc etc.
  21. Used to have proper VW protectors on my first VR6. Think a company called EGR used to make 'em (was going to order some about 3 years ago), and may still do. You can prob order through your local motor factor.
  22. Amazing car! 8) Like a few of the others, not too sure about the front bumper, but the rest of it is a work of art :notworthy: . Out of interest, where does your front number plate go?! That engine looks the mutts! What power is it putting out?
