Thanks Nik  Gotta say, it looks absolutely stunning now- you've put sooo much work into it, and it's really paid off 8) Now all you need is some leather, like this
-
Keep us posted :) Just noticed you're from Cheltenham- just up the road! :D What model have you got? Any pics? I go to Cheltenham occasionally, so I'll keep an eye out for you.
-
Is your mirror switch in good working order? Had a similar prob on one of my old valvers, and eventually found that it was a faulty mirror switch causing it.
-
Wish I hadn't have put that pic up now!
-
joebloggsVR69, just seen this- gutted for you, but glad it's sorted now. Pics?
-
Difficult choice. Like 'em both. Just done the ones on my valver black on the top half. Toss a coin
-
All should lock when you press the driver's one down. Make sure that the cable from the driver's door handle is plugged in. You need the door card off.
-
Stop showing off, Nikki

I've never been asked for anything when I've had factory fit alarms before. They seem to want all the info if it's aftermarket though. You should be fine unless they're really picky :)
-
Oi! The comedy suspension does look particularly high in that pic- photochop anyone? Just used some smoke tint from Halfords (approx 7-8 thin coats) and 2-3 coats of laquer.
-
Preferred the German plates too... but your car is stunning!
-
Nice one scarlett. Always a bit of a worry getting a car MOT'd just before a potential sale. Go Jim, go! :)
-
Later interior every day of the week- early looks very dated now imho (even if the heater controls are more reliable). Prefer the later exterior too, although like BC says, the only bit that would really bother me on an early car is the grille. Happy Birthday by the way, bcstudent! Have a good 'un.
-
Here ya go :) Not sure if this is exactly what you're after, but this is my old VR with 'home tinted' tails.
-
Wish mine was that quick! Maybe after next week... Has it had a remap? Vince was trying to persuade me to have one at the same time as doing the cam. Would have done it, but haven't quite got the funds at the mo.
-
Getting mine done at Stealth next week. Vince reckoned around £60 + VAT.
-
Don't buy it, Jim- it's obviously had a right thrashing!
-
Can't you just undo two of the mounts and jack up the engine, using the secured mount as a pivot? Don't think you need axle stands :?
-
Wahey! Took your time! Scarlett's mota looks like a beaut, with all the essential mods (KR cam, suspension etc) already done. Good luck this weekend!
-
Andy665, any pics of it fitted?
-
Pretty sure the shocks are the same. Are Larkspeed prices + VAT? Just bought the kit from Awesome GTI- worked out at around £390 inc VAT & delivery.
-
Had one replaced on my last VR, which was leaking. It cost a lot!
-
Haven't had a 1.8 16v either :( . Have driven them all, does that count? Have had: G60 2.0 16v VR6 2.0 16v VR6 2.0 16v Loved 'em all, but my fav has to be my first VR, which now belongs to M15VW. So Walsey's winning at the mo Think Mike Edwards has had a few...
-
Really gutted for you :( But, as GradeA says, at least you're OK.
