  1. From the RAC site: Vehicle details Manufacturer VOLKSWAGEN Model CORRADO G60 Body type COUPE Colour GREEN Fuel type PETROL Date manufactured 30 December 1992 Number of previous owners 3 Last owner change 03 May 2003 Looks like a good 'un. If you go for it, get a proper HPI to get the mileage verified.
  2. Think this was posted on here a while back, but it's just been posted on Briskoda and I'd forgotten how hilarious it was    Enjoy! http://tanetane92.web.infoseek.co.jp/20050116tas2.html
  3. BristolVR6, is Ultimate Cars the one near the industrial estate, behind the petrol station/Nissan garage? If so, they did a couple of bits on my G60 and they were good.
  4. Does his HPI have mileage verification? If not, get it HPI'd again with RAC or someone who verifies the mileage via the DVLA. Most of the cheaper HPIs don't have the mileage verification. Worth spending a tenner more to get it.
  5. Walk away. He *could* be genuine, but like the others have said, it sounds a bit dodge. People like this often seem like a really good guy, and know their stuff, but are really just full of shit. They'll give you little anecdotes about the car etc that will sound convincing, and make them seem genuine, but be completely made up. I've learned this the hard way. As Andy665 said, if there's any doubt (no matter how small), walk away. Always good to take someone with you when you view a car. I'm sure there are some forum members in your area who'd take a look with you.
  6. Black VR6, think it was an N-plate in Dursley yesterday afternoon at around 4pm. There was an idiot in front of me in a souped up MK3 Golf VR6 who started revving madly when he saw me pull up behind  . Nice raspy exhaust, matey! Then he drove off like a lunatic when he saw the C. Moron!
  7. bristolbaron, I'm bound to spot you sooner or later! Keep an eye out for a black Octy vRS estate!
  8. 4 today! First one was going around the Asda roundabout at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. Think it was an M-reg VR, dark colour, possibly black. Next one (could be the same car) was driving through the Halfords car park at Cribbs. Only saw the roof, so no more details I'm afraid. Next one was driving away from Cribbs a bit later. Think it was dark blue and was a VR6 reg L329GYO. Later saw a dark C heading south on the M5. I was going the other way.
  9. Know they're not exactly power monsters, and they look a bit ordinary, but I've had 2 Civic VTI's. One was the old EG hatch with the mental 1.6. If I'm not mistaken, the most powerful N/A 1.6 factory engine ever built. Fantastic in VTEC. The 1.8 I had was also quick and brilliant in VTEC. Probably preferred the 1.8- more torquey. Nothing whatsoever went wrong on either. Lacked that bit of character though, and the electric steering with huge steering wheel was a bit crap! Would love an Impreza or a DC5 Integra. Like the late shape Motegi Prelude and S14A 200SX too. Here's my first VTI:
  10. You'll get better mpg from a G60 than from a VR, as long as the G60 hasn't been mega tuned. I used to regularly get 35+mpg on long journeys in my G60, whereas both my VRs would be very lucky to get over 32mpg on similar journeys.
  11. Here's a bit of info from the RAC: Vehicle details Manufacturer VOLKSWAGEN Model CORRADO VR6 Body type COUPE Colour GREY Fuel type PETROL Date manufactured 31 December 1993 Number of previous owners 7 Last owner change 20 October 2004 HTH!
  12. Me too! I'm resigned to not having another for a very long time though :( Guys, it's the perfect time to buy...
  13. must be the only 2 C's you haven't owned yet then?    Rodders, not quite! The 8v would be my next choice after the Storm and the Campain...
  14. Hmmm, Corrado Storm in Mystic blue with all the options or Corrado Campain.
  15. Canterbury yesterday mid-afternoon H-reg red valver on Pinhill heading towards Habitat roundabout. Woman driving. Bristol/Filton today at aound 4 something Green K-reg VR6. Looked lowered with some nice 5-spoke alloys. Driven by a blonde woman. Went past the big Woolies/Next outlet etc and on over the big roundabout towards Southmead? (Don't know Bristol very well yet!).
  16. That 'Lude is scary! That's one impressive gun battery! You can just imagine those exhausts moving round to home in on their target. Revolting car!
  17. Love the styling. Looks so aggressive, and a bit... odd!
  18. Agree with double-6s. I guarantee that you will regret it if you sell. I still totally regret selling my N-reg blackberry VR with leather... and that was 2 years ago. It was written off a couple of months later, then sold to a trader who ripped it apart.
  19. The trouble is, you will get hit for bills (some big) when you're not ready for it. I was never prepared for this, and was often going overdrawn etc just to keep it on the road. Then, when it is off the road, how do you get to work?Much better as a weekend toy IMHO. If I ever own another C (or any other 'older' sports car) I'm gonna make sure I set up a separate 'car account'. Maybe siphon off £40 odd quid a month for it. Then I'm not going to get caught out. It would also have to be a second car.
  20. I'd agree with Chris. £4.5k now, £6k summer. Looks like a beauty! Don't sell it!
  21. Grey (?) K-reg VR6 (?)- difficult to tell in the dark  Going into Tesco car park in Thornbury, South Glos at around 4pm today.

My first valver started doing this. Turned out to be a split ISV pipe. Have a good look at all the pipe work.
  23. Remember about 3 years ago getting my sister's car repaired at a bodyshop in Cirencester. Got talking to the guys there and they mentioned Tom's car. They did all the bodywork bits and they said that he was selling it. An absolute fortune has been spent on this car!
  24. Jim, has it made any difference?
