Yep, just swap in the new N75 and off you go. Not sure about the Superchip.

Each insurer seems to have different criteria. My premium increased when I changed my G60 for a 1.6 Civic VTI. The G60 is usually regarded as gp 17 and the VTI 15. In fact, the VTI cost more to insure than any of my C's, which includes 2 VRs and a heavily modded 2.0 16v.

Either, or a C G60!
-
owen01, check out the engine bay pic on the last page
-
At the mo' they're calling it a Scirocco...

I made the mistake of buying this from VW- had to buy the whole inlet hose that connects the MAF to throttle body as they don't sell the bits separately. It cost around £70 2 years ago. Wish I'd known about the Ford part!

Vue cinema, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol tonight at around 8.20 - K-reg C, looked like Bordeux pearl colour (difficult to tell in the dark). -
When I had my C's, usually got a positive response from other C drivers. Doesn't seem to be the same in the vRS though :(

Talk about value for money, look at this one! He's willing to take £6K! http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=182156 Looks like Scott's interested
-
Son of a Beesting, nice one! Sounds like a really nice car. Bring it to the Stealth RR day in April! :D

A lot of the 1.8T boys have been suffering these symtoms, and it usually seems to be the N75 or a split diaphram in the D.V. For £25 it's prob worth a shot. This is a pic of it on the 1.8T. Not sure exactly where it is on the TDI- sure Steve will pipe up soon! Looks like a diddle to swap- just unplug/unclip etc and fit the new one. 5 minute job.

Steve, was is throwing up a fault code for the N75?

Definately S14A 200sx. Sooo much car for the money. Rarer than the Golf. Better looking than the Golf. More Kudos than the Golf. Faster than the Golf. Better MPG than the Golf. Much cheaper and easier to tune than the Golf. If looked after, should be more reliable than the Golf. Who cares if it's a 'Nissan' This is the company that has made some classic Z cars (including the current 350Z 8) and the Skyline! That's a pretty good heritage if you ask me, with no stigma whatsoever. I suppose some people think Nissan's are crap because they're Japanese and make Micras too

Check that the acceleration is smooth and even, especially in second. The N75 valve and the recirc/dump valve can fail. This doesn't always result in the engine light coming on, so can be quite hard to detect. If these are faulty, the car may lurch/surge a bit during acceleration. You'll need to boot it a few times to be sure, as they don't always do it. Both are an easy and relatively cheap fix if faulty. It's worth changing the recirc anyway for a Forge one as the standard Bosche item is a bit crap...

This afternoon at 4.15, spotted a dark C (either 16v or G60) filling up at Shell in Wotton-under-Edge. J** JLP -
Looks O.K. More like a C than a 'Rocco though :? The nose looks very new passat- like.
-
In the current market, I think you'd be looking at around £1.5K. Looks in good nick, but am afraid white C's just don't shift very easily + it's a very early 2.0 16v too, with the mileage to match. Keep it!
-
Had the same thing a 3 years ago when I sold my G60. One guy phoned up and offered me £2k (I was asking around £3.5!). He said such an old car with over 100k miles certainly wasn't worth the kind of money I was asking! I politely said no to his offer and suggested that he didn't really have a clue about Corrados. Just stick with it Alex. The right buyer will come along sooner or later. Everyone's finding it slow at the mo'. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Which one is faster 1.8 16v Corrado or 2.0 16v Corrado ?

The extra torque and the gearing (as bcstudent says) make the 2 litre a nicer every day car. Performance wise the 1.8 just has the edge, but there's so little in it that you really wouldn't notice it on the road. I suspect the in-gear times of the 2.0 would be better. Also, the 2.0 seems to get better MPG. Buy a 2.0 and drop in the exhaust cam from a 1.8  -
Probably been done, but whats the worst bit of a C to clean?

Spotted a green C this afternoon. Think it was an L-reg heading towards Cirencester from Tetbury. -
