50/90mm front splitters - availability / stockists
CazzaVR replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Suppliers Forum
Same as Greeny- 50mm obsolete, 90mm should still be available for around £120 +. A good option is to find one secondhand. The 90mm often have cracks in the corners, but if the cracks are only a couple of cm, you can cut the splitter down to 70mm or so. They then look perfect! -
Been through this a couple of times  The winter months are a bit of a downer + if mine was in a lockup, away from home, it would have a hugely negative effect on my thinking. Also, as you say, lack of shows etc doesn't help. Work out what you could get if you sold both cars. See what's out there- is there anything as good for the money? Will it scratch the itch and continue to do so for years? TBH, I can't think of much (unless you spend loads!) that would do the job. At the end of the day, the Corrado IS special.

Hi Shaun, not going to post I'm afraid. Would need to go on a pallet and would be worried about them getting to you OK. Sorry mate :( Braders- they're yours if you want them. They'll be coming out of the car at the weekend if that's OK? Can you pm me your number and I'll let you know when they're out :)
-
Yep, still got it- it's still on the car, but easy enough to remove. Give me a shout if you want to come to the car- will hopefully be working on it at the weekend sometime.

He he! Nice low mileage 8) Is it a daily?

Baz, got same switches as Stu. Looking for a tenner also.

You can also file off the ridge on the new plug.

Thanks Jim, beat me to it! 8)
-
Possibly. Give it a go- bit of trial and error and you'll get there!
-
The one I mean is small and almost triangular. It bolts to the floor of the car and to the back of the cubby hole IIRC. I re-used the early insert though, so not much help there I'm afraid. Could you carefully drill the rivets? Or cut/bend the current brackets with a dremel so it will fit?

Exchanged waves with a dark blue Rado last week (Thurs/Fri- it's all a blur!) at tea time. You were driving over the M5 at J14 towards the A38, I was going the opposite direction.
-
Got two big boxes full- thanks Jim! Still waiting for 'mine' though :(
-
They are identical, apart from the metal brackets. You'll either have to find some late brackets, or fabricate/alter yours in some way. ---------- Post added at 8:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:07 PM ---------- I used a late dash in an early car before and the only one I had to mess with was the bottom bracket which sits directly under the centre console. Think I ended up using the original, but wedging something in to make it sit up a little. Sorry it's a little vague- it was a while ago!

Thanks for that mate! I'll check mine tomorrow. Stickied!
