Just a quick quetion. Are the little plastic plate type things ( sorry cant think of a better way to describe them) that go in the corners of the splitter needed. Mainly due to my new ride hight ( will be raising it a bit to get into my garage when I move out 8) )they have broken and keep hanging loose and scrapping on the floor, so was wondering if there will be any ill effects if I remove them? I havnt done anything yet but will get somthing drawn up tomorow once I've had a good look at where i want it and how i will fix it to the car

I have the bench rear seat so no hump or bit inbetween the head rests to put it in. It has got a bracket on it but Im looking to get something made which will attach to the brack then to the bottom of the seat so i dont have to drill any holes in the floor and easy to get to. Ok but i think It might consist of a flat bars bolted together. I will draw somthing up and see if you can help me out.

Is there any one on the forum who can make me a bracket for me to fix a fire extinguishers to the passengers foot well. If I was to draw something up for you ( measurements and all) would there be any one able to make it for me? Thanks

i found that the bottom wheels had eaten away at the cam cover and it was making some awful noises when i put them back on again, had to get a new one! i thought the noises where coming from a pulley wheel or tentioner but after greasing and fiddling i figured it had to be the chain, its hard to tell over the engine noise but it gets louder with increased rpm, kinda sounds like a super charger ( not that im proud of it 8) ) Must be a different whinning then as the noise I get you can only hear it at really low revs or at idle. and is deffo the belts, might try the talcum powder technique to see if that helps tomorow -

No not from the chains But I have got a whining coming from one of the belts cant seam to work out which one or how to stop it -
I've just had a KR inlet cam put in mine along with a few degrees of ignition timing and feuling adjustments and tbh it doesnt fill that different. But it does pull through the revs alot smoother and even more so at the top end. The only big thing I have noticed is it picks up alot quicker whilst in gear. Price wise I paid £211 for the above plus new chains and fitting a new inlet manifold. (at DG Autotech) And Dave Could I have a ride in your valver too please 8)

Well the KR and 9a exhuast cams are preaty much the same and I have a KR inlet cam in now so that shouldnt be a problem.

*sorry if this is a wrong place to post, mods feel ree to move if not* http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vw-16v-Gas-flowed-Cylinder-head-golf-mk2-mk3-Kr-ABF_W0QQitemZ250601046827QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3a58fc832b just wondering what you think of this and would it fit a 9a. Also would the head work fine if I swaped everything els over from my head into this one? (as it doent have anything but the valves)
