  1. thanks guys, i sanded the insides of the caliper down a bit getting some rust and high temp paint i put on out the way but will sand them down a bit.

i've got pads with wear indicators, is it possible to get the wear indicator connector cable from a US spec corrado or a golf with this feature? would be a nice thing to have i think

  2. I've start making the changes to my setup today before play got rained off but i'm having a problem with some elements of the setup, i've got the carrier, caliper and disc and pads on but theres no play in the setup at all. I've wound the caliper piston as far back as it will go; see pics they will explain it better.

    Discs are EBC standard 280mm

calipers are off a 95 vr6, carriers came from same car.

  3. Nice and shiny. So does that mean you car will have an even more erotic sound

Hehe - dunno about that but got it fitted this afternoon and took it for a good blast around the lanes. Slightly deeper tone maybe, not boomy at all and really pleased with it. :D

On the advice of CazzaVR took it to our local Longlife to be fitted - they did a really good job I think. Tightish fit over the rear axle but doesn't seem to be a problem - guess the KWs are stiff enough for it not to be an issue?P6291246.JPG[/attachment:1ed7txo9]

Hopefully the last one I ever have to fit :)

    lovelly lovelly shiny shiny exhaust!!!

  4. mine does this, my solution is stick your foot onto the drivers side of the bonnet, mount the door and pull the cable, then lift your foot and both sides pop up, you have to bagpipe it before it will open

alternatively get someone to hold down the driver side of the bonnet while you pull the cable then have them release pressure as both sides (should) have released

  5. hi supercharged

there was no play in the hose or the union nut, see pic so it's a little twisted, whats the best way to fix it up?

so to make it a bit clearer the nut on the end of the brake line doesn't move (is that normal?), the female of the hose doesn't move nor does the male on the caliper end.

  6. Thanks i've done the winding bit already thanks to davidworts guide!

Facing another problem here, this is probly real daft but! how do i fit goodridge hoses correctly if i fit the line to hose it goes fine but then when i try to fit it to the caliper the olive doesnt spin so twists the cable, is it a caliper off job and rotate the caliper to get it on??

  7. Hi guys

I'm attempting to fit my rear pads tonight do they just sit in the carriers and you attach the caliper (is there no connection keeping the pads connected to the piston etc??)

    much help appreciated

    cheers
