The book says 200PS, but having spoke to many Mk5 GTI owners and researched tuning options, they can produce around 260-280bhp. With uprated internals, injectors and a KO4 turbo you'll be over 300bhp.

Hi guys, I've had my '92 G60 in storage since September last year with the intention of giving her some much needed TLC. Recently I decided to put the engine, gearbox, ECU and loom up for sale as I fancied something a little different, I sold the engine a few weeks back to a chap who wanted it for a Mk1 Golf conversion. Below are pictures of the G60 engine removal. Exciting times, the engine turned up :clap: I considered all sorts of engines, R32, charged VR6, 1.8 T etc. But I happened to stumble across this little beauty on eBay. It's 2.0 TFSI lifted from a 2008 (58 plate) Golf GTI with only 10k on the clock :shock: Included in the sale I got; Gearbox Loom ECU Clocks Keys Turbo ... and all this VW goodness - £1100 Here's some pictures of the engine The pictures don't do the engine much justice, it's immaculate. Will be sorting out what I need to make this a smooth (as possible), conversion, which I have to say, I haven't seen many around.

Funny you say that as one of my mates suggested at Mk5 2.0TSI, it's a valid option. R36! That would be something special. Very hard to find i bet? I've managed to find a S4 engine, done 64k, still in car and can be heard running. He wants £1800. Sorry to keep asking questions, but what gearbox do you think would be best suited for that engine?

I've just sold my G60 engine and now on the hunt for a new, different, engine. I've come up with a few possibilities, i.e. S3 or R32, which are good replacements, but one engine that has caught my eye is a S4 2.7 V6 Bi-turbo. Now my question is, would that engine fit? Any feedback/comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi guys, I was after a little advice if possible. I'm considering selling my '92 G60 engine to fund a long awaited conversion. I am curious to know what the going rate is for one? For sale would be; Engine Charger Gearbox Loom Ancillaries Pretty much everything. Engine has done 160k with 50% main dealer history (i have contacted my local VW dealer and they searched their database and confirmed) and various other servicing. Not 100% on the charger, as the person i bought the car from lost the VW servicing schedule documentation stating it's service history (i do have 2 wallets full of history). I also have a dyno print out of 174bhp, so it's had some form of tuning/maintenance. That said, it drives and pulls superbly well. If you could suggest an estimated price that would be great. Fella's, i'm after a little advice if possible. I'm toying with the idea of fitting a Rallye intercooler on to my Corrado G60. I'm led to understand that it's a fairly straight forward upgrade. However, as some of you may know, to come by a Rallye intercooler is some what difficult thus making it very pricey. Are there other intercoolers you might be able to recycle off different cars, not necessarily VAG that might work? Any suggestions will be great, if you happen to have or know of someone selling a Rallye intercooler i'll be very interested. Many thanks.

Hi guys, I'm sure this has been talked about many times; My spoiler doesn't work when driving and if i try and use the manual override switch that doesn't either. Any ideas why? The car has had a aftermarket head unit fitted by previous owner and from a little research that can be the culprit? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys, As can be seen i'm fairly new on here so i apologise if this has already been discussed, but i'm looking at servicing/up rating my G60 and lots of people have told me either to go with G-weks or Jabba.
