LOL, edited! Yes it does drive but the fusebox is just hanging in the footwell at the moment - got all the switchgear wiring to fit, all the dash plastics, Votex console etc back in and should be ready this weekend..... -

16/05/05 Bit more progress, although it's been slow as I've been away a couple of weekends and Daz has been busy with his new addition to family........but here's the engine bay finally finished.... Polished Stroeve Motorsport alloy PAS and washer tanks, Forge Motorsport alloy expansion tank and polished Eibach Strut brace Chrome/Polished Bonrath Power Rohr, colour-coded airflow meter and Ramair Induction kit The finished engine bay..... -
Tuned G40 might be easier to fit - 160-170bhp would go well!

Saturday was a real washout due to weather/atmosphere etc but Sunay was much better! Still didn't have the buzz of the past but we had a great time as we went in a group of 15 so a good laff was had by all! Also, a couple of our crew won their sprint classes on both days ie. Corrado TT (4.6 to 60, 13.2 qtr and beat the swb Quattro) and mk1_charger's mk1 Golf G60 (4.5 and 12.9 and beat Roma Tunings 16vG60 Mk2!!)
-
Do you get a lot of oil vapour fumes come off the breather filter though? I've fitted the Bonrath rohr, but have noticed the fumes once the engine has warmed up - thinking of using a longer hose with the breather attached and maybe vent it somewhere lower in the engine bay?.... :?
-
Like it Jim, I'll keep an eye out for this one - although it's not as distinctive as the Rado.........yet!

Phatty - just have a break from it and recharge your batteries to come back to it fresh with your enthusiasm renewed. I haven't finished mine yet either, the small jobs are the niggly ones - and it won't be ready in time for Inters which I'm a bit gutted about but hey, sh1t happens....! I know of loads of peeps looking forward to seeing yours done, so keep up the good work! -
Spotted B4LJX's two Rado's sat on his drive......I was staying in Datchet this weekend.
-
I have a complete set of 16v Samco coolant hoses in red if you're interested. PM me, I will be sticking them in the classifieds for £50 + postage..
-
That'll be another ZW1 copy then.... True, but the ZW1's are only available in 17" and bigger. The S1's are more popular in the 'Euro' sizes ie. 8x15 and 9x16s etc
-
I think IHIG60 is after these ones....
-
Audi A3 - stick some S3 recaros in, 19" A8 rims, slam it - thats all really!
-
Looks sweet Al, they your old rims off the mk2 VR?...
-
Kev> that Supersprint looks like an art-piece (almost too nice to mount to engine!). I've seen some other/cheaper ones ie. Ashley, Raceland but not too sure on quality/gains etc from those. Any thoughts?..
-
Nice, do you a swap for the polished Porsche silver Rose forged rims in my lock-up - which are also yours!! ;-)
-
Thats what I was thinking too....
-
Cheers guys, green it is then!
-
Guys Which is the recommended PAS fluid for a '93 VR6 engine? I asked at G&S in Leics and they didn't seem to know - they had both red and green PAS fluids in stock tho? but i said I'd leave it til I was 100% certain. What are the differences?... Cheers
-
Just out of interest, how many of you guys are using the hand-held controllers compared to steering wheels?..... Tempted to get one see..

On the Vortex, someone was asking about the price of a Eurospec head and this was the reply from someon else who has one... "These days its about $2400...IIRC... I bought one back in 94-95 when they were in the $1000 range..." http://www.eurospecsport.com/euro8vhead.htm
