Stunning car, I love it! That's what would be defined as OEM+ spec I reckon.  -
Who blew up their corrado at panta sod?

That was my mate Jon from Stealth....it's a 380-400ish bhp 20vT lump in there, suspect head gasket failure tho. It cut out in 3rd gear and he still managed to finish with a 13.9 at 100ish mph pass (usually passes at 125+)...... -
To do: Fit the VR6 lump into my mk2 Golf!
-
Found this on the vortex...... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=785705

Awesome!

Thanks for your comments guys - I have passed them onto the guy who built it and he's well pleased that it has been so well received.  He just wanted to do the TT transplant into something a little different to the usual Mk2 Golfs....
-
LOL! as it happens he's looking for some 16" steels so he can fit the TT brakes, and iis planning on badging it as a TDi. Should be going to Stealth for a REVO remap soon too........

Here it is.............the car that has donated it's 2.8 VR6 running gear for my Mk2 Golf conversion now has a new heart.....225bhp Audi TT lump running on factory management. Currently using a Mk3 Golf TDi box, Merc sprinter i/c, and home-made downpipe/exhaust. Absolutely everything has been done by the owner himself. Here's some pics... 115mph at 4750rpm in 4th..... Bit of a street-sleeper - he's had a tussle with an Audi S4 and was literally glued to the Audi's rear bumper upto 120mph......  8)

Blue VR6 on TT competitions in the car park at Yarnfield Park where I'm on a training course!! 8)
-
What about Blue Flame Exhausts? or Tony Law?.....heard good things about these guys in the past....
-
Forge Motorsport and Allard also make the alloy tanks.
-
All Smiles Racing (Richard Tweedles's company) also make the alloy bottles. He's usually at most shows, pretty sure he was near the Rado stand at Edition38....
-
Early Cossie's were 'only' 204bhp iirc (not sure how much torque tho) so power/weight would be pretty even I reckon. Also, they're quite easy to catch 'off boost' as the turbo doesn't spool up til 3.5k revs iirc so I'm not really that surprised!!?........

Spotted B4LJ X plate on a Corrado parked on a drive in Datchet on Sat afternoon - I was staying at a friends over the weekend.
-
Nice green VR6 M plate on A45 in Coventry heading towards Birmingham. I came past gave a nod and then was behind it in traffic.......anyone on here?...
-
Gotta agree with John - I loved the Cossie's when I was growing up. Also, if you read a lot of the old motoring reviews the Sapphire 4x4 was one of the cars they said you must drive/own in your lifetime if you're a petrolhead!.......(just like they say about the Corrado VR6 actually!)
-
Think you've attached a sound clip of a lion roaring instead!!!
-
Well done mate - can't wait to hear this thing..........did Andy manage to sort the wiring side then?..... (I'm sort of tempted now to do the 24v into my mk2 rather than the VR - what with you and Phatty leading the 24v revolution!!................decisions, decisions....)
-
Looks real good - I'm not normally that keen on those bumpers on Rados but filled in it looks sweet!
-
Very nice, colour really suits. Be nice to see it next to a 'classic green' storm to see how different they are... Well done.
-
.....doubt it, you're never happy!
-
Look good Jim....and even better on the move as I saw your car on the A45 near the Jag showroom on Saturday afternoon.
-
 Now, that's what I call a spec-sheet!!! Keep up the good work!
-
That's f*cked up man - that's what really p1sses me off that you can't leavr your pride and joy parked anywhere without worrying that some scortes gonna try and take it/nick from it!!! GRRRR!!!!! Would de-locked handles help in this case or not - as it sound as thought they've tried to get down by the window rubber? What about some armour door plates and those 'anti-slim jim' plates that stop people sticking coat hangers into your door.....
