amp them mate...you won't regret it. If you like bass then thats the best option...if you have a bass box then you do know that the frequencies will be off slightly as the 6x9's and bass box share the same space. For a rough idea...a two channel 2x90watts alpine/kenwood amp costs around £30-90. I had a set of pioneer 250watt 6x9's in my polo before i bought a vibe bass box and they ran off of a £40 alpine FLEX2 amp...absolutley kicked!! Sanjay.

give it a try i guess...i was thinking the same too but the muffler i have seen is larger anyway, made by custom chrome. I'm sure with some cutting and welding you'll be fine. good luck. Sanjay.
-
i think it should be just like the picture above but the back end needs to come up a bit more like a alpha romeo...but i kinda hope they do one like the BMW Z4..now thats a mean looking car!
-
Furki G60: you never know this year...might get some real kevs about that scour the car park for caps/exhausts and all sorts!
-
just renewed mine...as roddy says...i took the swansea reminder slip asking if you want 6 or 12months and MOT cert with insurance cert...even though the post office i took it too didnt even look, i just handed them the piece of paper and the money and they processed it.

theres a small tab type thing behind the notch in the handbrake..but your better off pulling it towards the gear shift as hard as possible...it will eventually come off. the rest of it too...that slides off so don't pull it directly up. lets hope you take plenty of photos cos i wanna get some new carpet in mine and clean up my old one. good luck.

Fraser thats a great idea!! i'll cable tie it on the 2nd slatted struts to hold it more firmer....then velcro it on lights and i have already got 5screws on top in place which has worked so far. Really wished i didnt have the holes in my headlight surround but i guess it'll be covered. Cheers for the feedback guys. Sanjay.
-
sadly my light surrounds were already drilled from the last kamei item i had... The reiger grill i got from tuning.co.uk and they had some in stock took 2days to deliver and i paid £82 inc delivery and vat. ']['H3R4POR- i will be using velcro too..i know exactly what you mean so i'll do that too. BUT i need to know where the metal brackets are used and what i do with the rivets?? Has anyone actually used babelfish to translate the instructions yet? Thanks! Sanjay.
-
just to bring this thread back again... I've just bought the same 2 slat reiger grill and looking at the photo of the bits that come with it..i too have the same. I have used the larger self tappers on the slam panel going through each of the slats that poke through... The smaller ones i presume are for the headlights, but it seems to ping off on one side so i think SILKAFLEX that came with it will do the job better. What are the metal 'L' shaped brackets and 2x rivets for??? Did anyone trim the grill slightly so it sits further into the bonnet and doest stick out? Please go ahead and PM me your suggestions thanks! Sanjay.

Fancy a laugh? This was once a Vauxhall Corsa....

the corsa... http://www.alexvisani.com/monstergallery/predator.jpg Looks like the above to me! yep..a predator. :| -
be prepared though, if they are like 120watts then you may need to cut the basket to make the magnet fit... VW charge too much..i think the older speakers were low wattage..its wierd because theres no wires going to my rear left speaker at all and i've put mb qaurts in which cost me £50. so i had to run a new wire along...perhaps vw forgot? :|

AVOID intapart at all costs guys...called them up this morning to get a qoute on following before i went down again: rear shelf in black..they wanted £80 black carpet in a poor state..wanted £100. delocked passat handles and mechs..£25 PER SIDE! i'd hate to think how much they'd want for a panel!

And so to the bodyshop she goes.....updated 27/04/04

thats great ben..atleast you did the prep work to keep cost down. Are you re-spraying it aqua blue then? i'm sure it will be a right stealthy corrado...but i still hoped you'd atleast go for flared arches and huge wide wheels.. theres just too many guys now getting out loans and puttin 20vt engines in their mk2's...no offence to anyone on here, but someone needs to go a step further and do BOTH engine and exterior mods..ben, can't wait to see it in the flesh, its coming on nicely. Did you mangage to get that coil pack thing sorted..atleast i thought that was why it wouldn't start. :| The jap exhaust...looks nice..why has everyone just about with this engine gone for one..is it the tunable kind. How exactly did they weld shut the rear VW badge?? Sanjay. -

ben how much is the car worth altogether now?? i can't believe how fast they'll get that car done. How much is it costing you to have rear badge welded and sprayed over? :?: -
migs mate..unlucky. go for everything you can...and hopefully you can keep the car in the long run then! did you have your hazards on? :?

thought that'd get the attention..well i headed over to inta-part today and noticed they had a silver, blackberry and half of the back end of a red corrado...VR6,G60 and G60. all panels still intact nearly on all apart from red one of course. Just a few questions that need a quick answer: 1. will seat TOLEDO rear handles and mechs fit my corrado to delock it?? 2. how much should a tidy price be for a black carpet set and rear shelf in a dirty state? (from them) 3. did anyone want anything...i can see if they have anything available. They are also breaking 2x RX7s and a supra. Thanks!!! Sanjay.

well i'd say the majority is the younger lot..the saxo/punto drivers wishing they could drive it. a few older people look at it then see me driving and think...what the hell is that little kid doing with vw's ferrari. I was at the front of some traffic lights and i got everyone passing in front of me to turn past me look at it atleast the once. I have had about 2-3teens and even 5yr olds go past and say.."thats a CORRADO!" love it...absolutely love it. But my cars becoming more common here in northants...i think a few people have seen me driving about in it and have decided to go by one themselves! either that or they left theirs garaged over winter  A nice german plated black reiger kitted corrado comes out to play quite often as does two of premieres corrados...not forgetting a 16v blue one (gosh he does try)..and a mauve VR6 too, which is stunningly standard! off topic sorry..but i guess...40% teens and 20-30yr olds....40% girls...20% older over 30's.

does it drop on the same mounts as the 2ltr 16v or 1.8 16v would have?? so its basically everything inc driveshafts then...which would mean calipers and discs and hubs too..that means uprating rears as they'd nwo be 5 stud right? Isn't that now audi fitment 4x108...so different wheels. ECU- i've heard you can use the same stock one...takes a lot to play about with but can be done. Exhaust- need to have one made to fit i guess?? powerflow? What about engine subframe? doesn't the corrado one have the engine mount on it...again is it in the right place? What about a larger intercooler? piping/hoses...induction kit...

-

-
rob..what was the front of the car like??? shaved indicators and fogs? wheels? theres some real nice examples of black ones on here...not seen any with ..DUB apart from hennys. Sanjay.

sorry lady...didnt realise. I was at the paint place today as they were tryin to get a colour match for my car...basically from what i saw, they get a print out of how much of each paint code they need to put in...i.e. violet- 127.3gm. black-191.5gm etc.. so the lady in there showed me how they do it, and she got a paint code similar to mine and left some silver out in it and it came out a really nice mettalic blue not seen above. whatever the code you get or have..take it to a professional place and tell them if you want it darker...redder..orange whatever and they can get youa one off paint code! Check this site out too: http://autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search/search.pl search any paint code/any make of car etc...and all years nearly. many nice porsche colour codes that could be mingled with! :) Sanjay.

theres common rust on door edges and also in the inner arch lips...which are bent up that hold arch liner in place with screws....check especially drivers side bottom part...mine is very weak and may crumble away. and perhaps slam panel lower half..whatever part that is? :|

what about the GTO or 3000GTO twin turbo example? 8) wasn't the latter in conjuction with Dodge Viper to take on ferrari.
