  1. no worries mate...i think the good places that do it are further down south, i'll ave to speak to Gman i think as he was the last to find out who are the latest ppl who do the stuff.. question still stands...what colour is C5U?
  2. bluxie- how did you manage to make it soo nice after the first pic?? is that new alternator, new cam cover and new belts all round.. biggerbigben- that engine bay is bloody awesome...will it be done for inters? :|
  3. does it say NOKIA 6610 on the inlet manifold...or am i reading it all wrong. Lookin good Gman...lets see what figures it gives you at inters...cant wait. :)
  4. when i got mine...first thing i did was convert interior lighting to blue using LEDs and then came powerflow exhaust...then all ICE was collected within a few weeks and installed. Then came a set of red tinted rear lights... alloys, lowered suspension and de-badging / de-seaming and blue tinted rear lights were already on the car when i bought it. since all that i have spent £500 on getting brakes all seen to and 2x engine flushes and oil changes... next will be finishing touches such as leather and at the same time exterior work. i.e. taking care of respraying bonnet etc. I tend to do both exterior and interior whenever i can...exterior costs more to do so i usually concentrate on interior first. I class the ICE as interior as buying speakers/head unit can be cheaper than replacing discs/pads, shocks/springs and exhaust.
  5. i'm 21yrs...northampton p/c...TPFT on a 1991 1.8 16v with all mods declared for £850 through Chris Knott with no points (YET) and 2yrs no claims. How much is it for the golfs??? TPFT?? i mean a 1.8 8v GTI or a 1.3 Driver...need a runabaout. Sanjay.
  6. just had a look at the can of paint i used....it says C5U.....wot colour would 'C5U' be??? the L is missing. oh ohh :|
  7. AAHHAHAHAH found and read the post...kev..nice one mate i liked the ending. PhatVR6...that is one lovely machine...i can see where some of them are coming from though once they converted the £££'s into dollars $151'275 you should try to get a run down of what it has done to it...and labour costs...but why waste your time trying to defend against these mindless mortals. Let Ken know i'll PX my 16v rado with his...as he should know he wont get all the money back from the man hours :) Sanj.
  8. just getting handles/washers redone....both wings i hope and bonnet...then eventually bumper too I asked them if they could qoute me on plastic welding my no.plate recess but they don't do that either...so i'll ask around for rear badge welding. Shall i ask about anything else?? Don't really want flared arches or wing indicators removed....so no point in asking for that lot. Rear lights have just recently been done red and laquered properly...so its just a front end spray job and blended into the doors each side. Cheers for that bobby..i wont be getting it filled dont worry.
  9. I've got some MB Qaurt 6x4's got em for about £60...alpine 6.5" Type R components on custom builds for doors and they have a seperate tweeter. *not upgraded dash speakers...but will buy alpine tweeters for A-pillar mounting at ear height and some SR40 Vibe 4" coaxials to be powered off my 9815RB alpine unit. The components in doors are amped via a V12 4channel amp at 200watts each side... a 2004 rockford 12" sub in boot powered also by a V12 2channel amp at 800watts. take care fitting rear speaker as you may have to cut the underneath of the shelf supports which have a cage type plastic thing..as the GTO's and any other 6x4's mainly have a bigger magnet. all wiring runs on either side of the centre tunnel and also under door trim. i.e. RCA's for amps run on left side of tunnel....Speaker wire runs on right side of tunnel and Power wire runs on passenger side door. all bolted down on a false floor etc and door pods are just boards with holes cut out, padded and screwed securely using existing holes in doors left from previous door pockets.. these however dont have the pockets...but i didnt use them anyway. Check out: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4120 for photos of the stuff. 8) Sanj.

  11. leavon...£1000+ over this side of the ocean....about £800 over there perhaps?? ask sukh aka BlueSLC...he had his arches rolled over there. I like them skirts too...hmm let me do some research. :|
  12. my paint code according to the manual is definately LC5 U AKA Aqua Blue Pearl. I think my car must of sat out in the sun too long for the 12yrs of ownership...its had 3owners inc myself so don't really know what its down to. I'm saving up and booking it into a bodyshop 15mins walk from my house...so i can pop in and check on it. They'll do my bonnet, front wings and hopefully a new front bumper when i get that...then redo the debadging as it was previously filled. They do however say they'd re-fill it 'properly' and say that the filler they use, as long as its air tight is fine and won't sag...they won't weld the hole up...does anyone know in the EAST midlands where they could?? :x
  13. jammers baby....i'd go for it. they'd be good to have as backup on top of a gps system. If your doing 37 ina 30 zone and they catch you...then thats 3points...they aint gonna know if your doing 37...that doesn't look fast in a 30 anyway. so go for it. why have it on the dash?? can you not have it hidden in the bumper or glove box? If i had the money i'd rebuild it into something less conspicuous.
  14. ok mate....i've tried to get you one, but our european site doesn't have a downloads section on alpine uk...nor is it on japans or chinas version. Only at: http://www.alpine-usa.com/ I have it on pdf format...so as long as you have adobe acrobat reader...you should be fine. sadly, its only for the 9813 as the 9813R was a uk only one...just like my 9815RB. I'm on msn messenger if you cant find it on the site. I'll send it to you over that instead. 8) mailto:[email protected] Sanjay.
  15. cheers russ...i'll just ave the guy mix me up some proper paint and have it repsprayed on the car when the weather perks up... Your cars definately aqua blue....moonlight blue is a very dark navy colour. I'll be gettin some of that spray....how much was it out of interest? Sanjay.
  16. OH MY GOD...that car is great....THANKS! for the step by step pictures. I should think that front bumper took some time...i really like how your extending your front wings to make the E36 lights look more factory fit. I also like how the badges at rear of car have been welded and not just filled. I really like that purple... Are the wheels going to be like 19" wheels??? because that front bumper is soo deep and the car won't go low. What rear lights will you fit? and exhaust...will you use a twin style one. What about dash conversion... Please don't tell if you want to surprise us more... Keep up the good work. Sanjay. :D
  17. wots up with the spitfire mate?? are you gonna be restoring it? my dad wants one eventually to work on i think...its one of his fav cars. The corrado looks sweet too...and yeah i think i noticed you on CGTI. Welcome... p.s. the wheels on the golf 1.3 are sweet as mate. 8) Sanjay.
  18. ohhh....my alpine 9815RB unit is connected to the normal loom...but i guess theres no speed sensor wire on the alpine then for it to take full effect. I have the old blaupunkt....might just ave it in one day to show off that volume increases as you speed up.. I know my cousin had it as standard in his 95 prelude vtec.
  19. now where have i seen your name before... Welcome to the forum, any pics of your previous mk2's anywhere online??
  20. mine was a bit of a killer....needed new discs/pads at back and brake flexi foses and on front section needed new copper brake lines. Also my 17's were rubbing on inner arch so i borrowed some 16's off of jonny at stealth racing... My tinted lights were fine as they were tinted blue and shone the right light out. ohh and seized calipers a maybe...mine needed one replacing on passenger rear....total cost of MOT £400+. For a 16v 1991 J plate with FSH...hmm.
  21. is this blue/white speed sensor wire in the incoming loom for the OE stereo?? or do you specifically have to cut it from behind the dash once you find it?
  22. mines fitted just the same...i had to use big 4cm washers to help at the top...and i used a screwdriver with a big magnet near the handle to get teh screws out of the bonnet skin. Does your lifter have some play in the bottom bolt?? or is it all tight fitting....looks very nice.
  23. i was working for barclaycard in the fraud detection team as a fraud analyst for over a year but my contract ended and i now work for the spirit group in their call centre team for premier lodge for the next 6months until i go back to uni to finish my 2nd year of my HND in computing and busniness...then hopefully doing my top up to degree someplace else. Kevhaywire and jims16v....do you have any info on the cisco courses available and what the best courses to be on are? I'd like to get into networking and security too...but how? PM or add me to msn: mailto:[email protected] Sanj.
  24. $10k+ wow!! i saw that video you made too...top qaulity stuff there mate, you really do know how to make the VW's look good! some proper Grand Tourismo type playback sequences in there. I love the fact that your car is so clean and so black...it just really suits it well. What are you having done to the interior and how fast is it exactly after all that money has been spent on it? Do you think its been worth your while? Keep it up mate...i've put it on as my background screen now. 8)
  25. that block is like NEW!? jeez man...i wish i lived in the US...i'd be no.21 then. the fuel rail looks realyl good and the red ignition leads really compliment the grey inlet manifold. Lookin forward to more pics mate...this has to be one of the nicest black corrados i've seen.
