  1. yeah its all good mate...paid another £95 to have brake lines changed and engine flushed...car is runnin sweet as mate! just need my 17's back off my mate and i'm off to get the wing repaired next week i hope. need a grill maaann!!!
  2. thats ok... I saw a C5 close up today, the skirts fit very close to the bodywork, and the corrado sides are little more bigger. I take it, you'll just sand down the sides first? modding your origional bumper might be better than buying an RS bumper...they've been done, why not try to make a more elegant front piece... are you very good with bodywork then?? plastic welding that sort of thing? I wouldn't mind removing the fogs/indicators from my bumper and have them welded shut...would you know how to do it? How about handles...the mk2 golf guys can now have chinese mk3 replica handles...can you fit vento handles to a corrado? Thanks. Sanjay.
  3. i think they'll look very good, but i have a qeustion for you... the skirts flair out a bit on each side...what will you do to the front corrado bumper spoiler? or will you just keep the same ones. Where do you have to modifiy the skirts? :) Sanjay.
  4. AHHAHHAHAHHA...Ady. your right..it does look like that. Check it out: http://www.holdenclubotago.homestead.co ... modore.jpg
  5. raassss...check it out. Bally mate, looks damn good! Love them wheels. And Rob, looking nice as ever mate. Bally, you need them rear lights...they suit it! how did your MOT go? Mines re-booked for today, its now had full set of discs and pads changed, brake fluid change, new flexi brake hoses and brake lines changed and exhaust has been re-sealed. I had to borrow johns wheels (he has the TT corrado 400bhp) from stealth racing yesterday...got 16 miglias on it now. What you upto job wise now then? just pm me all the replys to these...cos i know we'll start a chat here in the gallery section. Keep it up, Sanj.
  6. get the panel filter from German French Swedish...part no: 33-2032 Its £43.52 for the 16v 1.8. hint: don't go crazy with the arbox cutting, i did...and the fuel goes FAST! you'll be getting about 15-17mpg! around town...throttle response isn't too good either, it just burbles. Best thing to do is make tiny holes on the wing side of the car, about 5mm in diameter, not too many...then cut larger ones for a bigger noise. Just remember theres no going back and they cost about £20+ second hand. Sanjay.
  7. nice one joe. I knew you wouldn't be driving without mats, it just looks odd...not sure why. The pics would come in muchos handy! cheers! 8)
  8. so equipment needed: ball joint breaker. ball joint and bolts. pipe flaring and bending kit, piping and fittings from VAG? If i want to change flexi hoses for stainless steel ones then which ones can be bought cheap enough and bolt straight on? Also a brake bleeding kit and brake fluid too (any ideas on which DOT version) Spanners, adjustable and blow torch etc i have already...pateints i dont ahahha. Its great that you guys are adding me to MSN, its really good to know theres ppl out there that can spare the time to help. Cheers! Sanjay.
  9. joe...i'd like to see more of that interior mate. Seems very nice!! i have an option to buy some grey leathers, but i keep seeing loadsa pics of black and cream leathers, hardly any grey apart from in a golf. some of the rear seats and door cards would be nice. 8) p.s. wheres ya mats? Sanj.
  10. ok sorry for the late reply. After reading all of your posts...I believe the pipes that need replacing are the ones Henny is going on about and the rest of you guys...its the mild steel ones that have corroded. I take it halfords would just have the relevant brake lines in a roll? or mcganns, motorcity or motorworld? Not sure what these lines are made of, but they do seem very stiff...would anyone have a picture of the joints and do they just come undone easy and i buy the ends from VAG? As for the flexi brake lines, i'll check out pitstop...but i saw some on http://www.rallydesign.com, theyre about £30 for the golf mk2 16v kit (6 flexi s/steel hoses). i'll check out the ball joint...all that the MOT paper said was "Excessive play in near side front bottom ball joint" When i replaced the wishbone, the joint looked new still and that was literally 3months+ ago..i'll check the bolts haven't come loose, but i may replace it as its only £6 from GSF. Its says "NEAR SIDE AND OFF SIDE FRONT PIPES CORRODED" "FROM LIMITER VALVE TO NEAR SIDE AND OFFSIDE REAR FLEXI HOSE BRAKE PIPES CORRODED" what do you guys think to that? Thanks. Sanjay.
  11. where do i get the brake lines from. My dad told me they are mild steel ones, whereas i was thinking they'd be the rubber hoses that come out of the caliper...The ball joint i can do, but is there a nut at the top of it...because i can't see it. I can see the two nuts and bolts that hold it onto the wishbone. I'm blaming the car anymore...its my fault i know, if i drove slower or had the work checked out i'd be ok. I just didn't think of budgeting on top of what i paid for the car, i just presumed the car would be pretty mint for that much...as my mums rocco has had 2 previous owners and her car hasn't cost anything to run! just 1 tyre, cambelt and rear brake shoes thats all in the whole 6yrs my mums had it. Does anyone have a diagram or a step by step on how to remove and refit new brake lines please?? If its too difficult to do on here, i'm on msn as mailto:'[email protected]' Anyone know where to get them cheap? Cheers scott! Sanjay.
  12. hi guys...and minimal girls. Slight problem and making me think twice about this certain corrado i bought! since owning the corrado from november when i turned 21 i've done the following: November- i paid £90 for a full engine flush and oil change. in december i had a slight crash into a curb due to no grip on front tyres...RESULT: 1 bent wishbone and bolts to match £50. january- I crashed again, this time in snow into a BMW, then 2 weeks later into a Vectra GSI which just bent his centre section as my bumper pushed his exhaust off its brackets and under his car! RESULT: pranged passenger wing. Replacement bought from BettySwollox (cheers!) £30 Spray job will be £50. Then centre section for Vectra: £110. February- Replaced all 4 tyres using a mate of a mate. 2 Avons and 2 falkens! £100. March- Went in to have following done: 1. all discs and pads replaced. 2. 2x handbrake cables replaced. 2 2x rear wheel bearings. 3. 1 seized caliper replaced. COST: £310. MOT this week FAILED! RESULT: all 6 brake lines need replacing due to corrosion. 1 ball joint on passenger side has excessive play (maybe due to crash into curb). COST: £150 That on top of buying the car for £2800...its just pure bad luck i swear. rant over... Basically i dont have £150 and MOT is booked in for next week. I'd like to replace all brake lines myself. and the ball joint i can do myself i hope too. Any suggestions or how to go about this work? Anyone have copies of the certain bentley manual i could use please? Thanks and sorry...once this work is done, the car should be mint! Sanj. :D
  13. fantastic photo work there, its too bad you no ricers are so far from me... I really like that Corrado you have in the februarys gallery (12pics from left) Love the rocco!!
  14. does that mean your airbox has all the fuel lines etc on top of it?? Mine did this one...theres a grey sensor typre thing under the air pipe that is about 3-4" inches wide, it goes into a small pipe there, if it comes undone...it creates an airleak and doesn't allow the engine to start. Thats on a 1.8 16v though...also mechanical fuel injection.
  15. a very good one should be able to do it for £200 easy...which would include blowing the paint into the door to get a good match between panels. I've got a qoute to re-do my passenger wing for £120.
  16. its http://www.needforspeed.co.uk If you go to the link with .com you get EA games. Thanks Tim.
  17. why not go for the OZ 'All Terrain' Canyon ST wheels...
  18. Dalj...i can't wait to see johnny boys 20Vt, ya bro keeps goin on about how fast it is...heard he's trying to push it to around 400+BHP...thats crazy considering its only 2wd aint it?? Bring on Inters!!! 8)
  19. get a neighbour to jump it....you'll be able to deactivate the alarm then and then start the car...drive it for a bit till the battery is powered up. My polo's alarm did this. Meanwhile, you could muffle the siren to lighten the noise.
  20. they're also oval and have a different connector etc. My corrado came with 6 led clear oval/chrome repeaters, i didn't like them at first but they're slowly growing on me. The owner gave me a box full of old goodies, which had 2 more sets of repeaters. One being Smoked sqaure ones, and a set of oval frosted ones. The sqaure ones look like golf mk1 repeaters, not sure really...they're not like the ones you guys have above.
  21. take a look here bally. Its picture no.39. Unless its Buddha?? They look MUCH better than stock ones as you can see. 8) http://www.btinternet.com/~john.wintle2 ... uary_2004/
  22. whats the wattage on the amps?? I'm pretty sure if they fit in the door panel..they can't be putting out 50watts!? Why not put some 5.25 components in and have them powered off the unit...if not buy a bigger amp and amp them. I have an alpine set up in mine. head unit is the 9815RB which puts out 60watts per channel, and the amp i have powering the 200watts 6.5" comps in the custom door builds i made, is an older V12 series amp bridged to give out 140watts to each side of the car. Need any advice check here: http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/index.php?
  23. can you get clear items to match in-pro rear lights?? If you guys are apart of the yahoo corrado group...john wintle posted a clip of a 16vG60 screaming up a road. In the same directory was a picture of 2 corrados, one was probably the 16vG60 and his indicators and lamps were crystal jobbies. Know where to get them?? 8)

  25. dave, was the Kr block he got tuned at stealth just a normal std 139bhp one? cos thats what it sounded liek when i read it, then stealth did something to the warm up regulator, tweaked the fuel timing etc and he got an extra 21bhp...for £88 he says. Am i reading that right? or has he got the cams in to do that. :| Sorry to offload the topic..but hows the engine transplant getting on?
