  1. They are tight as Phil ! It can be done without a press but there will be a lot of swearing and sweating !
  2. Sure is James . It will need to go back to the paint shop soon ! , I have some bubbling on the boot lid , where the window seal is . Bummer ! .
  3. Great news , looking forward to the pics Phil .
  4. Thank you for all the comments , much appreciated . I forgot to mention a friend took me up in his scooby , Christ them things are quick ! I've never been in one before .
  5. Small update . I put the car in on tuesdsay night to have it mopped and polished . It has not been done since i had it repainted four years ago , or was it five now ? i cant remember .They are iphone pics and the sun went in so not the best quality but im pleased at the results of the polish . The chap did mention to me that once he had stripped the old polish and wax off ,it had quite a lot of scratches , but these have all gone now . I also dropped the rear beam off to be dipped , blasted and powder coated . I will very soon have all my parts for the underside refurb . I managed to get to a friends house today to get the other parts i needed , centre tunnel handbrake , heated loom and switch , heater controls , fog and indicators and boot carpet . Im sure there were some other bits too . Anyways here are some pics , again sorry about the quality . Thanks for looking Rob
  6. Thanks for posting Jim .
  7. Congrats on the sale Sean . And congrats on your purchase Golfman , welcome along .
  8. Hi Ray , the fuel presure regulator is at the end of the fuel rail . If you remove the fuel pipe and crank the car you can see if it spurts fuel , just remember when removing it, it will be under presure and could spurt out , mind your eyes !. I dont think you can test the regulator ?, it maybe worth getting a second hand one to test if it is at fault . My non starting thread will be of use to you .
  9. It is a bleedin nightmare isn't it ! . I would pay good money to watch someone break into my house , I swear to god if a twig falls off a tree and lands on the drive my two dogs would hear it and go mental , if we were out and they got in..... You defiantly ain't getting out ! , not without loosing a few fingers anyway lol . Wonder if they will put my premium down if I say the dogs sleep in the corrado ?
  10. Thanks Jim , I will give them a call . Yes I have mods to the car and need a classic policy as it's not a daily , but it is kept on a drive and has limited miles policy too . £295.00 is too much I think . When I was at my old address it was kept in a locked garage , apparently this made no difference ! And there was me thinking I would get a few quid off for that .
  11. Christ it's that time of the year for me now too . Here we go again ! It really gets in my nerves, I'm 45 years old , no convictions , past my test in 1988 . Live in a good area and people younger than me get a miles better quote . I'm not saying you too are younger , but the amount of chaps on here paying under £200.00 ! I'm going to have to spend most of my Saterday arguing with ins company's , trying to get a sensible quote .

    Noob error

I agree with Rog. Put it this way , if you had two standard cars , one with 2.8 manifold and one with a 2.9 , did a quarter mile in both I reckon the 2.9 would be 100th of a second quicker ! .
  13. GLWS Sean , great for sale ad . Hope it sells mate .
  14. I've been on the site for a quick look Dox, weather they have an English translation I don't know ,(should have tried harder in school) . But yes there are pics of various dubs and it looks like the one mentioned is a mk2 tray .
  15. Hi Anna , I have spare trumpet part which you could use for a copy , should you need it . One of the old forum chaps had a few made , a while back . I'm happy to send it to you . Rob
  16. It may sound daft , but I take it the battery tray is the same size on all models ? . There is a French site that sells German made trays , just thought I would check before ordering . Many thanks Rob
  17. I have the Jetex system , lovely burble and not to loud .
  18. It is a good read , I've followed this from the begining . Great work Sean .
  19. In the words of Tim nice but dim , bloody nice bloke . Thank you sir .
  20. Nice collection . In my old dears loft in a box , I have all my thunderbird toys , batman car and the green hornet car . Sadly they are a bit worse for ware, but they were meant to be played with lol . I remember in 1978 my dad bought me the scalextrix figure of eight track . James hunt car and john player special car to go with it . Anybody on here old enough to remember whirlybird ? The helicopter that went round on a wire ? . Or the aircraft carrier that had a long wire attached to it and the plane zipped down it and slowed on the elastic band when it hit the deck ? It was called deck something ? . Oh childhood toys , great times ! Edit , I think it was called flight deck ? Yep it's on YouTube .
  21. I used a similar membrane to do mine too , being in the building trade it was free , as well as being a plasterer I do loads of damproofing , we use the same tape as used to bond the liner to the door so that was free as well.
  22. You need a lock on the parts store Sean lol . Good luck with the sale mate .
