There is a thread from a while back . If you use the search , you will find it . Tells you all you need to know .
-
Anything from , £1500 to £7k . It depends if you do the prep , ie strip the car . Are you confident to rub it Down yourself and save money that way ? . Just remember if someone quotes you 1k , you get what you pay for ! .
-
What Harrier is getting at is some pics of the reverse side , eg the rubbers .

Will do Phil . I will be seeing a mate over the weekend hopefully , his engine is removed , so it will be easier , as I will have to remove the battery on mine , to take a pic of where they run too . All you can see with the battery in is a bunch of wires running along side of it . It's difficult to get the pics , when I looked at what I sent it doesn't really make much sense .
-
Im not sure if these are any good Phil . The light is bad and its even darker in the bay . Most of the wires are rapped so not good for following colours . If you have any queries about what goes where i would be happy to check and report back , i will try and trace them the best i can . Edit , they look even worse now they are on here !
-
I can do this later when I get home from work Phil , if someone has not posted some pics by then .
-
I would be up for this , depending on date and place . Should we lay on some AA assistance ! . Scrub that I'm tempting fate .

What is this noise? Piston slap? (VR6) - maybe not the end of the world..

Just a thought . It may be wise to leave it alone . I'm not in any way suggesting that you have been taken and been ripped off , but if you found something , put it back together , went to workshop and told them they may say , why have you tampered with it . We've all seen program's on TV and had experiences of company's that will say " you've messed with it , warranty is now invalid " , they only need the smallest excuse to get out of sorting the problem , that they know is going to cost them . Like I said , it's just a thought . Good luck with this Jim . I hope you can sort this mess out with the least amount of hassle . -
Thanks for being understanding Chris . I will get it sorted though .
-
No it's fine , it's a well known person on here , with a very good reputation , so no problem there . I need to get it sorted though .
-
Another problem sorted then James . Nice work .
-
Maybe it's my end then Ian . I got a pm from the seller and he receives payments from other people . As I said it's always gone smoothly before . I will re check everything again , to see if I can sort it .

Evening all . Im trying to pay someone using Paypal . Ive paid them before for parts, with no problems . However i have tried a few times recently and it says , '' the recipient does not take this sort of payment'' ? . Ive tried sending as a gift and for goods but it still says the same thing . I have contacted the seller and its not a problem ,i will send it by bank transfer . Does this happen with any of you chaps on here ? , is it me ? .Just thought i would ask to see if i can sort it before i contact Paypal , Any info is much appreciated . Regards Rob

Christ I hope it's not piston slap and turns out to be something simple . I have to agree with Vaghag , people work so hard for their dough to spend on things they want . If the job that's done is not up to standard , then it needs to be sorted . Really hope you get this sorted Jim . -
Great work as usual Jim .
