  5. He will vagcom it Rog , should be straight forward . No these have to be glued on Supercharged . Rob
  6. Thanks James , my friendly mechanic will have the car on Wednesday , hopefully it will only be a sensor and not the pump ! Rob

  9. Take a look at what I put up earlier bud . Going to try again during the week , not a happy bunny right now ! Rob
  10. Not sure if it's cellulose or water based Ray . James I was using the spirit to remove the glue I had put on , I thought I would use this instead of thinners as it's less harmfull .will restick the foam next week , maybe it was not dry enough when I shut the bonnet .
  11. Just spoken to the bloke who painted the car and he thinks it's the white spirit that's agitated the paint .
  12. Ray it was the 3m 80 , Loepan , no it should not blister the paint , worried sick about this now .
  13. The recommended glue to stick the bonnet foam has now blistered my new paint !!!!!. I can't believe this , I really can't . It says it may effect some paint . But blister it ??!!. I am now going to have to find some other way of sticking it to cover up the damage . Really didn't need this before Volksfest .
  14. Just found Jims post and I have used the correct glue , not sure what I've done wrong ?
  15. I have chucked the instructions now , I'm sure it said 3m 80 ?? Just come back to the car , From putting it on this morning and it's all fallen off .
  16. I decided to put my foam on this morning , must have spent an hour offering up then thinking , then offering it up . I s?&t myself doing this job ! My hands were shaking so much as I didn't want to nause it up . It's all on , I did get a small amount on one piece on the wrong side , which now won't come off . No use crying about it though what's done is done . Doing this sort of job brought back memories from way back when I used to be a decorater . Me and the governor had to hang silk wallpaper in the mayors chambers in London . At £180 a roll of paper we couldn't help but shake .
  17. As Hasan said , I did this before I bought a new set .
  18. No one ? Someone must have a pair or even one kicking about in a tin . Rob
  19. Delete , obsolete , all gone .
  20. Ask around , do any of your mates know an auto electrician ? Anyone you know how to use a multimeter ? . Finding out what the problem is , will be a lot cheaper than replacing parts and guessing what the fault is . I've made this mistake and others on here and it can be very expensive . Rob
