right i'm talking to myself now, but found out that the 2.0l system is just an updated version and will not flow any more fuel because the injectors are the same, but dub sport said that the system on an audi ur quattro is K jet this might work and should flow more fuel. He is having a look and he's gonna let me no later

right forget about the mk3 system. how is the one on the 2.0l corrado uprated from the 1.8 16v, are the injectors bigger

yeh that solved my problems. if you no some one with a valver ask them if you can swap it for a couple of days

I had the same problem olly elworthy is right mine went and it took me age's to find out what it was. Am i right in saying it is like a crank shaft position sensor in that it tell's the engine what position everything is in

so it must be possible to fit a fuel system from the 2.0l engine to i 1.8 16v engine what would have to be swaped

what is the differance mainly in the fuel systems between a 2.0l 16v corrado and a 2.0l 16v MK3 golf gti. and how easy would it be to fit to a 1.8 16v kjet engine.

just had a look sounds like the seller has had a few? will pro do what he says but dont think it will give that much of a change, its gonna reduce drag and improve air flow because the air has less distance to travel. if you do buy it let me no if it made a difference.

i had a problem like this with my old 1.8 valver took me ages to find it, mine was the distributor apparently they have a kind of engine position sensor on them (like a crank shaft position sensor) and that intermittently worked and didnt work so revs would shoot up and down back fire then stop after a while it would start up fine again. not sure if its the same on the 2l but you could try it.

is it all the time or just every so often

do you no anybody with a 16v golf or corrad. id try swoping the ISV and just try that. does the engine bog and die, cut out all of a sudden or slowly come to a stop.

does it tick over ok when its cold and warm

LOL i ment any other damage, it was very low the oil light came on it took 2 liters before it showed on the dip stick and he had been driving it for a couple of days like taht had giving it some too stuipd realy what you wreckon. its already done 160k so it will be i bit worn as it is???

do you think driving it with no oil in will have done any damage

what car is it off that would help (16v G60 VR)?

right ok but whils its down that far he should get the chains done any other problems to look out for on a high milage vr cos he is not sure if its been looked after

cheers what about the head what kind of valves does it have could it be them. dont forget the engine has done 160k what mileage should the chains be done

hi all my mate has just bought a VR6 corrado body is mint but engine has done 160k which is tapping (or rattling). i know these engines have cam chains, he said he doesnt no if its had the cam chain done or not but the guy just said it needs a service lol. It didnt have any oil in it at all off the dipstick when i looked and he drove it home and has been thrashing it about a bit like that. does it sound like the cam chains or something else, and how much will it cost for him to have the chains done. cheers

hi i no this aint bout a corrado but. ive bought a chip for my 8v digifant golf (track car) its not turned up yet but has anybody fitted one of these and do they no if any soldering is involved. cheers

not sure which ones, onoe of them are nackerd i was just gonna uprate and renew them, it is a kit so im not sure exactly which ones youy get ill find out though

LOL no its had the turbo technics (stealth) kit on it but just ran a bit hot at nurburgring this year so thought id try an upgrade
