I am selling a set of genuine BBS cross spoke alloys. Wheels are undamaged and have been refurbished and powder coated. They come with a set of genuine BBS centre caps. Looking for £290.00 I am unable to post images for whatever reason from my laptop. Wheels are also on Gumtree, advert number 1217332230 where images can be viewed

Corrado VR6 wanted for Piston Heads photoshoot
robinw replied to Pieman2's topic in General Car Chat
It's nice to read an honest article which really praises the car. Your car has come out very well given the dark sky. Well done -
In a word, no. I have not heard of this group. Perhaps you could provide me with some info.
-
Hi. Like you I missed them. I have spoken to a local graphics company in Edinburgh and he is making me up a set. They should be ready early next week. He is using The Image Chris provided and they will be made up on vinyl film which can be applied to standard size acrylic number plates. I will let you know when they are ready

Hi I arranged similar cover through Footman James. My Corrado is a 3rd car, iit is garaged and I agreed 3k miles per year. The price came in around £170 and covered both guaranteed value and recovery/salvage rights. They offered breakdown cover for an additional £37 which undercut any other offers. They were straightforward to deal with. Good luck

Corrado VR6 wanted for Piston Heads photoshoot

Hi. I received a similar email. It would be interesting to know whose car they have selected to use -
Jim. I had a problem with Vodafone and didn't give up. It took a letter to a legal columnist in one of our Scottish papers and within a day, they sorted the issue. So, I wouldn't give up. As you say, the motor is a sealed unit, consequently the chances of glass intrusion is nigh on impossible. Robin

Jim I think you are wholly justified in pursuing a case against Autoglass. Common sense dictates that you clear / clean broken glass before operating any mechanisms. The technician should have been aware of the risks and taken steps to remove the door panels and clean out the cavity prior to operating the mechanism. I would say that they have a duty of care to prevent further damage. They are meant to be the experts after all. Contact the Managing Director direct and don't be fobbed off by some call centre operative who is reading from a script. Good luck. Robin

Hi I have a standard Storm in Classic Green. I have sent you an email with some images. -
Hi Chris I am sorry I missed these. Do you still have the details of the company who made them up.

Hi Guys I am still looking for a dash trim for a late model VR6. Mine has cracked at the radio area. I am in Edinburgh but happy to pay postage
-
I thought that might be the case. There appears to be more early ones about. Fingers crossed.
-
Hi Guys. I am looking for the central dash trim for a 95 VR. Mine has a crack at the radio section. I am in Central Scotland if local for a pick up but happy to pay postage.

I recently contacted the membership secretary of CCGB to try and source a Corrado profile membership window decal for my car. I don't think he fully grasped what I was looking for and advised that the only sticker was the revised rectangular membership sticker, which in my opinion looks naff. The profile decal had some character and looked good.

4 X BBS 5 x100, 6 1/2j, cross spoke alloys. Refurbished and powder coated in silver, now as new. £295

Hi I have a set of 15 inch Bbs cross spokes, complete with original large nut centre caps, from a VR6 golf which I have just had refurbished and powder coated in silver.
-
Hi I am looking for the dash trim that surrounds the radio, switches etc. I have a crack in mine where the radio sits.

Took a further trip to the scrappies and got some thinner VW door lock pins from a Polo. Combined with the BMW rings, they work perfectly.
-
Hi. It's not them. It's the black plastic ring/sleeve that you see round the button on the top of the door card. I checked with TPS but they are no longer available. I ordered the Golf equivalents from VW Heritage but the bore is too small. I got a selection from various VW's as well as BMW's at the scrapie yesterday but the bores are all too tight. I might have to try alternative plastic door pin from to see if that works.
-
I am looking for the plastic door pin guide / finisher that clips into the door trim. I had a minor repair carried out to the trim and the guide was found to be broken. I have tried a number of guides from other VW models but the corrado door pins are too thick to allow free movement

Hi Sean, I spoke with my local TPS centre this morning. All colours of the cap are now obsolete. Was worth a try
