  1. Hi mate, I tried that. It will only allow me on to newbies and forum questions and and answers. Think I have to subscribe to acsess everything else. Fair enough.
  2. Hi Corrado fans. So im not a genuine newbie. Ive actually been on this forum since 2009. Although ive not actually been on for years and i certainly feel like a newbie as the forum has totally changed! Ive had 3 Corrados over the years Sold my last one, a Storm on here about 7 years ago. So the reason for my return was to sell of some parts ive had lying around for must be 10 years. bonnet, doors, tailgate, sub frames and some other bits off a 91 G60. I had them stashed in an old store room at work and the new boss has thrown loads of my parts in the skip- managed to drag out the main bits although some smaller parts and interior trims are wrecked- including a mint headlining which was folded in half 😤 Can't for the life of me figure out how to list them on this new style forum. Do I have to be a subscriber or something?? Anyways, its nice to be back and its been a real blast from the past to brows some of the current posts and see some of your Rado pics. 👏👏 Cheers Matt
  3. Hi, I've got a drivers door, no rot, no dents, complete with interior and exterior handles, outer rub strip, lock and central locking all there, window gear and motor there. Glass still in. It's missing the mirror and lower glass rubber trims/scrapper. Exterior rubber trim/seal that goes around the top frame is ripped where the mirror mounted.

  5. Dox- just needs the wings painting should the blue ones go on. Plus the bit that needs repairing on the sill. The wings that are on arn't horrendous, seen much worse, but my intention almays was to get her mint. But in reality it was never gonna happen as she was my daily as well.
  6. Cheers for the feedback guys. Breaking is not really anoption for me. Broke my last g60 as it got badly rear ended and I pulled in nearly 2k but it was VERY time consuming and I've still got bits of it hidden all over! Also, I'd feel quite bad breaking a storm. I'd much rather it went to someone with the time and motivation to get her back to her best. I'll ponder over it over the weekend me thinks. Thanks again for the comments. Matt.
  7. Hi all, it's been a while since I've been on here so apologise if this post is in the wrong area! I'm a corrado owner who has lost the love I'm afraid! Had 3 rado's since I was about 20, now 32 with 2 kids and 0 time! I have a classic green storm with 97k. Unforfunatly she spat the belt off on the way back from center parks and I cooked her- head gasket gone:( Shes been sat there for about 5 months now, and I just haven't the time or if I'm honest, the will to resurect her. Interior is good, exterior lets it down a bit. Needs front wings replacing, has a bad rust spot on the o/s sill. She has a private plate which an internet site has offered me 500 quid for but tax and mot have expired. I have 2 wings and a complete sill and back 1/4 section in blue to repair the rusty bits but I really can't be ar##d with it any more. So what I want to know is how much do you guys think its worth, I was thinking 1000 quid with the repacement wings and back quarter. I,ve been offered 450!! What are your thoughts? Does anyone fancy a winter project?!! Thanks for reading, Matt (Burnley).
  8. Got one of these from VW about 6 months ago. Was only £35 ish. It's the ISV damper. Mine exploded one morning for some reason. Been ok since tho.
  9. Hi mate, pics as promised. Washer jets, wiring, pipes etc included. Insulation on underneath could do with replacing. Other than that it looks good. Still shines after 12+ months in storage. Quick buff up and it will be as good as new.
  10. Hi mate, i've got a moonlight blue bonnet with hinges. It was resprayed about 12 months before I broke the car so it's a good un! There was no rust on it previously, just had it sprayed to get rid of the stone chips etc. I've kept it as a spare just in case anything happens to my VR but could sell. £100, let me know if your interested and i'll put some pics up.
  11. I've also done the cooler seals without taking the front off. I had a pit to stand in tho, which made it easier. Doing it on your back will be a bit trickier but easily do-able.
  12. Hi jon, can't help with the part numbers, just thought i'd share this. When I fitted my new leads I got the dizzy ones by mistake, fitted them anyway because it was a hastle to take them back. They've been on a year now and seem fine! Does anyone know what the difference is apart from getting an extra lead? I couldn't really compare performance before and after as the origial leads were totally knackered when I got the car and i'd not driven a VR before! They looked pretty similar and it runs well enough.
  13. I'm going for the foreign ham as I don't really care what colour the badge is. Just as long as its not that crap waifer thin stuff you get in the plastic packets?
  14. You have to buy the bulb and holder complete from VW. They are only cheap, they had to order me one in tho when I did mine- as they do for everything i've ever bought off them!
  15. Yes you will loose it. Drain it in to a clean container and put it back in after if you don't wanna buy anymore.
  16. I broke my 1992 G60 because it got wrote off. I decided to break it as the insurance company bummed me with the pay out. I got £1800 from them and they wanted £500 to buy it back from them. I'd been rear ended :camp: and shunted in to a mini infront so repairing it was out of the question really. The car was near mint with 80k on it, i'd paid £3000 for it only 12 months earlier. The only way to make up the cash was to break it. I stored it at work telling the boss it would only be a month, it took me 12 months! I started, then sort of lost the will to live! If your going to do it, you need to really get stuck in and not let the task get on top of you. As said before, the wrapping and posting is a big job in itself- you'll be on 1st name terms with your local post office! Don't ask silly money for things as there are loads of people breaking corrado's who will jump in and sell for less if your asking too much ( I probably let stuff go too cheap TBH ie, mint leather interior for £350  (didn't do my research!!). Also do your research for postage costs for larger items before you give someone a price as it's often more than you think. I used parels2go which i never had a problem with but some on here have had stuff lost with them. I used Parcel force to start off with and they lost a full ABS system for me so I'd say avoid them. I have made around £2000 up to now and still have body panels, doors, bonnet, glass left, (Just incase I have another prang in my new C) as well as interior bits and bobs which I still hawk around every now and again. So £ wise i'm at £3300, a profit of £300 from what I paid for the car and i've got loads of spares for my new C just in case! So all in all its worth doing but is hard work and time consuming- would I do it again? ... yes but only if I really had to!
  17. Hi mate, i'll take a 3 relay for a 95 VR please. Not fussed about the connectors. No rush, let me know when you want payment and i'll paypal it to you. Thanks, Matt.
  18. Hi mate, yes i've got the speaker covers and the interior sunroof panel. You can have the lot for £25 posted? All in good condition, sunroof panel could do with a clean as it's been in the garage for a while. It's not filthy or anything, just needs a quick clean to be mint.
  19. Got mine from TPS, I didn't ask for anything special, just standard VR6 leads. The ones that they supplied were red. Priced about £95 if I remember rightly.
  20. Possibly have the speaker covers and interior sunroof panel. I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know.
  21. Yes the original mounting was a sealed oil filled unit, so if it's leaking it is knackered. The new ones have been replaced by full rubber ones. They cost about £40 from Vw and also improve the general smoothness of acceleration and gear changing due to the engine not lurching around. There are some threads on here about uprated mountings that may be of interest to you as well.
  22. Panel looks a lot better now!! Glad it cleaned up ok mate- £15-bargin- I'm just too kind!
  23. I had a 2.0 16v in about 2002. My mate loved it so he bought an 1.8 as they were quite a bit cheaper at the time and he couldn't stretch to a 2.0. His was quicker than mine. Gutted  Natually expected the 2.0 to be faster but not so due to CAT and other things they had to put on the 2.0. Id go for the 1.8 if I was in the market for a valver.
