  1. I think there's one in the back rest as well. I read on here somewhere that the rado only has heated bases but mine defo gets warm on the backs as well. You'll know if it has or not when you see it as it will have 2 wires running up in to the seat back as well as to the base. I didn't needed to strip my backs down but the covers looked to be fitted in the same way as the base covers so it can't be that hard.
  2. Take the elements out of the grey and fit them to the biege. You'll just need to remove the leather covers to get to the elements. I had my seats in bits to check the elements when one stopped working. Took about an hour to remove seat, strip, check them put back together.
  3. Hi mate, I don't know the VW part no but the one you mention on euro car parts is the one you need. It sounds a bit dear to me tho. I'm sure I paid about £20-£25. You will be able to pick one up from a good local motor factors. They're not as hard to get hold of as you might think. I got offered a full pump or a cheaper part which is actually half the pump (the bit that gets knackered). I'd go for the full pump as its alot easier to fit, it just bolts to the block (you don't need a gasket). The cheaper option involves splitting the pump and fitting the new half which is a lot of messing about for the sake of a few quid. Easiest way to do it is to remove drivers side headlight and remove charger then it's right in front of you. Hope this helps.
  4. Bad workmanship plain and simple! If you wanted a job doing to a sh#te standard you could have taken it to dodgy bob's auto's for a quater of the price! They must know they've made a balls up and are hoping to fob you off! Threaten them with trading standards! They could of killed you at the end of the day!
  5. I just did mine, used an autoglym majic sponge with Mer vinyl cleaner. Comes up like new.
  6. Keep it mate, you'll only end up buying another one cos you miss it!! Did you manage to get the bumper sorted?
  7. I would think they changed the loom when they changed the interior. That was August 1992 ish. If your replacement loom is from a car with late style interior it should go strieght in to your 93 model. The exterior changes were about a year earlier so that part of the loom should be the same anyway. I had a 92 with late exterior and early interior- slightly confusing when getting bits for it!
