The parts combination sounds about right. 92/J got facelifted externals, but retained the early interior stuff.
-
It certainly is good news for current owners, that's for sure.
-
Nope. Traders / speculators have bought some good ones, and dreamt up some crazy prices. More reasonably priced examples come up for sale on here though! The most expensive ones have been up for sale now for months and months.. as much as it's nice to see high asking prices, the reality is those examples just aren't selling.

There is always interest in DIY guides, especially when it comes to rebuilds, etc! If you have the time to write something up, it'd be much appreciated.

Unfortunately Corrado's have very much stepped across into that sort of territory now. Wiring issues, structural / bodywork maintenance, etc. Not attractive propositions for a solid daily driver any more unless you like keeping busy with this kind of tinkering.
-
Really low mileage considering that's a K reg too!
-
Wow I'd snap his hand off! Great offer!
-
Honestly not a lot. The Estoril was never a popular alloy anyway, and if they're curbed and need refurbing I'd be surprised if you'd even net £50 for them.
-
Like I say chaps - I will make a new thread when they're in my hands and will sell them on a first come first served basis. As soon as they run out I will get more ordered and just keep going until every Corrado owner that needs a pair, has a pair!
-
I think the fairest thing will just be for me to post a new thread, and people can get them in order they reply. And when I sell out of those pairs, if there's more demand, I'll order more. I'll keep ordering them until everyone who wants a set has a set!
-
Right - just ordered 20 pairs :) Hopefully be with me in a few weeks.
-
Here we go. The colour difference is more noticable in the pictures than it is actually on the car.
-
OK - I will look to get an order in tonight. I've been putting it off for ages! The fit is good but the colour match isn't 100%.. the black plastic I use is ever so slightly lighter than the black plastic used for the interior trim on the Corrado. When they're in place they look fine, but just if you have OCD for detail it might annoy you :) I'll sort some pictures out so you can see what I mean.

I'm the only person with the STL file. Please don't take this the wrong way, but given that I invested a significant amount of my own personal time in working with a 3D modelling company to produce this part a couple of years ago, I'm not too keen on just giving away the model file - as they were a re-worked & tweaked design, and aren't just direct replicas of the original part. There would be nothing to stop you or someone else taking the file and re-selling it to another company or selling printouts to a company. I'm sure you wouldn't do that, but just saying, once the file is released other people can profit off the back of time and energy that I invested - which I'm less than keen on. I was hoping to get another run of these produced very soon though, probably after christmas and won't be charging the earth for them. I get them printed via Shapeways now and they come in under a tenner a pair. In fact I'm happy to fire off an order in the next couple of days as there have been a few folks asking for a set, if you'd be interested :)

Welcome to the forum! Bit of a trek from Norfolk unfortunately, but JMR / John Mitchell Racing based down in Littlehampton on the south coast are G60 experts :) They'd be able to get your Corrado right back up to speed again! Contact details, etc are on their website: http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk I'd seriously consider ditching the cone filter by the way - they're well known for not helping the lifespan of the G-Lader because of less fine filtration compared to the classic airbox / paper filter design. Where abouts in Norfolk are you by the way?

All the fixing nuts and bolts are still available from VW dealers, and aren't crazy money - I had to buy a full new set for mine recently :)
-
Not sure his mechanic could keep up with the workload :)
-
Apricot and Optimax.. bleurgh!
-
DPM were where I got mine from and they were great to deal with. No problems recommending them. In terms of ride, quality, etc they seem fine. They don't compare to higher end stuff but then they cost half of what some entry level coilovers from KW would cost, so like everything in life, you get what you pay for. I'd happily buy them again for another Corrado if I wanted adjustable ride height on a budget.
-
You're not a million miles from me if you wanted to borrow a socket for removing spark plugs.
-
Pretty sure the fuel pump relay is the bottom right most relay on all Corrado's, on the relay board.
-
Have you checked to see whether you're getting fuel at all? Try cranking it over for a bit then whip out a spark plug and see if it is wet with fuel or stinks of fuel. Check the fuel pump relay? Fuses?

Body shops in the Warwick Leamington Kenilworth
Jim replied to Hatton VR6's topic in Suppliers Forum
Wendy on here had her Corrado stripped and respected by them and they did a super job. And a colleague at work currently has his MK2 Scirocco getting a full bodywork restoration there with new panels, respect, etc. Can definitely vouch for their work! As I say only problem may be lead time... my friends Scirocco was stored there for at least 14 months before they had the time to start on it!! -
Top job :) Looks excellent!
