yer ive googled it aswell theres a switch inside i read that moves the audi badge so that you can check fluids.bet someone will bring a tool out soon to open the bonnet

hi i am going to spray my car in next few weeks.i am going to remove the rub strips before spraying it,i have thought of leaving them off but i think they look good on a white corrado.just wonderd if its possible to get them for the doors,i reckon i could reuse the wing and quarter strips.my door ones are a bit wonky donkey now so i dont think i could stick them back on.also whats best to stick them on ,double sided foam tape seems a bit to thick to me

so when i get to fitting them , if they are late wings will they fit ok and look ok

hi i bought 2 second hand wings for my early 1990 corrado,the advert on ebay said they are off an early corrado.is there anyway to tell the differace between early and late wings just to make sure.ive done the filler repairs and got them in spray filler,just need to flat that down and primer them.

it does look good tim.we used to sell upol in work before we stopped selling paint a lot of people didnt like it.cant see why tho with that shine.is that the same thats for sale on ebay

yer its going to be full car,i want the best shine i can get as its got a very good shine now for a white car.that sherwyn williams stuff is american so that site you said about could well be worth a try.i used to do bodywork years ago but 2k paint didnt get used that often it was all celly,which doesnt hold its shine very well.i am going to be spraying it at my mates bodyshop.

cheers for that info,i think you are right about the thinners turning the clear dull.my mate puts cheap thinners in aswell so that cant help.i just want to get it right.been told sherwyn williams clear coat is good costs about £98 for 5ltrs of clear and 2.5 activator

thats not a bad price,thing is with that kapci clear ive seen it go dull after a few months

go to your local unipart and they will order you them

yer just a light rub to give the paint a key,try ebay for the gravitex or some uniparts mite have it in stock still

you can primer over the top of it then use a top coat and clear.make sure the stoneguard has gone off tho or it will crack.if you want a thicker look stone guard you will need a proper gun and compressor with the screw on the gun stonguard

hi i am looking at buying a good quality 2k basecoat and clearcoat for my alpine white corrado.ive looked on ebay at the clear and theres some realy cheap stuff on there.the max meyer stuff might be ok just not sure.can anyone point me in the right direction as i dont want it going dull in a few months.ppg d800 is very good but its trying to get the correct thinner and activator to go with it

hi it will be stone guard on the sills and bottom of wings.you might get away with just spraying the stone guard,it depends on how good the colour match is.ive seen people use a fade out thinner and you cant tell after
