Hi pat probably posting in the wrong thread Just wondering if you can get hold of some original G60 coolant hoses? (dont really want the shiny samco hoses in the bay) VW tells me that most original hoses are obsolete since 2008 Im after one specifically this --- 191 121 051 R but if you could get hold of a few ? i would be very gratefull cheers mate

Good to see a very nice example getting some press from a quite classy (lol) petol head mag (looks bone stock except the bonnet bra) Though i would scan i in for all to see here you go .....
-
Anyone on here read the most recent Shell V-zine magazine? near the back there is a small article about a guy and his dad taking a G60 to germany on a road trip, its only a small article but good to see a G60 in the limelight what made me laugh was the article began with "Eight years and thousands of pounds later......" sound familiar ?

Most of corrado owners will only use V-power so filling up is getting jolly expencive and i dont really watch the economy of the thing instead im always keeping an eye on water and oil temps...... lol

so hungover today..... yeah it was G-Werks but it would be out of warrenty anyway so...... nothing can be done about it so im not gonna get wound up As for what im gonna do engine wise I am deffinatly keeping it as a G60 and will get another G-Ladder without question G60's are a pain in the ass but so much fun + the noise is immense also theyre pretty damn rare now because of things excatly like this i guess @redfox ive only used VW oil filters and i use silver synta from VW and do oil changes every 3 k (charger had fresh oil when it was first getting bed in) and yeah checked my oil lines ect could be loads of different things i'll never know why it went this way I know bar-tek sell individual scrolls on there own for about 350 euros but thats assuming the inlet side is still okay just gutted that ive now gone through two chagers in under two years..... -

i brought the whole unit and yeah i got a recipt but theyre no longer trading...... -
Well im gutted to be honest dont really know what to do......pretty F*****G angry to be frank Last june a brought what was suposed to be a stage 4 fully rebuilt charger ..... and i have driven around 3000 miles since fitting it (i followed the fitting and bedding in guide 100% to the word) here comes the sob story.... so i ordered my new radiator (my old one is leaking) on friday and though i would get some prep work done today to make it easy on myself next weekend when i fit it.... so im removing all hoses, wires ect that could get in the way and i removed the first boost hose off my RSR outlet to find oil coating the walls...... so i looked further into it taking my RSR off and i found part of the seal poking out the exhaust end of the charger :'( I knew what this ment imediatley so i took my chager out the car and got it into the garage opening it to find this... now... the exhaust side of the scroll is totally gone and is beyond help .....but i cant see any issue with the intake side , there is no signs of scars on the scroll or anything imediatly obvious to me obviously im going to get proffesional advise on the intake side I really need some beer.... and a new charger god dammit *EDIT* im just looking for some advice really from 16vG60 or one of the G60 boys on what to do...

yep that looks wicked mate cheers

It dont mean a thing if your C is bling bling or does it?
northG60 replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
i dont really get a choice with mine..... as whenever i look to buy some leather seats or another set of wheels somthing mechanical will let go so i'll just updrage or replace parts one step at a time although mine does have a smoothed front bumper which isnt somthing that i would look to do myself i do actually like the look and quite a few corrado's in the really cheesy adverts on youtube have smoothed front bumpers.... so not to far from the tree really -
89k thats pretty low really..... got any more info on the car? colour ect just noticed that your planning on selling it? @Deane PM sent
-
Congrats on buying a G60 ......theyre great cars + the noise your reg is quite close to mine J34 MNA (6 numbers and letter reg plates only seem to be on J plates)all corrado's either came with grey or black interiors which were ordered by the buyer or the dealer i think no significance there really ........ but the cloth electric recaros your have they are very rare in all models and years if they are original of course ? as many corrados will have had new seats swapped in as for your charger at this age now most G60s have had the charger re-built and jabba are very well known for G60 rebuilds, there will be a code scratched into your charger which is above the outlet side of the charger which you could read off to jabbasport and see what was work was done and when would be a nice suprise the charger has been ported and polished.... get a boost gauge fitted to your dash and take a reading from the inlet manifold its the best way to keep an eye on the health of you G-Ladder and trust me you dont want to be forking out for a new unit my last charger was fecked and was an arse to source a good replacement at the time good luck mate any pics of the car ?

Great build thread and an inspirational G60 also ..... that thing is going to absolutely fly i think the black badgeless four-slat grill is best or even paint the eyebrow gloss black for contrast from the blue -
if you could check out the price ? that would be great cheers mate
-
My rad is beyond help so i need a new unit ......or potentially re-core ? basicly who should i go to for a good brand new unit ? and what sort of price should i expect ? i dont fancy getting ripped off Dealer is shut today but i remember reading that a g60 rad is now obsolete ? cheers guys ---------- Post added at 12:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:34 PM ---------- What are the UK G60 Rad dimentions? i keep finding stuff about US spec rads with aircon

Spotted a Blue VR6 in St.Ives Cambs last night waiting at the cashpoint and got chatting to the guy about all things corrado like door handles, windscreen wipers lights ect and turns out he brought his corrado from NEW 1 Owner its whole life!!!!! and he still uses it 20 years later all the time think it was on a K plate 92' ? didnt know you could get a VR6 on a K plate? must be on of the very first VR's sold...... it was totally bone stock and looked great. told him he should sign himself up on the forum.... cant be many people who have brought one from new and just kept it lol

Adirmal always came up cheapest for me mate.... and also try using different comparison sites adirmals quotes were £400 different for me from compare the market to the cheaper confused.com quote which was strange....

I think there could be two different types the standard tall jobbie one and a stubbie version which ive only seen in white with K&N label it through ebay.....though ive never tried it have you tried to match it up to your existing filter? surely having a smaller filter .....well it means less filtration of crap in the oil ? probably fine to use but i would just find a normal tall one G-Ladders do not like dirt is how i see it
