  1. And now they are leaking petrol what next? A recal because the steering wheel falls off............
  2. Tbh the question you realy have to ask yourself is do you realy like the car...... I paid a lot more than that for mine (ok low milage now on 84k) but as said above if you want to make a project of it go for it i say. wont lie thoe corrado parts arent cheap and arent easy to find. FFS I just bought a new head light switch from VW £70 that blody sw cost me all because the old rocker cover snaped of and if you buy a second hand one you can bet your botom dollar that one will break. So in the grand sceme of things £500 is nothing for a corrado if you realy want it and let face it you could prob knock a nifty off you m8. And as said above it would be nice to see another c being saved from the cluches of the scrap yard.
  3. OUCH! I feel for ya. I hope that when mine eventualy goes in for its rub down respray dinks taken out that noting this bad crops up! Just how much would it cost for something that bad to be repaired properly?
  4. Hey peeps, just wondering, been slowly but surely cleaning under my bonet and have noticed that the foam stuff (presume sound barier and some degree of fire supperession) is well a bit weak and comes away easly there is a chunk missing. Also noticed tha most of the cars in pvw have thiers missing. So my question is what are the pros and cons of removing this stuff and if theres a lot of cons where do i get new stuff to replace the degrading old? Appologies if there is a long thread on this already, couldnt find it if there is.
  5. Please may you pm me the payment details need one too thanks
  6. A(number) VRG black or blue (quite dirty, but in good nick) vr6 on the a507, i was the pleb in my blk astra unfortunatly, tooting and waving behind you lol, turnt towards flitwic industrial estate.
  7. nooo, I like the the turbine look, and think the corrado can proberly pull them off v well.
  8. Thats a bit harsh just because you dont like them dosent mean theyre, well pants I more than likely dont like all the cloths in youre wardrobe, doesnt mean you or the designers of your cloths or alloys or what ever it may be dont have taste, it means that you like something different, if everyone kept cars to a specific taste well they would be boring. I just want something a bit different, dont get me wrong I love the oem look most bbs's give raddos and want to keep my raddo pretty oem but also want it to be a little different.
  9. They do look good ta, but i love the handeling of my car, also its a hard ride as it is its on h&r springs and koni adjustables, need to adjust them realy lol. Ta for the advice, I know the wolfracing alloys are considerd cheap and chavy but i realy like that turbine look and those do it for me, why couldnd bbs have gone a bit of the rails and made them lol.
  10. Hey definatley going to change the alloys on my rado the bbs are nice but dont make me go emmmmmmm. So after strugeling to decide what alloys I like for ages Ive boiled it down to two, not at a later date I will have some work done on teh inside of the alloys, a few of you might have seen it in preformance vw a while back kinda like grafiti on the inside of the alloy kinda different adds intrest i think. So now the two questions. 1. 17"s or 18"s note the raddo is lowered slightly? 2. The new Sirroco alloys http://www.alloywheelspin.co.uk/index.asp?function=PRODUCTIMAGEWINDOW&closedelay=20000&SRC=http://www.alloywheelspin.co.uk/ekmps/shops/unrealwheels/images/18-alloy-wheels-new-scirocco-style-281-p.jpg OR The Wolfrace Lugano http://www.ukservicing.co.uk/images/lugano.jpg Big thanks in advance this is a hard decision and all help is realy apreciated.
  11. Just wondering whether any one has any advice tips and tricks with these alarms and the corrado that im not aware of ta.
  12. Mine has H&R springs and koni adjustable dampers, lowerd slightly, ride is nice and solid and compared to original suspension corrados i test drove much much beter handeling, my c still manages to suprise me when i put it in to a corner a bit quick at just how well it holds. ill get the part numbers if u want. good luck.
  13. OK as omeone who knows the law very well. DO NOT DAMAGE THE CLAMP you will be prosicuted for criminal damage! DO NOT PUT RAZOR BLADES ANYWHERE you will be prosicuted for asualt! Also you can not claim that youre Human rights have been breached, only a Goverment organisation i.e Police Nhs Schools etc can breach the human rights act. Also even if it is a Goverment organisation (im guesing its a privrate company) i.e local council they havent actualy breached any Human right! The best thing you can do is speak to the manager of said company before having the clamp removed, explain that you do and can prove that you had a permit to park there, explain that it was an inocent mistake and that if they insist on charging to remove the clamp, you will take them to a small claims court, claim for time lost the inital charge, and the solicitors fees as a matter of principall explane that removing it for free anc confirming your entiltment to park there is and should be the common sense approach, good luck.
  14. wooooo hoooo well excited just spoted my first corrado since buying mine, a good looking silver vr6, pulling out of amwel end in ware, just round the corner of the level crossing at 15:25 on the 27th of feb.
  15. may have been me on way to luton could it have been green.
  16. this is where a second car comes in handy, a cheep run around get both cars on multi car policy, have to stum up a bit more tax and mot cash too but imo if you ca afford to do it, its well worth it to keep the rado ay?
  17. this is true, i only thought about it because i wastched a new specal on to the toyota matter, tbh apart from brak failure and a sticking accelorator they build pretty good motors.
  18. lol i like it when a kitted up fiesta, fiat or clio sit up my rear, for starters they have breaks and the only reason the accelorator stays on the floor is because it needs to, to stay ticking over lol, i especialy like it when they try and get up my ar$e in a 30 (with out at least one date) and i hit a 60 and leave em, they seem to ease of after that lol. As for van drivers i dont get half as much aggro from them as you do the above. funny realy.
  19. if its ment to be the new corrado i think it an :epicfail: its too high if they stretched that look and made the rear more aggresive and flared those areches a little more also as said above a crease down the doors adn an active spoiler i think they would be right on the money. I personaly like the corrado being a one off moddel, could you imagine saying to people ive got a corrado and then turning up in your old corrado and them being properly confused, stuff that lol. My wing over.
  20. Given Toyota's :epicfail: I wonderd how many if any one feels quite uncomfortable with a Toyota sitting behind while youre driving youre precious Corrado :pale: . And those who werent uncomfortable probabley are now :) .........sorry. Check out the link and give me your opinion. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgur ... 8%26um%3D1
  21. lol my raddo even under shelter seems to soak up moisture from the air in the exhaust, this is proberly due to the material filter in the box and prob the maderials age its prob full of cr*p for moisture to cling to. as i say mine does it till its warmed up for a bit, and wont do it if i leave it for a few hrs and drive again, had an idea on how u can check this theory, run till no more steam let exhaust cool down and tape a bit of plastic bag the over end of exhaust leave raddo sitting for a few days, take bag of and turn her over if my theory is correct this should prove it good luck.

    ABS Light

ukg grand, have you got it fixed yet?, mine is now fixed wheel sensor little :censored: to get out but job done. have you stuck a multi-metre acros the sensors tehy should measure 1,000 k,ohms aprox.
  23. Ive just finished sorting out my raddo one abs senor replaced finaly, arghhhhh it was a :censored: pain in the :censored: :censored: :mad2: the old sensor had a metal case whereit goes through the hole, and had rusted to the blody thing!!! but its out now and the new one is in and working fine abs light out and abs cuts in when u slam em on so i took her for a spin through coundty roads and remberd just why i love her..... BTW to help others out in the future, the resistance of the abs wheel sensors should be aproximatley 1,000 k,ohm Note: this figure will vary slightly depending on the ambient temprature.
  24. i agree with above ive been extremely busy the past two weeks and writing back, althoe i would very much apreciate this gesture would be far down on my luist of things to do lol

    ABS Light

well theyre like 20 - 30 quid so ive heard, wont replace em all at once as and when i can afford it, seem as thoe they comonly go wrong, not suprised realy 15+ year old electrical component next to a bakeing hot break disk, and all that sudden cooling, in my opinyon vw desighned em blody well for them to last this long. i can see the sceniario now 3 days before mot and abs light comes on, i want to avoid that if i can.
